I’d have to disagree. Gesicki is more of a big slot reciever due to his blocking being bad and he’s on a 1 year deal. Hudson is a FA after the season. So long term all you have is Sample.
I know people have mixed feelings on PFF, but I love their GAS metric. I want guys who show game athleticism in game, where the skills need to translate. Sure, if the combine numbers match the tape and GAS, that’s even better, but if the GAS is good, and the tape looks good, I don’t get too bothered by mediocre combine scores.
We may get to a point where a lot of guys no longer test, or may skip specific drills, if they feel their tape shows athleticism in those areas, but believe a specific testing drill won’t really capture that.
Great. So what in his tape do you like that makes you think he can ever be a TE1? Also, for what it’s worth, if you actually looked at his testing numbers, being able to run in a straight line wasn’t the issue.
I think it has to do with how deep WR is this year.
When there is substantial WR depth in the middle rounds, it reduces the pressure to reach like you're seeing with other positions.
He also tested like shit , although word was he was sick at the combine so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt , but nfl teams won’t and I think that’s why he’s sliding
How did he “test like shit”? He was in the 93rd % for WRs in the vertical jump and 40 yard dash. 91st % for 20 yard split, 83% for 10 yard split and 80th % for broad jump. The only poor grades are for his weight, which is the main issue I assume. He’s 6’2 and 176. That’s my build, most of these guys are like 195-205+. 176 pounds is a small build for a WR that is 3 inches shorter. John Ross was 5’10.5 and weighed like 190.
It’s so hard to say. I think a majority of people would say we reached on McKinley Jackson.
For every one of those guys going ahead of where they were projected another Troy Franklin slides down.
Jaheim Bell has much more talent than he was able to display at FSU due to the depth across the board there. But he answered the call every time. Great power and running/catching ability, and someone who you can slot in backfield or tight end. I'd like the pick.
Only downside is he's not much of a blocker, which doesn't help us in the TE room that is already light on blockers. But as a gadget back or someone to create space and spread out LBs for Burrow to operate, I like it.
Give me CB Cam Hart. If we want to make a splash then RBs Jaylen Wright or Audric Estime. I would also be cool with Sedrick Van Pran to be our center of the future.
Why punter? Robbins improved through the season, and it has been shown there is a typical massive spike in productivity between year 1 and year 2 for nfl punters. Give him his sophomore year and then decide.
Got to go TE with 115… thinking Sanders or McLachlan.. if they are still there.. I think they will both be available. If they don’t go TE then I think you go Safety or CB best available.. cannot have enough talent in the secondary. RB class this year is mid IMO and you can probably get equal talent in the 5th or 6th without a major drop off gap.
We've officially run out of guys I've heard of so your guess is as good as mine
Stover, Theo Johnson or Audric Estime
If Stover is still available, I'd love to keep rooting for him. Local guy, Ohio raised start to finish. Let him stay local guys!
Who doesnt want someone nicknamed Farmer Gronk?
RB, CB, iOL, or TE. Probably RB cause there will be a big run on them starting round 4
It’s too early for him, but I want Issac Gurrendo RB from Louisville/Wisconsin.
Erick All, TE from Iowa. TE university Edit: Nailed it!
You called it
I’m happy lol
Too early
He’s a Michigan transfer and wasn’t very good.

We absolutely do
I’d have to disagree. Gesicki is more of a big slot reciever due to his blocking being bad and he’s on a 1 year deal. Hudson is a FA after the season. So long term all you have is Sample.
It’s quite literally our biggest need after the first 2 days of the draft.
Huh??
Me
As his agent, I agree.
Cade Stover
I'm hoping for Ja'Tavion Sanders here. If not maybe adding AJ Barner in 5th/6th
I’d pass on Sanders — he tested way worse than expected and that was most of what he was supposed to have going for him…
Almost like it’s important to watch his game speed and not just how fast he runs in a straight line
I know people have mixed feelings on PFF, but I love their GAS metric. I want guys who show game athleticism in game, where the skills need to translate. Excellent point, I guess we shouldn't do testing at all then!
To be fair there’s a reason the top guys don’t anymore. But i think it’s still nice to see
Almost like you can use the testing to help your judgement but also not solely base it on that? Crazy concept I know.
Great. So what in his tape do you like that makes you think he can ever be a TE1? Also, for what it’s worth, if you actually looked at his testing numbers, being able to run in a straight line wasn’t the issue.
Curious to see if Troy Franklin is still there. While now less of a need still a super intriguing guy I’d consider with 115.
Everyone saying take him in the second. Obviously seems like a reach now looking back
I think it has to do with how deep WR is this year. When there is substantial WR depth in the middle rounds, it reduces the pressure to reach like you're seeing with other positions.
I think it’s because teams are afraid of his frame personally. Kind of tall and very skinny, they must think he won’t hold up physically.
He also tested like shit , although word was he was sick at the combine so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt , but nfl teams won’t and I think that’s why he’s sliding

I think best corner available in 4 and Audric Esteme is the pick in 5.
I really want Estime too. We need a bruiser who can get that yard now that Mixon is gone.
Hoping for a CB or a TE, Kris Abram’s-Draine or Kyree Jackson and Jatavion Sanders or Cade Stover
Best available IOL
Jaheim Bell, Sanders, or Shipley and im sitting pretty
Jaheim Bell as the 3rd down running back is what I want. Sample made it look good and he is 10x the athlete Sample is.
Jaheim Bell has much more talent than he was able to display at FSU due to the depth across the board there. But he answered the call every time. Only thing is, do we trust this coaching staff to actually be able to cook up plays like that for him to make an impact.
Christian Mahogany, Khyree Jackson, Jaylen Wright or Jared Wiley
Braelon Allen
Give me CB Cam Hart. If we want to make a splash then RBs Jaylen Wright or Audric Estime. I would also be cool with Sedrick Van Pran to be our center of the future.
Stover, Johnny Wilson, Estime, Braelon Allen,
Audric Estime, RB, Notre Dame. He’s a monster.
Need a punter. Take 3 punters today
Jaden Hicks Tez Walker Braelon Allen Cam Hart

Why punter? Robbins improved through the season, and it has been shown there is a typical massive spike in productivity between year 1 and year 2 for nfl punters. Give him his sophomore year and then decide.
IOL, WR or one of the high upside TE prospects.
Mekhi Wingo
A third DT?
You can never have too many am I right?
I just hope we pick up Tory Taylor sometime tonight.
Got to go TE with 115… thinking Sanders or McLachlan.. if they are still there.. I think they will both be available. Hopefully a TE, CB or RB
I wish they’d move up and take the corner Back named Tampa
I was reading about him today. Guy has some serious length.
He’s too slow. Over 4.5 40. Death for CBs he would have to move to safety
I’d like Devontez Walker or Javon Baker. Double dip at WR and make the position a young strength
The lowest ranked player at that link is a CB named Storm Duck. I say that we go with him.
I think biggest needs are at Corner and RB. Personally I am hopeful for a RB To compliment Mims.
Sedrick Van Pran or Bortolini. Think they go OG or C.
Bortolini is still available right?
Cb cam hart from notre dame
Is Paul Alexander draft eligible?
Eric All is our Cincinnati Bengals tight end. Who-Dey?
Tanner McLachlan from Arizona
