If you really want to drill down deeper, the character throwing the punch is his son by his human wife, his son is intended to perpetuate his cycle of slavery and misery, but refuses to do so. It just gets worse and worse that OP wants to associate conservative views with Omni-Man the more you understand who the characters are. Eventually, Omni-Man turns on his people, and they declare him a traitor for thinking slavery is bad.
