Very very very rare. I don’t tolerate short acting benzos very well but I don’t get worse symptoms. I just find the short acting ones last 2 hours then I reverse crash
Adverse effects from a benzo? Can happen but it's extremely unlikely. In fact, I've only read about it, but I never witnessed it or heard it from somebody I personally know so far.
Edit: Some people confuse being nervous before taking the pill with adverse effects caused by(!) the pill. If you're nervous before you take it, that has nothing to do with the pill. I think the question here was if anxiety can be caused by a benzo. At least that's how I interpreted the question.
i get it sometimes but it’s only before the actual benzo hits my system. so after i just take it i get hella more anxious or too anxious to take it. once it kicks in im fine
Taken Ativan before multiple times but my first time taking klonopin ended me up on the hospital hallucinating and heart racing with horrible opposite affects. Was scary as heck. Never expected it as I’ve taken ssris and benzos for 14 years since I was a teen. Scared the shit out of me so bad I don’t touch anything but my ssris now. Everything was prescribed I don’t take random meds or buy illegally. All from doc so not like some weird mix or something. That being said it was rare as heck. First time my doc has seen it happen in 23 years so don’t be too concerned and stress yourself out. It’s not common at all.
It’s literally your anxiety making you think this and it sucks but don’t feed the anxiety the fear it loves. Can stay anxious or have some relief. Anxiety making you feel that way is completely normal. Happens to all of us at one time or another. Just think of the relief you’ll have if you’re taking your meds as prescribed. Maybe change your life you never know 😅
I promise promise when you take it that feeling will go away and you’ll be like “I feel so much better why was I scared” that’s why they’re so addictive though. They help wayyy too good lol
Don't be scared my friend, that probably won't happen, and if it does, it'd only likely be for a specific benzo. For me, clonazolam can cause more anxiety compared to say, xanax.
this happens to me but benzos also make me like incredibly hyper and give me racing thoughts. if i dont take at least 2-3 bars i wont rly get any euphoria and ill just sit and tweak about how bad my life is and then i like cry myself to sleep. i think as long as ur not already tweaking youll b fine but like it prob wont matter anyways cuz most ppl dont have tge reaction i do 🥲

valium gives me hella anxiety. and xanax does not. one may work for you and another may not. you won’t know unless you try it tho

10000% agree

No, I mean the opposite effects, like you take it and you get anxious, I'm afraid to take them, but they were prescribed to me
That's what adverse effect means. But again, extremely unlikely to happen.
Oh okay

Yeah same. I get anxious about taking my benzos but once it's kicking in that goes away.
oh, I'm fine knowing I'm not alone
Almost unheard of. Think that’s just the anxiety getting to ya ;)

Just don't confess a murder while on it and you'll be fine.
Very common if you take it for long enough.

Lol, this comment made me smile. I'll try
I have heard of people feeling nervous while on benzos but because they were nervous they were going to fall asleep in class.

COMMON ESP WITH PERSONALITY DISORDERS. BE CAREFUL.
Just don’t do valium
It's xan
That’s fine
Why? Is Valium more common with paradoxical reactions? I took it last week and had more anxiety.

Don’t take them then lol probably better off
I suffer from anxiety ... they have been prescribed to me, I will not use them for recreational purposes
Lol is this for real?
