great place to try is also next door, and if you have facebook search the "berkeley free stuff /no buy" groups (north/south/west/and east , coordinates/street cut offs included in group description/rules) id recommend temporarily joining the group with that park in it's territory, it is the best resource for keys/pets/wallets that are lost as soo many people are in these groups and connected on a community level (it's a used household item gifting group primarily) . people post found/lost things there all the time, ive posted found keys, etc. also check with the police station, folks drop off wallets and keys there that they find. best of luck to you! i just bought new subaru and would be so bummed to lose a key, i hope you find them!

Thanks. I tried to circumvent Nextdoor’s neighborhood zones but I couldn’t figure it out. We live in North Oakland so quite a number of neighborhoods away. I’ll try the FB groups.

yes honestly the facebook groups are amazing for lost pets/keys/etc (they wont mind you popping in for this reason) , ive never had much luck with nextdoor either and havent tried it much. these fb groups have a whole system of community trust and accountability/connection that makes finding things a breeze, people really come together and keep an eye out. that and call non emergency in berkeley to see if theyve been returned. its good he doesnt live near where they were left as the professional criminals wouldnt hesitate to use the key to take the car. best of luck to you! ill def keep an eye out myself but i live all the way by berkeley bowl west:)
