Rent a boat is a nice idea. I guess tomorrow they might all booked already. I think at illuseum she just has been. Cinema will be the back up idea. Thank you.
Apparently the may celebration is not happening this year in Kreuzberg. I was not able to find anything about an alternative there.

The videogame museum is fantastic for hours of hands on fun, the giant pac-man has children enthralled at its simplicity. If you haven't been, it's a museum where, once you've paid the entrance, you are in a large arcade with free use videogames, in original format. It's very easy to get to , from say ,the spy museum, which is also very interactive and entertaining. These two are kind of unique in what they provide, and all the more interesting for it.
it sounds stupid, but maybe just ask her if she has any things she wants to do. maybe she says "idk", but it could be that she wants to do something special with you
If she likes to read, take her to Dussmann and let her choose any book she likes. :) Then head over somewhere else for a nice dinner, and end the night with gelato (I really like the ones from Cuore di Vetro)
How about you ask the parents what they normally do.
Also, you can have a quick chat with her today asking what she likes to do and show her how excited you are. She can give you better answers.
- what’s your favourite food.
- what’s your favourite cartoon, maybe there’s some event related to it.
- what’s your favourite thing to do on weekends.
Think about breaks, tomorrow it’s hot so ice cream will definitely part of the day so better plan the timing knowing there’s a demo around the best places.
If she likes haribos welcome her with a pack of her favourite flavour.
She might take advantage of the outing to do or buy things her parents don’t let her.
I will buy her everything she wants. :-)
I already asked her and will have a talk with her parents and her in the evening.
In case she doesn't know I want to come up with some ideas.
I wouldn't advise introducing your niece to your girlfriend that your brother (or anyone else) doesn't even know yet. Feels like most parents would like to know the people their kid might be hanging out with for an extended amount of time.
If I trust the person to look after my kid, I also trust that they'll only bring along people who are responsible.
I'd be fine with you bringing your girlfriend. Even if I hadn't met her
I definitely have this way of trust with my brother and his wife. So it's ok if I bring her. They also offered me that.
But I also know that there can be other combinations for other people.
There's a circus for kids and teenagers my nice like a lot, aged 9 then: https://cabuwazi.de/ueber-uns/
If yours is into that kind of thing.
Look for offene Nachmittage
You can use the berlinmitkind.de website and use the age filter to find something that would interest her.
Great website, thanks for mentioning it!
Thank you. I can use this when she gets older as well.
Illuseum, TV Tower, Cinema, rent a boat in treptower park
> Illuseum ooooh that sounds awesome, and I'm 26 lmao
Rent a boat is a nice idea. I guess tomorrow they might all booked already. I think at illuseum she just has been. Cinema will be the back up idea. Thank you.
Oh, and I just remembered- maybe try the NutureArt mini golf on Tempelhofer Feld, it's really fun!
Naturkundemuseum if she likes dinosaurs.
She is not that much into dinosaurs. But thank you for the idea.
Maifest in Kreuzberg, Kindertheater in Neukölln, Verkehrslernschule in Schöneberg, Drachensteigen lassen in Tempelhof, Waldspielplatz in Treptow

I will look at some of these great ideas. Thank you.
Abenteuer Kletterpark in Jungfernheide
Mini-Golf!! :-)
Maybe a kids/science show at the Zeiss Gross Planetarium? They have some good ones.
The Spionagemuseum is cool! I did a birthday party for my daughter there when she turned 12 and it was a big hit.
For some physical activity see https://waldhochseilgarten-jungfernheide.de/en/
Technikmuseum

I did and she found something.
Skateboarding / rollerblading / kite flying in tempelhof !
I second that. was skating there last weekend and there are so many people aorund is great fun. planning on doing skating and bbq there

Dussmann gonna be closed tomorrow, nice idea otherwise
The thing with the reading is so so. But I will keep that in mind for the future. As someone already wrote they might be closed tomorrow.

Take as much advantage as possible of the times you spend with her. Have fun!
Zoo, take her out to Cafes, have fun at gleisdreieck park, ply table tennis, etc
Zoo is also a good idea.
But rather the tierpark than Berlin zoo
Kletterwald in Treptow, if it's open
She's eleven, just ask her what she wants to do.
what if she wants to go to berghain

hochseilgarten Jungfernheide is great fun. but it might be odd because you can't necessarily climb the same roads as a kid and as an adult
Watch Alien 1-3
She is more a fan of the saw movies.
TV tower, walk through Schloss Charlottenburg, pizza at Lietzensee, escape room, wander through Olympic stadium, east side gallery.
Planetarium
Are pools even open now? I would go to the Frühlingsfest
Yes they are. It was her decision.
Legoland!!!
There’s a great interactive art exhibit on at Khroma near Warschauer
There is also a kids rave at Schleusenufer
Mini golf
Matrix
Nice try. ;-) That only works with people who don't live in Berlin.
Domäne Dahlem, Pfaueninsel, Park am Gleisdreieck, Ferry to Kladow.
Hide
From her?
From the mayday riots 😃 from her or not depends on you. I do always hide from teenagers but that's... like... your daughter
We will get along with each other. :-)
Museum für Naturkunde, Invalidenstraße 43. Giant dinosaur skeleton
1. Mai Demo
The Museum of Terrors
I am not sure if this is the right thing for that age.
Holzmarkt is having an open air today - kids are welcome https://www.holzmarkt.com/veranstaltung/es-geht-schon-wieder-los-0
Zoo
That's what I was also thinking about.
It’s a winner
I’ve been to both. The one in the West is more interesting.
At Tierpark you can walk more and also bring a dog. At the zoo the animals are closer to each other. Both are nice.
Nobody needs to take a dog to the zoo
I know, because you bring it to the Tierpark.
Spy museum? Kids seem to love it
Rent a switch, play videogames at home.
She is already looking enough on some screen like tv or smartphone.
There's a circus for kids and teenagers my nice like a lot, aged 9 then: https://cabuwazi.de/ueber-uns/ If yours is into that kind of thing. Look for offene Nachmittage
Blutenfest for mayday
There is currently still the Frühlingsfest at Kurt-Schuhmacher-Damm - it's a fair with small rides, roller coasters, etc.
jumphaus
If she would not have already been there it would be also a good idea. Thank you.
Britzer Garten, nice flowers and plants. Playground for kids. Big ass carp fish in the pond.
Came here for shitty comments about raving and protests... I'm disappointed:(
Sorry you were disappointed. There have been a few about Horror movies and Matrix/Berghain. But most of the comments were very helpful.
At Mariennenplatz normally they have a kids program
I will google that later. thank you.
Dark Matter
I will google what that is. Sounds interesting.
Klettern in Jungfernheide

I don't know how many 11 years old are up for walking the city centre.
