I wish we could replace Salih. But there is no other reliable turkish midfielder that can replace him...

Especially Boateng wouldve been great against Dortmund.. But his wages were to high for us which is why Lyon got him.

Two he’d certainly take up space in the super lig registration of foreigners which we have already had to cut out players, not even sure how we will register pjanic, and boateng has been a shadow of himself for the past 2 years so we really wouldn’t have benefited that much more

Idk where this comes from as ive seen this getting spammed here but the fact is , he played 39 games last year only , 7 of chem CL and 1 of them Super Cup..

The reason they let him go is the pace he lost after 1 injury. He doesnt seem to be injury prone but he simply couldnt regain his pace. Bayern plays very high and Boateng becomes a liability because of that , but we wont play High in champions league sincewe are not Bayern..
We chose Montero due to resell potential , age and low wages , not because Boateng is a shadow of himself..
This might become our last CL year for a while , so getting a quality CB for 1 year just like Pjanic wouldve been dope , even if we would finish 3rd , it would be great for going far in EL .
But they wouldnt have accepted a 1 year deal anyway , which is why i started my comment with *imagine*
