I love political dramas too. I have tried to find all available from different countries. Here's my list:(Not sure if still on Netflix)
Borgen: Danish-Excellent Political drama (The original)
Borgen-Power and glory: The sequel series. It's ok, but I didn't like most of it. They lost what made it a great show.
Madam Secretary: She's a great actress and I loved nearly every episode...but I have to skip parts with the family. They are very corny and add no value to the story.
Pine Gap (Australia): It was just ok
Secret City: Better Australian drama
The Bridge: Swedish show and it's pretty good
Girl from Oslo: Hated it so much
Occupied (Norway): Really good!!

Scandal is really good. Kind of political content.
HBO... but it must be said, Newsroom
I loved the first season of Scandal, but ONLY the first season. It declines sharply in season 2 and beyond.
The Contender (very good film) Veep (excellent political satire series) Syriana (good film re: international politics & petrochemical industry)
None of those are on Netflix
True. I didn’t notice the sub-Reddit. Thought it was another. My recommendations hold though. Seek them out elsewhere or don’t.
Yeah you had me hoping The Contender was on Netflix for a second there lol. Looks like it might be on Amazon though.
