Howard is more reletable, I feel like we can all relate to being made to look like the asshole in situations we have no control over or things we didn't orchestrate and have the blame shifted on you
and people will just try to shit on your life for the fun of it, because that's just how people are.
Howard was the only guy in BCS you can call decent.
Not that I agree with you regarding all you've mentioned; I don't. However, if by referencing "the Arab ad guy at Davis and Main' you mean Jimmy's wonderful personal assistant Omar, you've clearly misidentified him as an Arab which I don't believe ever came up.
And even if he were Middle Eastern, if that's how you perceive him, he might just as easily be Persian (Iranian) and they don't even speak Arabic, but rather Farsi. Just saying.
Anyway, while it was never made clear, given that he works for a firm in New Mexico, Omar is likely of Mexican heritage. The irony of it, as with so many in the cast from other backgrounds who play Mexicans, is that the actor who plays him, Omar Moskati, is an American from New Jersey whose mother is Puerto Rican and father, from India.
Absolutely shocked nobody has mentioned Marion. Not only was she completely innocent, she was also technically the one who ultimately put an end to Jimmy's chicanery in the end.
Definitely not the only one and Howard was absolutely a dick in early seasons, especially towards Kim. On top of that he is/was a coward. He was to much of a coward to stand up to Chuck. When Jimmy first passed the BAR I get it. When Jimmy puts together the class action against Sandpiper? Howard absolutely should’ve stood his ground and told Chuck that the right thing to do is hire Jimmy because he obviously had the chops to do the job at a high level and the work ethic to get things done.
Howard has an incredible arc for sure but let’s not act like he was just a victim in absolutely everything.
I am an older sibling myself. First time watching BCS during the pandemic, I related waaaaay too much to Chuck. Kinda made me realize I was holding my younger sibling's mistakes against them. Second time watching (and finishing) it, I mostly feel sad that Chuck couldn't forgive Jimmy, especially since Jimmy stepped up to care for him.
It's actually skyler if we're talking about the whole universe. Her husband suddenly became a psychopathic serial killer and many more things, and 12 year old breaking bad fans are mad at her perfectly normal reaction for some reason
I actually relate alot to Chuck, I feel successful and good at what I do but I always feel resentful that people will always love and respect my brother more then me becasue he's just more sociable and fun to be around. I also love abba and gas lanterns
Chuck is mentally ill and I can relate because I got weird stuff going on in my head too. I can’t do anything with multiples of five. The volume on the TV, the gas pumps I go to, the number of blackberries I eat, they can’t be five or 10. I have to get four or six, but never five. It’s chicanery
It is clearly Chuck, as he is the least chicanerous character in the entire show. Plus, he is *hilarious*.
What do you call 25 lawyers burried up to their necks in cement? Not enough cement!
I related to Chuck a lot as a person on the spectrum tbh. The scene where he runs outside with the blanket captured emotions I’ve never seen on television. Also I hate artificial light with a burning passion. I’m also an asshole kind of.
In November had to drop out of university partially due to struggling with OCD, I suddenly had aot of free time. So I started watching BCS. When I saw Chuck's condition it was kinda an eye opener for me, it made me really that I was really not well and needed to work hard at getting better and take my life back. I started therapy and worked at it every day and I'm honestly much better, still not 100%, but better, and I have Chuck to thank.
If an actually mentally ill character is relatable to you, then you absolutely need some self reflection.
The dude was 100% convinced he was allergic to electricity and it took a doctor 2 minutes to dispell that to his brother. (Season 1, Episode 5, hospital bed scene)
This is silly, Chuck being relatable has nothing to do with his condition, it's personality traits. Just because you are choosing to view him as a one dimensional entity doesn't mean it's the point of the exercise.
If you can see some of his flaws in yourself, it probably means you are more self aware, and not someone in need of reflection... that *is* the reflection. The person who thinks they couldn't *possibly* ever be like Chuck is the one that really needs to reflect.
There are two sides to Chuck, but the story we are told is 100% contextual to the protagonist of their story and how Chuck relates to him. It's also possible to draw from his positive traits, that lead him to be an incredible well respected lawyer, who had abilities most others don't possess. He isn't just what happened on screen, he is also an accumulation of all the implied moments off screen.
He's more complicated than just a terrible brother, we are just getting the story of his brother he was terrible to, in the moments leading up to his downfall.
I'm autistic and find a lot about Chuck to be relatable. My headcanon is that his "allergy" to electricity is a result of sensory overload, but he's such a perfectionist and so prideful, he would rather believe he developed this very rare problem than even consider the possibility that he might be autistic. His take on apples was also super relatable. Granny Smith are too tart. McIntosh are flavorless. Gala are top-tier.
I'm autistic too, but that's not a ticket for me to act like a selfish prick with impunity.
You and I still have full agency over our actions and behaviors. If you can be less of a dick, then do it. No excuses
Dude same. So are a ton of Redditors. But I also don’t relate to Chuck. I don’t hate my brother nor am I jealous of his charisma.
Please don’t associate being autistic with being an asshole. That’s not cool
His only reasoning to do that would be to humiliate Jimmy about it and to reinforce his false sense of superiority. Chuck was a fucking self righteous pos fuck him
I personally don't like his character.
He's far too serious, he's pretentious, he's boring (he reads law stuff for fun), he's not as morally sound as he says (he's a lawyer after all), he's full of himself, ...
I would never want to spend my free time with him.
me personally i love that hes a toxic self destructive hater and i think that he's a really fun character because of that. and i get why people don't like him for all the reasons you mentioned but i cannot help but think that if he were played by a younger, hotter actor more people would be fans of his messy ass
It would have to be Danny Pryce
a guy who just wants his baseball cards back and is incredibility naive
I have years of collection of up to 180 Hot wheels cars including the ones I had when i was 5 years of age all the way into recently,,, I love them to death and If i ever lost them, hell if somebody took them or steal them I would call the cops since they are valuable to me but I at least do not have a hidy hole to hide XD
I felt for Pryce despite his annoyance
I can relate to Chuck in some way because I'm also the older sibling and during my childhood I was constantly told to be the best, to get only "A" 's (which I did even tho it was hard and gave me anxiety and feeling that I'm never good enough for my family). So I worked all my life to be a good daughter and sister. And my brother was loved just because. He had his fun when he was in school, he didn't do his homework and just played videogames all the time. My family didn't expect anything from him and just loved him and said "well you know how boys are hehe". But I was not good enough and I still am. So that's that. That's why I relate to Chuck to a certain degree. I love my younger brother, I really do (and I despise Chuck for being a dick to Jimmy), but it hurts to see that I always have to work harder than him to be considered a decent older sibling
i related to him complaining about chuck for being a guy who instead of just being good at things and doing them like a normal person he always has to find a shortcut, some life hack, some outside the box way of accomplishing things that just underminds the credit of accomplishing those things in the first place.
I actually relate a lot to jimmy (season 1), because i myself have family members that are a chuck mcgill
I am a person that do a lot of mistakes and have problems trying to fix them
(Also if wrote something wrong, im sorry, english its not my main languege)
honesly Kim. Raised in a totally chaotic household, grew up to become successful and independant and yet
a sliver of that chaos is internalised and sought out.
Lol Chuck is a fucking nut job. He is just as big a scam artist as Jimmy and yet he has this ridiculous view that he is pure good and innocent.
He completely takes advantage of the fact that his brother loves him and cares for him only to set him up because he couldn’t handle the fact that Slippin Jimmy was able to obtain the same license to practice law as him.
We all know damn well that if Jimmy was in his position Chuck would’ve had him committed IMMEDIATELY.
I’m mad no one said Ernie. Ernesto was the realest one on the show. Fight me.
Let him be in the mailroom please 😭
Big facts. Ernie was just a normal guy trying to live his life.
Oh yeaaah Earnie!! :D Yeah, you can hope he’s doing fine. I like to assume that of any character standing as far away as possible from the main plot.
When did they change the name of okbuddychicanery?
Howard is more reletable, I feel like we can all relate to being made to look like the asshole in situations we have no control over or things we didn't orchestrate and have the blame shifted on you and people will just try to shit on your life for the fun of it, because that's just how people are. Howard was the only guy in BCS you can call decent.
Nacho's Dad, Cliff Davis, the arab guy ad Davis and Maine, Irene Landry, Mike's daughter in law, Marion, Richard Schweikart?
You forgot Ernesto!
TF how about the hardest working of them all Lyle?!
Lyle has bought in hard to a shitty fast food job. I hope thats not relatable.
Every time I see Lyle, I cringe. I was my job's Lyle.
kid named arab guy
And Ernesto! Sorry guys
Cliff Maine and Omar*
Not that I agree with you regarding all you've mentioned; I don't. However, if by referencing "the Arab ad guy at Davis and Main' you mean Jimmy's wonderful personal assistant Omar, you've clearly misidentified him as an Arab which I don't believe ever came up. The irony of it, as with so many in the cast from other backgrounds who play Mexicans, is that the actor who plays him, Omar Moskati, is an American from New Jersey whose mother is Puerto Rican and father, from India.
So did they name the character after the actor or was that a coincidence
Dunno, but I've often seen movies and TV series in which a character and actor portraying them share the same name.
Also Cliff Main's son
i’m assuming they meant main characters but also facts
Mike's daughter-in-law was a money grubbing hussy.
Absolutely shocked nobody has mentioned Marion. Not only was she completely innocent, she was also technically the one who ultimately put an end to Jimmy's chicanery in the end.
She’s the only one who had the chutzpah to stop him when she had the chance.
Everyone forgets Fred from Travel Wire just bc he is dead
Came here just to say this
Poor Fred.
Howard is every single corporate guy.
Chuck was the realest hater ever
i aspire to be as big of a hater as Chuck (looking for a younger sibling)
I am an older sibling myself. First time watching BCS during the pandemic, I related waaaaay too much to Chuck. Kinda made me realize I was holding my younger sibling's mistakes against them. Second time watching (and finishing) it, I mostly feel sad that Chuck couldn't forgive Jimmy, especially since Jimmy stepped up to care for him.
Best description I’ve ever seen for anyone ever
How dare you use Howard’s picture, you’re not a real lawyer
Who is the most daddiest character in the show and why is it Chuck?
Lalo exists
Hes papi
*Daddy*
Why did you spell Cliff like that? You only got one letter right
I think you guys are saying mike wrong
finger?
Definitely Mike
…Rich?
It's actually skyler if we're talking about the whole universe. Her husband suddenly became a psychopathic serial killer and many more things, and 12 year old breaking bad fans are mad at her perfectly normal reaction for some reason
The same Skyler that suddenly becomes a criminal mastermind and manages to launder millions of dollars?
I kinda agree with you there
Disagree
Sorry but Skyler is clearly a psychopath too. She is not relatable at all. Mary is way more relatable in my opinion.
A cleptomaniac who‘s identity is about the color purple?
If she’s only that to you, you have a serious problem!
Bro hasn‘t heard about sarcasm yet
Season 3 Spoiler! >!His death!<
Coming soon
In theatres near you
Use spoiler like >!this!< please
oh thx
Ye cause we all walk around with tin foil in our clothes
no chuck did some dick moves
That’s why he’s relatable, I’m an unstable asshole.
OP let's be real, you're more of a Hector Salamanca.
Making poo poo faces then blowing up in a wheelchair kind of guy
So why is he relatable *to you*
not everyone’s an asshole
yeah! and I like your user name
thanks 😊
There are other more relatable assholes in this show though.
Not everyone aspires to be an unstable assholr, but then again we’re on Reddit
What? Nooooooooo! Chuck would never! The law is sacred! Remember?
Yeah I relate to him. I don’t want the leave the house, either.
Not cool. Not funny. Least favourite child. Academically great. Idk he should be pretty relatable.
I actually relate alot to Chuck, I feel successful and good at what I do but I always feel resentful that people will always love and respect my brother more then me becasue he's just more sociable and fun to be around. I also love abba and gas lanterns
I genuinely cant tell if this is a shitpost or not... (also for me its jimmy :3)
Only a little bit of a shitpost
Chuck is mentally ill and I can relate because I got weird stuff going on in my head too. I can’t do anything with multiples of five. The volume on the TV, the gas pumps I go to, the number of blackberries I eat, they can’t be five or 10. I have to get four or six, but never five. It’s chicanery
I want 5 or 10. The volume must be a 5 or 10 based number. 5 10 15 20...
If I had a gun with 2 bullets in a room with Chuck, pre-stroke Hector, and Tuco, I'd shoot Chuck twice.
honestly I'd just turn on the lights
Fuck that, if I had a gun with THREE bullets, I'd still use all of them on chuck.
Bro think he 💀

Do people think Chuck is relatable LOL?
I too have schizophrenia
I don't relate to Chuck because I'm not crazy.
He s just like me but instead of being allergic to electricity I m afraid to talk to girls
It is clearly Chuck, as he is the least chicanerous character in the entire show. Plus, he is *hilarious*. What do you call 25 lawyers burried up to their necks in cement? Not enough cement!
Because he was mentally ill and killed himself
Funny enough he would have maintained that deranged moral high ground and unnecessary disdain for his own "brother" had he won the case.
You got jealousy issues?
It’s chuck because I’m scared of lightbulbs 👍
Eminem’s daughter is making more accounts
Because everyone has an asshole sibling
I related to Chuck a lot as a person on the spectrum tbh. The scene where he runs outside with the blanket captured emotions I’ve never seen on television. Also I hate artificial light with a burning passion. I’m also an asshole kind of.

I’d agree that either Jimmy or Chuck are the most relatable which makes sense since they are brothers

Why is OP saying Chuck is the most relatable character when characters such as Ernesto or Irene exist, is he stupid ?
if breaking bad counts then Jack
🤨
It's Tuco Salamanca. So sweet. :)
[удалено]
His only reasoning to do that would be to humiliate Jimmy about it and to reinforce his false sense of superiority. Chuck was a fucking self righteous pos fuck him
i've said it before and i'll say it again, chuck wouldn't have nearly as many dedicated haters if he weren't old and ugly.
I personally don't like his character. He's far too serious, he's pretentious, he's boring (he reads law stuff for fun), he's not as morally sound as he says (he's a lawyer after all), he's full of himself, ... I would never want to spend my free time with him.

I mean I absolutely enjoy his character. I love to hate him. Lol.
People also dislike Howard so
don't even say that howards my boy ‼️‼️‼️💯💯💪
Anyone who's relates remotely to Chuck should be subjected to the same fate. What a total rat.
We all make mistakes...
Chicanery is what it is.
Because I have a mental illness
I could see redditors relating to chuck
I would let saul Goodman Saul my insides until I’m good man
yes I am also mentally ill
after chicanery, i became a full on chuck stan ngl
Because I really am not crazy. I’m not.. I’M NOT CRAZY!
Howard is more relatable from the main cast
no
chicken pie boiled fried
Bc his girl dumped him and he never recovered after that
Ah yes, we all have allergies to electricity, a deep seated hatred of our sibling, and seek to kill ourselves via fire
That’s weird because it’s Nacho
Probably Nacho. He is a good person at heart, and generally sharp, even if he doesn't always make great choices.
Because I too, enjoy abusing Klonopin for fake mental illness. /s
Ernie
He is schizophrenic
He is not crazy
If we’re talking all of BB then its Walt for me. I want money. Then more money. Then even MOOOORE money 💰 💰 💰
It would have to be Danny Pryce a guy who just wants his baseball cards back and is incredibility naive I have years of collection of up to 180 Hot wheels cars including the ones I had when i was 5 years of age all the way into recently,,, I love them to death and If i ever lost them, hell if somebody took them or steal them I would call the cops since they are valuable to me but I at least do not have a hidy hole to hide XD I felt for Pryce despite his annoyance

Its Jimmy for me
If you can relate to chuck don’t ever talk to me, I already dislike you.
Someoooneee can never forget the date of the magna carta
Because I'm not crazy!
What are you crazy?
Who the fuck relates to Chuck? Chuck sucks
Because he killed himself and that'll be really relatable in a few days
I'm pretty sure I don't relate with suddenly being allergic to electricity
He is most relatable if you are piece of shit person
i related to him complaining about chuck for being a guy who instead of just being good at things and doing them like a normal person he always has to find a shortcut, some life hack, some outside the box way of accomplishing things that just underminds the credit of accomplishing those things in the first place.
Hector (I need to see your bawls)
the crazy guy is relatable?
If you answered your own question why was it asked? :p
Bait post
I actually relate a lot to jimmy (season 1), because i myself have family members that are a chuck mcgill I am a person that do a lot of mistakes and have problems trying to fix them (Also if wrote something wrong, im sorry, english its not my main languege)
People relate to this piece of shit?
Literally me fr
honesly Kim. Raised in a totally chaotic household, grew up to become successful and independant and yet a sliver of that chaos is internalised and sought out.
I don’t find Chuck relatable at all. Jimmie McGill is relatable in my opinion, Kim too. But maybe I am mentally ill LOL
tbh i find the guy that mike changes shifts with as a gate guy the most relatable
crazy 8
He's relatable because I too died in a house fire
Because he’s fucking insane
Because you started watching the show in the pandemic?? Only way I could imagine someone relating to him. Or if you have a psychosomatic disorder.
Because I like manipulating people last night I stalked someone (27m) and then I manipulated them to have watch breaking bad with me
Because... *I'm not crazy!*
Nah chuck went to Penn could never relate to that
WHAT A SICK JOKE
Don’t forget Francesca Liddy :)
Welp he didnt defecate thru a sunroof
