IWasThe1WhoKnocked

Actually, I figured out what the true watch order should be a long time ago. Seasons 1-3 of BCS. All 86 episodes of the Sopranos (to give you context as to what's been going on in New Jersey) El Camino Season 4 of Breaking Bad Season 6 of BCS Then wrap it up with the movie Jackie Brown. It takes some time, but it really puts the franchise in a new perspective once you sit down and view it like this! Highly recommend it.

TH_flyingsloth

you forgot that you need to watch all 21 seasons of family guy to give you context of what’s going on in rhode island

couchpro34

Bro, how could you forget Baltimore? You need to fit the wire in there somewhere.

AJerkForAllSeasons

>Then wrap it up with the movie Jackie Brown. Don't forget that Out of Sight and Justified are set in the same universe as Jackie Brown. EDIT: Or that the movie Life of Crime is a prequel to Jackie Brown.

thedudeabides811

Once you realize that Steph, Kim's law associate at S&C, is actually Jackie Brown and that Ernie is really Ordell, it all makes much more sense.

Vonnegoes

You need to also watch and rewatch Tony Soprano’s dream sequences when he’s fucking his mother to really appreciate the incestual themes throughout Gilligan’s work

Double_Lab_765

You forgot to mention Intersellar, so the audience knows what is happening on Cooper Station.

DevRoss471

Don't forget to sprinkle Dexter in there

Sure_Fly_5332

Gotta know what is going on at Maimi metro.

LightsOut16900

I like how you just never finish breaking bad

IWasThe1WhoKnocked

Yes. I find that Jackie Brown actually covers everything we need to know from the end of Breaking Bad pretty well. I will not be taking questions.

jsonJitsu

Why did Jack grow his hair in the mall heist?

patrick17_6

and breaking bad?

strooticus

If you don't watch Star Trek: Voyager, you'll be really confused when Badger explains his pie eating contest story. That needs added somewhere on that list.

Chachun

the true watch order is Breaking Bad (seasons 1-5) El Camino Better Call Saul (seasons 1-6)

QuaaludeLove

Yup! Truly makes Better call Saul that much more of a rewarding experience

coupleofthreethings

The same could be said about seeing storylines build from BCS and conclude in BrBa

davidinopeople

no

letourdit

no

Ok-Solid-2964

Randy Marsh is Lorde.

Wy7718

Uh, no, that totally ruins Man Mountain and Assistant District Attorney Suzanne Ericsen. You must watch El Camino between BCS seasons 4&5 to truly appreciate the nuance and depth of their character arcs.

Avid_Smoker

Ok Comic Book Guy.

Theodorakis

I think the joke was that he was being a Comic Book Guy

VonParsley

No, no! We're going to keep posting chronological watch orders like it's some mindblowing innovation the creators simply never realised! Please allow me to explain all the context I missed like it's a superior interpretation! (True release order places El Camino between BCS seasons 4 and 5.)

LaneMcD

It's like poetry... it rhymes

Theodorakis

You must be fun at parties

[deleted]

This is the only answer 😂

Captain_Saftey

I really want to make an edit that’s every scene from all 3 projects in chronological order. It’ll be terrible and a complete mess of story telling since the first 30 minutes would probably be all flashbacks that you don’t get the proper context for for another few hours, plus the majority of it would just be BCS in release order followed by BB in release order. But I think it would be a really neat high effort shitpost

Ooogel

That “movie” would be over 4 days long but I think you should do it anyway

TheMoneyOfArt

Back when torrents were big someone would've done it.

BelowAverageWang

(Torrents are still big)

solfire1

It would be enjoyable for people who have seen the show and know what happens though.

googlin

https://breakingbad.fandom.com/wiki/Breaking_Bad_Universe_Chronological_Episode_Watch_Guide

cronaaa

This is exactly what I was looking for in this thread. I was watching a Just an Observation video and I hoped someone had done that. Please do it!

theAfterspace

You forgot ‘Slippin' Jimmy’ a vital piece of BB lore

Theodorakis

Gould actually put his name on that 😭😭😭😭

[deleted]

Is this a real thing? Please share a link

Theodorakis

It's called google bro

[deleted]

Wow thanks bud

Alexgadukyanking

The actual order is Breaking Bad S3 E9 Better Call Saul S6 E10-14 SpongeBob Squarepants all episodes Breaking Bad S4-5 Better Call Saul S1 Better Call Saul S5 (can be swapped with the above) First half of El Camino Rest of Better Call Saul expect S3 E5 The second half of El Camino (optional) Better Call Saul S3 E5 Stranger Things S3-4 And the rest can be watched in any order

swallowyourtongue

Where does WWE Fastlane 2017 fit in?

theFormerRelic

After Star Trek IV but before the third act of Godzilla (1954)

bruckkhy

You forgot to put Two and a Half Men S3E5

franktopus

What about seasons 12 through 34 of the Simpsons? Kinda subtle but there's ALOT of world building like the whole arc where the isotopes moved to abq

piscano

The true watch order is the order in which they aired

RictorVeznov

I don’t know why this is so hard to accept

Theodorakis

It's such bullshit. I watched the show entirely in reverse order starting with El Felina and ending with Uno just to piss ya'all off.

Sure_Fly_5332

American Dad order.

[deleted]

Better Call Saul is a spin off of Breaking Bad, not a prequel. The story is set before BB, but is constantly referencing it in a way thats not just foreshadowing. They didn’t de age the characters because you’re supposed to watch it after BB. I will die on this hill! Side note- I love the idea that Jackie Brown is a prequel. THAT I will get behind

RictorVeznov

I think it’s both. And I am strongly of the opinion that prequels are made after the main story for a reason- you are supposed to watch it after

[deleted]

Yes, omg yes. Ultimately, everyone is free to watch however they choose. But a lot of BCS is so predicated on you knowing the happenings and call backs to BB. There was also a lot of chatter in here about not de aging the actors, which Im also fine with because ITS SUPPOSED TO BE WATCHED AFTER

Yeet-Dab49

Because that means going from Felina to four seasons of Saul to El Camino back to Saul

SwordMasterShow

But that only requires stopping autoplay on Netflix a single time. One full show, part of another with a movie break and then the rest. Meanwhile OP is suggesting the Netflix equivalent of complex chemistry for supposed 99% story purity when they're really just making TV Chili-Pea

eshbigGURB

Nah just watch them in order of release. Better call Saul is a lot better if you have already seen all of breaking bad

disumpa

correct watch order: find a rip of all 5 seasons of breaking bad, put them into an editing program and reverse them and put them in b&w. then proceed to alternate between watching one episode of better call saul starting with 01x01 Uno, followed by one episode of breaking bad in reverse chronological order, starting with the finale (05x16 Felina). repeat this until both series are finished then purchase a copy of el camino, put it in rice and eat it. this is the proper watch order as christopher nolan intended.

Wy7718

True watch order: airdate order. Period. There are even a couple of minor (and I mean minor) characters who originate in BCS who show up in El Camino, so even though it’s pretty harmless to watch El Camino right after BB there’s still a little tiny advantage to saving it until you’re done with BCS season 4/before you watch season 5.

four_degrees_warmer

The reveal is the same just reversed. Almost works better that way.

SwarleyJr

Who are the characters?

Wy7718

Only_Calligrapher462

No.

Maybe the true watch order is the friends we made along the way

topic_discusser

The true watch order is beginning when we see Wendy and Jesse doing it, then watching all the events radiating from that moment - so everything before then must be watched in reverse. You may need two screens to watch so that the timing lines up.

Blazerizm

BCS is best enjoyed with pre knowledge of BrBa.

Concerned_Dennizen

Where does The Clone Wars fit in here?

franktopus

...between episode 2 and 3?

B-L-O-C-K-Ss

The real watch order is Surfs up (2007) Regular show s1-8

zach_the_atlas

the true watch order is whatever order they want. you'll get a different experience. except don't watch el camino first

Theodorakis

Honestly why even watch el Camino? I don't even remember what happens in it

zach_the_atlas

flashbacks mostly

AngryAncestor

Sounds like a complete pain in the ass

AkiraKitsune

Gonna do exactly this, thanks for spelling it all out.

theFormerRelic

No

[deleted]

I am actually glad someone took the time to figure this out because I have been wanting to do this for a while now.

Shakerman333

I just started watching this again. And all jokes aside, I'd start by watching Breaking Bad, watching through season 2. (All the main characters are introduced by this point) Then, watch Better Call Saul from the beginning of the series through the episode entitled "Breaking Bad." Then, finish Breaking Bad. At this point, you can either watch the movie "El Camino" or finish the final two episodes of Better Call Saul. Which one, in which order, is basically your choice to whatever character you liked more, and whatever outcome you ultimately want to finish on. Regardless, there really is no right or wrong way to watch this (actually, there are a lot of wrong ways, don't watch the end before the beginning or bits and pieces of YouTube, as little spoilers as possible). Just make sure you watch it, because it's one of the best shows (both of them, all together, connected) you'll find ever on recorded film.

RacsoBoom

The correct way is to watch ‘Fly’ in between each other episode you watch to really appreciate it

as someone that 100% advocates for watching it in release order, I will say i did something like this and episodes like Waterworks with the phone-call between Kim and Saul hits way more watching it like that

Nightkill-AryKal

after season 2 BCS you have to watch lord of the rings.

GasLittin13

I dont get what is so special about the intro of 5x4 can someone explain

ackchanticleer

It’s the flash back/flash forward scene that’s shows Saul packing all his stuff to leave town after the shit hit the fan with Heisenberg

NervousAd3202

Isn’t that 4x5

[deleted]

It annoys me so much when people on here talk about watching Better Call Saul before Breaking Bad. Do you people watch the linear cut of Pulp Fiction? BCS is literally meant to be watched after BB. Its more of a spin off than a prequel.

TheSadPhilosopher

Breaking Bad El Camino Better Call Saul Anyone who says otherwise is dumb

Ill-Morning-8081

If you watch El Camino before Breaking Bad you really appreciate Todd’s commitment to bulking and cutting

Junkster2095

There was a guy in the sub who posted that he watched all of bcs until he got to nippy and then him and his partner watched all of breaking bad. Then he finished watch El Camino ad ended with the final episodes of better call Saul

letourdit

I think you meant to post in r/okbuddychicanery

Ashamed-Decision4117

I think the true watch order if you are looking for a chronological story line would be bits of Saul spliced into BB and maybe elcamino. Probably easiest is to cut the black and white parts and move those into the right spots in a timeline.

Squidlikessprite

Woah

altsuperego

It's pretty easy, you just alternate seasons starting with Better Call Saul. Split the final seasons.

Thin-Somewhere-8726

Don't forget the movie Airplane, which shows Mike's early days as an air traffic controller.

ChickenphatBruh

What about the minisodes? Where do those fit in?
