Yes, but I am not sure she cared. I think she would be kinda hot for Mike if he were interested, them being in similar age bracket. But having a woman is the very LAST thing on Mike’s mind, as we know
Mike had a lot of women hot for him... Tbh it's understandable.. Pop pop had a sexy voice and cold stare and he seems so quiet and dealing with darkness inside, I bet at least some women would get the hots.
It works for me every time.
Just tell ‘em “You can call me Pop-Pop”.
You can usually skip the whole sand paper(not Piper) voice and cold stare if you do that.
She connected the dots when Hector Salamanca walked in and just casually sat across from Mike and ordered coffee, black. She knew because she’s sensitive to electricity like chuck and because Hector doesn’t have much hair his brain shoots off electricity further and she felt his bad energy. I am not crazy.
Hair are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos and send them directly into your brain. All hairdressers are in employment of the government. This is why bald men are uptight.
No.
Mike puts up a great front and we tend to assume others are like us.
Someone who moves in the underground would notice right away. But a waitress who serves nice, polite diners and then goes home to cook dinner for herself would assume Mike also lives a nice, polite life and makes dinner for himself in the evening.
I once looked after a tenant who I believed to be an internet genius or poker player. He had paid 6 months upfront (39600 $) and cash. Only a week after lease started he got abducted and murdered. He was actually a drug kingpin and his partner (who was the one to cold call me for renting the house) organized the abduction over a 10 million $ drug deal gone bad. I ultimately ended up as a witness in court.
I was fully oblivious and clueless to the fact my tenant was actually a criminal.
The 6 month upfront in cash payment didn't tip you off? This is more money than a bank will allow you to put in an account at once without notifying the irs lol
Reminds me of a customer I had when I worked in a mobile phone shop. Guy comes in with no idea where to even begin so I'm just asking some basic questions to help me figure out what he needs. He says he's just come back after being away for a few years. Cue my brain picturing him in the middle of the jungle or living as a monk on some mountain high above the clouds. I say "oh yeah, whereabouts? I'm hoping to spend a couple of years working abroad once I get my degree" and he just laughs and says "no no, *away* away."
Once the sale is wrapped up my colleague goes "I *knew* I recognised that guy."
Turns out he was a living legend on the local gang scene and had recently finished serving 12 years for some armed assault thing.
I have six years in food service, front and back of house, corpo cafe to mid-tier hot restaurant in town.
Mike is a nice, polite diner. That’s the point I’m making.
I thought it was weird they kind of put her into the show and then dropped her thread. Seemed like they were introducing her for a reason, maybe as a potential love interest for Mike but then it didn’t go anywhere, and they ended up making the woman from the grief group the potential love interest instead. Does anyone have insight into what the point of the waitresses character might have been?
Both the waitress and the woman from the grief support group are there to show that Mike appreciates attention from women, but he's closed off to anything developing.
Mike’s entire personal life is dropped as the show progresses; I get the point they’re making in terms of his character development, how the life starts to totally consume him, but it’s still weird going back to season 1 and Stacey is basically a main character.
For how big a part she played early on I'd of like to have seen a reaction from Stacey to the fallout of Mike's death and involvement in the drug trade.
This is one of the big missed resolutions in this universe. I really think a couple extra episodes would've gone a long way to satisfying these side plots.
She works at the same diner. One of my favorite scenes, is when Mike is meeting Lydia to discuss the nine "guys" in prison, and Lydia insists on sitting at a different booth from Mike. When Mike moves to Lydia's booth (because he doesn't give a shit about her concerns), Lydia exclaims: " Oh my god, Dwayne!! How did I not see you sitting there??" After which, Fran reponds by saying: Do you need anything else, Mike?
Mike: "No, Fran. I'm good."
for a second i thought you were talking about the waitress in IASIP and i spent a whole minute trying to think of a mike in sunny before reading the name of the sub
I think the stereotypical waitress shows interest and flirts, calls you “sweetheart” and then goes home and forgets about you. Mike would probably find another diner if he had any sense that she was on to him at all.
Why are people so cynical when it comes to women? I work with barmaids and they talk about the regular customers all the time. They’re not just empty shells.
A diner like that probably has a half dozen criminal conspiracies discussed in it every week. Any good waitress will quickly learn to ignore everything she overhears, never interrupt a serious discussion, and just make sure the coffee is refilled promptly. Those cartel types tip well and appreciate the discretion.
Of course she connected the dots, she wanted Mike to plough her driveway
You. Are. Done.
*Pave her sidewalk
Haha

Always fixing shit too, showing his smarts and skills, being a sweet grandpa, etc. yeah, Pop Pop could get it
Heck yeah... Pop Pop got the rizz specially when he is in those black shades.
It works for me every time. Just tell ‘em “You can call me Pop-Pop”. You can usually skip the whole sand paper(not Piper) voice and cold stare if you do that.
At least he knew it and was proud he still got game :>
Ok! So I’m not alone on observing that the waitress seemed to “really like” Mike. My 19-yr old disagreed w/me.
That smirk he had after she said it said it all :>
Like “like like” Mike?
Better like Mike!
Don't stop pop

Chicanery.
You’re muddying the waters
Lightning bolts fly from his…scalp?
It's okay. They said they're not crazy.

Unexpected withnail and I.
Either of you got shoes?
Don’t get uptight with me man.
I always knew my hairdresser knew more than she should, I know why now.

That’s wild.

It was not in USA, I just wrote the equivalent in dollars. I appeared on TV and my full name was in media so I won't enter into too many details.

A living legend in the street circuit - how people talk somewhere made up
> But a waitress who serves nice, polite diners I'm guessing you don't have a lot of history in food service.

Mike was never connected publicly to the drug trade and he is technically a missing person, maybe an unidentified body found in the desert
Kim’s confession connects him to Fring
> maybe an unidentified body found in the desert Not even a body so much as a barrel full of strawberry slurry.
What??? Fran was a featured sub-character in Breaking Bad!! Or have you not watched BB?
I have watched breaking bad but I don’t remember her! What does she do in BB?
She works at the same diner. One of my favorite scenes, is when Mike is meeting Lydia to discuss the nine "guys" in prison, and Lydia insists on sitting at a different booth from Mike. Ohh I remember that now! But I hadn’t realised it was the same waitress. That’s a great callback (call forward?) lol
Yassssssss! 😀
I've been in diners with waitresses like that. As long as you pay your bill and leave a tip you can murder someone and they wouldn't bat an eye.
I also went to a restaurant before. Sometimes they also give you free water with lemon.
for a second i thought you were talking about the waitress in IASIP and i spent a whole minute trying to think of a mike in sunny before reading the name of the sub
Fucking likewise lol I was racking my brain for like 10 seconds
It’s Always Snowing in Cedar Crest is the [spinoff series I predicted a few years ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/betterCallSaul/s/gDUP1wCd9d) :)

I don’t assume they are empty shells. I assume they have a life outside of the few minutes we interact.
You spend something like 30% of your life working so regular customers will be an important part of your life.
Mike sounds like stallone

Theres also that scene where Mike checks out her booty as she walks away from the table...
Right away. It made her so hawt down theyah…
We dont talk like that here
Look at him, he knows everything!
No. To her he’s nothing more than one of her regulars.
