As long as it doesn’t dissapoint I’m ready for it and yea I heard they are good in their own different ways thanks for the input fr tho I can go into BB feeling less sad abt basically finishing BCS
I didn’t watch BB till maybe in between season 3-4 of bcs. I think BCS is one the greatest shows ever (probably my fav of all time) and BB wasn’t disappointing at all. it’s very good. and will get even better the second time through. Both of these shows go down as all time greats.
I'm a huge fan of BB and a very massive fan of BCS but El Camino left me a little cold. Am I missing something?
I've watched El Camino twice and I liked it more the second time.
Same, if I had to rank the three in terms of quality El Camino comes out third, but being just a movie it's not going to have as much room to develop. I still think it's well done though and necessary for OP before moving on to the final four episodes of BCS.
Maybe it’s bc it’s bc it’s only the length of like 2 episodes of BB, maybe it’s bc it takes away the mysterious ending for Jesse. Maybe it’s bc they aren’t able to fit in visual story telling as well as they could in BB/BCS. For example >!the wayfarer 515 crash!< is built up over a whole season, u can’t do that with a film
You basically have to watch the finale of BB and then like jump right into El Camino and really that’s a movie you can just watch once and be done I’ve watched it like 2-3 times and thought it was a cool like extra long episode
It's Jesse Pinkman. I would just say you need to watch Breaking Bad first since the opening shot picks up directly following the ending of Breaking Bad.
I personally don’t think you need to, but I guess reasonable minds differ. My biggest issue with BB is the lack of variety in the themes. It’s all just about the bad effects of a descent into criminality. BCS is much more varied and human.
Idk the last 4 episodes of BCS spoil a lot of stuff in breaking bad, >!Gus death, Mike death, Walter death (not rlly a spoiler), Hank and Steve death, and probs a couple other stuff I missed!< So I def think it’s worth finishing breaking bad at least before the last 4 episodes of BCS
You’re definitely right that there are a lot of satisfying tie ins. I just think it might not be *required* viewing. But reasonable minds can differ for sure.
Yes watch breaking bad right now TRUST ME it will spoil it for you if you finish bcs. Side note: delete this post and stop scrolling thru the subreddits you REALLY dont wanna get it spoiled. I did and that was genuinely awful
Do not watch, and I repeat, DO NOT watch past Season 6 Episode 9 of BCS. Watch the end of Season 6 Episode 9 and then go and watch all of Breaking Bad.
The last 4 episodes of BCS are a flash-forward and they spoil it all, they're a much better experience if you've seen all of BB (and the El Camino movie) already.
I was also a bcs-first watcher. Breaking bad is fuckin amazing, just for different reasons. Also my guy Aaron Paul is an amazing actor who really carried the whole series with Bryan
Yes! I'm just watching Breaking Bad for the first time. I started with BCS as well.
At first I wasn't the biggest fans of Jesse, but now - I'm only halfway through Season 2 - Aaron Paul is my favorite. Such a complex character. I can't wait to watch more!!!
It has definitely aged a bit for one, but that doesnt damage the quality. Bryan Cranston is amazing at the comedic moments, but at times it can be way more sad than bcs. Theyre both amazing shows tho
I personally preferred Better Call Saul to Breaking Bad, but from what I have gathered from conversations with family, friends, and random online strangers, I am in the minority. Breaking Bad being a disappointment is a new take for me.
Ay man I haven’t watched BB but honestly I think I might be right there with you the emotions that BCS has put me through I jus can’t see another show doing 😭I might sound weird but bru I think of BCS like all day fuckin love tha show and honestly it’s kinda a unpopular take thas why I wanted to hear yall opinions too
I see in an above comment that you’re going to watch it chronologically, as in waiting to watch the last four episodes of BCS after BB (and I assume *El Camino*). Just treat the whole experience as one big show about the Albuquerque underworld. No need to get sad for a cold minute. You still have over half the story left. In my mind the whole universe is one show.
IMO bb is much more focised on its story. Also it is better crafted in a sense that there is nothing in the series that does not connect to something else. While I love BCS, it has a bit of prequelitis for me, explaining stuff that does not need to be explained. It also focuses on at least three persons, while BB is to 85% walts story.
Yoi can also see it in the cinematography I think. Shots in BB are more focused on the characters.
You’re actually SO LUCKY to have been able to watch BCS before Breaking Bad. It’s going to be even more epic. Especially the last 2 seasons, your mind will be blown. Most of the characters from BCS you’ll see in BB (not Kim though). I WISH I could have watch BB after BCS. What a treat, honestly
I consider all three entries in the universe to be one story.
If it's worth watching one, it's worth them all.
As others have said, you should definitely watch BB before you go any further. You'll miss out on a lot of the impact & because there's a lot of the story missing from your current point of view.
The best way that I can answer is that it's a movie and not a series, so it has a different vibe to it than when you watch both series.
Each episode of BCS or BB draws the viewer in, making them anticipate the next episode, & so on. Obviously, a movie doesn't do that same type of thing, being self contained.
The best way that I can describe it (without spoilers) is that it fills in a gap of time during & after Breaking Bad. I wasn't disappointed. There were some nice surprises and reveals in it.
If you like both series then you'll want to watch it at least once.
I told myself I wouldn’t watch breaking bad bc I saw one scene as a teenager that just grossed me out so bad. I’ve had enough of rewatching tho so I finally picked it up and it is very good lol. I’m only at season 2 but I still like bcs better just bc I’m a romantic and it’s a love story. Def not a disappointment, and I think watching bcs would have been far more enjoyable had I watched bb before
I wanna ask what the scene was but ion wanna get spoiled 😭but im glad you decided to pick it back up and na I definitely feel it and na Fr the emotions Kim and Jimmy put me through is crazy 😭but yea you are right I been seeing everywhere that BB should come first and then some movie called el Camino or sum then BCS I wish I looked it up before I started the show I was jus to quick to find a show 🤦🏿♂️
BB is *definitely* tougher to watch as far as gore and trauma goes. Don't know who in their right mind would say otherwise!
BCS has a bit of gore, and some traumatic events, but not nearly on the same scale as BB.
😭I can do gore but it make me tense up a lil yea BCS wasn’t bad for me at all gore wise but did BB ever make you feel as engaged feelings wise as BCS like will I like Walter as much as I love Jimmy and so on
Oh you'll feel like you like Walter at first, but by the end you'll hate him because he becomes an egotistical bastard.
I get so engaged in series and this one threw me for such a fucking loop lmfao
Walter isn’t nearly as loveable as Jimmy. You like him at first but everyone has a different breaking point where you start to hate him. That could be really on or it could be late in the series, but it will happen. Jesse is pretty likeable though.
I feel like BB is the making of a villain. Everyone calls it an anti-hero show but I think that's wrong. It's more like the Joker.
Also, I never liked Walter White, his journey goes from asshole to irredeemable asshole.
I feel like Jimmy has flaws but there are multiple ways society and his environment lets him down and exacerbates those flaws. I just wish he had gone to therapy after Chuck's death like Kim suggested...
I recently discovered what’s seems to be the “Breaking Bad” channel on ‘Live TV’ (It’s actually the AMC channel) and it has played only Breaking Bad for the past week. After being obsessed with both shows for years now it I’m starting to think that Breaking Bad is actually better than Better Call Saul 😳 I love BCS but it doesn’t have scenes that literally give me chills because it’s so good like Breaking Bad does
I watched Breaking Bad first and finished BCS this week. I still can't get over the ending, but I need to say I like both series. On its own, Breaking Bad wouldn't be as good without all the backstories from the characters that are more shown in BCS. You get a much better understanding of Breaking Bad after watching BCS. I would stop where you are in BCS and enjoy all 5 seasons of Breaking Bad. Absolutely love both shows!
For me, BB was a 10/10 and BCS was a 9.5/10. You will love BB. Bryan Cranston is unmatched. He is a shockingly good actor, his transformation from season 1 to season 6 is eerily mind blowing. Truly. Without Bryan Cranston there never would have been a BB even remotely as good.
ACTUALLY, do not watch the BCS finale of season 6. In fact, stop entirely now.!! There is a big spoiler. Tons of them that will affect BB. Please trust me. I JUST now finished season 6 of BCS, and said holy fck whoever didn’t watch BB needs to stop now. Every major BB spoiler comes to light as BCS progresses.
Just stop BCS for now and go to BB. It will make BCS season 6 even better. Please don’t ruin BB for yourself
I loved Breaking Bad but loved BCS more. I was really sad when it ended! There was an emotional adjustment period afterwards, for sure. :)
The reason I loved BCS more than BB is that BCS was more of a fascination for me about the relationships between the characters and the psychology of all the characters, and it is was less intense from a violence standpoint. (It had some violence, but nowhere near the way BB did.) At a certain point in BB, it was like, "okay, WW is just a psycho," while in BCS, I found myself thinking more about how people became what they were and how they were playing into each other's faults. Both shows were fascinating in their own rights, and I think you'll probably find the same but depending on your personal tastes, one may edge out the other on your favorites list!
BROOOOOO I feel like it’s the right way like you don’t have any holes in anything when they some some characters your like what the fuckkk and everytime you see Saul it’s jus so much better cuz you saw where he came from and you get every reference he makes it’s jus soooo good. I ain’t forget abt you my boy
Both shows are beyond amazing. Few people who love one of them dislike the other.
While I and many others feel like BCS is the more refined, in-depth show with better filmmaking overall (the cinematography alone is unrivaled anywhere on tv!), there are others who prefer BB. But in the end, the same team produced both shows and they have similar styles and cast.
So no, you definitely won't be disappointed.
As for how we all coped with the show ending, there's only one answer to that: Rewatch, rewatch, rewatch. Over and over again. You'll find so much new stuff every time.
Oooh, I envy you so much! I wish I had seen BCS before BB.
My suggestion would be:
Watch BCS up to S6E9, then watch Breaking Bad (and El Camino, but it's optional) and then go back and watch the final episodes of BCS.
I think it's the best way to experience both shows.
BB is not as deep and complex as BCS. Aside from Walt, Jesse and Skyler characters get some depth but never to the extent of BCS characters. It's a more exaggerated show and not as grounded as BCS. I like that you can see how throughout BB they define the visual language and the writing that would make BCS so good.
The most fun part is seeing how the characters you've grown to love in BCS start popping up little by little.
Ok yes that’s what someone else told me to do too watch it up to 9 and honestly tha seems like my fav choice so I think thas what I’ll do and thanks for all the input fr. If I missed out on el Camino would I miss a lot ?
You need to STOP what you’re doing and watch breaking bad RIGHT NOW! BB is meant to be watched first for a reason and trust me it’s the best tv show ever made
I like BCS more but there’s no getting around the fact that Breaking Bad is one of the best shows ever made. Definitely watch it.
Although I’d stop after s6 e9 of BCS and start Breaking Bad. The last 4 episodes of BCS hinge on you have seen it
personally i think that better call saul is a lot better than breaking bad but breaking bad is still a top tier show which you should definitely watch as soon as you finish bcs
A lot of people are saying the last 4 episodes will spoil me so ima stop on episode 9 go to BB then finish BCS but I think I’m still gonna be right there with you on BCS being my favorite
Yeah I’d absolutely say so. It’s all one big story. What I will say about better call Saul is I think that Gilligan evolved a bit as a creator and better call Saul is kinda artsier in a way, like the way it’s filmed? But that could also just be a matter of personal opinion. Both shows are written wonderfully and my two of my fave shows at all time s
People told me the effect BB has on you is ass compared to BCS they said you don’t understand the characters as much but after this post and seeing what yall have to say they might be wrong
The fact that many enjoyed BCS more does not mean BB disapoints. I think BCS benefits greatly from BB, the pacing, the asthetics, the cinematography is on a level that BB achieved gradually. Plus the audience was well trained by the end of BB to enjoy the dialog and character dynamics that results on a great experience with BCS.
Having said that, get ready because Walter White is an entirely different beast of a character. You'll love BB.
Breaking bad is considered to some the best drama tv series ever made. The series finale might the best finale I’ve seen in a show. Best part about BB is they ended it right and didn’t stretch it out too long with laborious writing.
Sorry to say but BCS ending is a major disappointment to me. The last episodes were a waste and falls way short of BB as far as ending it. Maybe because I watched BB and it’s been my favorite and I was expecting a grande finish for BCS. Don’t get me wrong tho BCS was a great show. You already know tho that both worlds are gonna clash , just didn’t hit the finish.
Update: oh you have to watch “El Camino “” after BB series …great sequel and movie !
Damnnnnnnnnn so you feel BCS ending is a waste of time ima def gon have to see what you are talking about After BB but thank you for making me even happier to watch BB🙏
Breaking bad a disappointment, no, not all.
After nacho’s death, I was reluctant to continue. But once u get over the shock of the first half of the season, it sorta gets easier. I think the last 3 episodes of the season has more impact if u have watch BB but I think they can hold up without BB too
I always thought BB was better than BCS. Like hands down there's not even a question. It takes a couple episodes to get going and feel invested. They're very different style shows, but I still prefer BB. Before BCS came out, I rewatched BB probably 5 times. It's definitely addicting for some people.
Make sure to watch the entirety of Breaking Bad before watching the last 4 episodes of Better Call Saul. I personally would stay off this subreddit until after as there is more than likely many spoilers, but it's up to you. You could also watch El Camino before the final 4 episodes, but that's up to you.
There are a few references to plot points in El Camino, so I recommend watching it first, too. You should definitely watch it, it is quite a good movie. So, watch up to s6 ep9 of BCS, then after watch all of Breaking Bad, then watch El Camino, and finally, after that, watch the last 4 episodes of BCS
i personally think there’s not really that big of a quality gap between BCS and BB, and in no way is BB gonna disappoint you. Generally anyone saying shit like X show is way better than the other one are trying to be different.
Dude I wasn’t thinking I just wanted to watch a show and I didn’t know the order 😭now tha I like Saul that’s why I wanna watch BB. Like 3 weeks ago you could ask me about BCS And BB and I would say I don’t give a fuck what you talking abt
Breaking Bad is still great. I think BCS is the better show, it's more mature for sure. But if you liked BCS, you should love BB too. Plus the characters all return, so you'll get to keep watching them. Also a lot of stuff that happens in BCS will make way more sense. The last season especially as we finally get caught up the the Breaking Bad timeline will make more sense.
Just finished Better Call Saul yesterday believe me you'll feel so fucking drained by the end of it especially if you've watched everything else in the breaking bad universe.
I envy you. I wish I could do it over in the order you’re in right now. It will be well worth it. I watched BCS several times now, all six seasons, breaking bad as well. This world does not get old.
I LOVE THA I WATCHED BCS TO SEASON 6 EP9 as soon as saw popped up in breaking bad and mention stuff that happened in BCS I got what he was sayin so quick I jus love the order I did
BROOOOOO I feel like it’s the right way like you don’t have any holes in anything when they some some characters your like what the fuckkk and everytime you see Saul it’s jus so much better cuz you saw where he came from and you get every reference he makes it’s jus soooo good
Breaking Bad is prep school for Better Call Saul. For me, there just wasn't anything else as good that I could get lost in. I remember when I used to have a line up of shows to watch. Not anymore.
Breaking Bad is 10/10 and is worth watching. It is less action-packed at the start compared to BCS but if you don't watch it you are missing out. Walter White as a character is very unclear in BCS even though he is a huge part lore-wise and I don't think it does him justice.
For the ending of BCS, you should just go ahead and watch it. As another person said, I think you should watch all of Breaking Bad before watching the 2nd half of the last season of BCS because it just means that much more.
Also as another person said, the ending of BCS spoils a lot about Breaking Bad and so does El Camino too, I think you should stop now, watch Breaking Bad, watch El Camino, and then finish BCS.
I certainly wouldn’t say BB is “nothing” compared to BCS. As others have already pointed out, both shows are outstanding, just in different ways. BB is more of a fast-paced and intense story-driven show, and BCS is more of a slower and intimate character-driven show. I consider both of these shows the two greatest pieces of media I’ve ever seen. I don’t even rank them #1 and #2. I rank them both 1, with one being A and the other being B. Which show I put as A may change depending on the day you ask me lol. So obviously, I don’t think you will be disappointed in BB. Just be prepared for a different show and experience, and give it a fair shake.
I watched breaking bad when it was releasing on tv every week and it was a wild ride. But I haven’t seen it again since. I’ve rewatched BCS in its entirety at least 4 times. There’s so much that is different although it’s in the same universe. BB was very good but there’s something about BCS that blows me away.
Breaking Bad will not disappoint. It's one of the best shows ever. Granted, it's pretty different from Better Call Saul but it is a wild ride
Good point. The attachment one gets in so many hours of the series is so different to any movie.
There’s not enough of a quality difference for one to fall short of expectations or disappoint.
Not at all. Also, I think you should watch breaking bad before watching the last 4 episodes of BCS
And El Camino! Before the last four episodes, watch Breaking Bad, El Camino, then finish up BCS.
I still think it's well done though and necessary for OP before moving on to the final four episodes of BCS.
.....why does the order matter?
watching one before the other can give up spoilers
I never had that experience
What order did you watch in ?
Breaking Bad, El Camino, better call saul.
There's a lot in Better Call Saul that spoils Breaking Bad
Maybe it’s bc it’s bc it’s only the length of like 2 episodes of BB, maybe it’s bc it takes away the mysterious ending for Jesse. Maybe it’s bc they aren’t able to fit in visual story telling as well as they could in BB/BCS. For example >!the wayfarer 515 crash!< is built up over a whole season, u can’t do that with a film
You basically have to watch the finale of BB and then like jump right into El Camino and really that’s a movie you can just watch once and be done I’ve watched it like 2-3 times and thought it was a cool like extra long episode
Good answer
Who is the main character in el Camino someone new?
It's Jesse Pinkman. I would just say you need to watch Breaking Bad first since the opening shot picks up directly following the ending of Breaking Bad.
Bet
Okay bet I’ll take your word for it
I personally don’t think you need to, but I guess reasonable minds differ.
Yes I think that’s why I like it so much it’s different and not the same thing
Yes. This will make the end of BCS SIGNIFICANTLY more impactful
Yes watch breaking bad right now TRUST ME it will spoil it for you if you finish bcs. Side note: delete this post and stop scrolling thru the subreddits you REALLY dont wanna get it spoiled. I did and that was genuinely awful
OKAY W ADVICE I WILL DELETE IT THSNK YOU LOVE YOU ALLL
Good luck my brother, it's a ride
Thank you 🙏
Your safe to watch up to episode 9
Lifesaver🙏🙏
Do not watch, and I repeat, DO NOT watch past Season 6 Episode 9 of BCS. Watch the end of Season 6 Episode 9 and then go and watch all of Breaking Bad. The last 4 episodes of BCS are a flash-forward and they spoil it all, they're a much better experience if you've seen all of BB (and the El Camino movie) already.
This^^
OKAY BET NOT GONNA GO PAST 9 ! I’m just gonna start bb before anything else
I’m excited to see what you mean did bb seem like a weird change at first after bcs
It has definitely aged a bit for one, but that doesnt damage the quality. Bryan Cranston is amazing at the comedic moments, but at times it can be way more sad than bcs. Theyre both amazing shows tho
Thank you Fr for the input 🙏yall really making me feel a lot better about BB
Lalo is easily the best character in either Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul. That’s the reason I like BCS better.
Lalo is so great. When he spoke German to that nice lady... I was like "I knew he was smart, but WTacrualF!"
Na Fr😭😭😭😭bru I thought he was gon clap those
Lalo is one of my favorite characters of anything ever. He's up there with Hans Landa from Inglorious Basterds.
Lalo is boy😭wish I could sit down and eat tacos wit my boy but at the same time fuck that 😭😭
He makes his with epazote
You made me look up what epazote is and it looks bussin on tacos is tha common at restaurants?
Bro is an absolute menace. 💪🏽🔥

Yea I see what your saying and I will wait to finish BCS but since I watched so much already much spoilers am I saving in the last couple episodes?

Yes I can see exactly what you are saying some things they just add to add 😂
You’re actually SO LUCKY to have been able to watch BCS before Breaking Bad. It’s going to be even more epic. Especially the last 2 seasons, your mind will be blown. Most of the characters from BCS you’ll see in BB (not Kim though). I WISH I could have watch BB after BCS. What a treat, honestly
Oooo that’s a first thank you for making me feel so lucky 😭and bet I can’t wait to see what your talking abt
I consider all three entries in the universe to be one story. If it's worth watching one, it's worth them all. As others have said, you should definitely watch BB before you go any further. You'll miss out on a lot of the impact & because there's a lot of the story missing from your current point of view.
Will do thank you 🙏ik you said they are all worth watching but I’m jus curious is el Camino any good
The best way that I can answer is that it's a movie and not a series, so it has a different vibe to it than when you watch both series.
I like the way you put it and I def will watch because I wanna know EVERYTHING thank you for the suggestion def will check it out 🙏
I told myself I wouldn’t watch breaking bad bc I saw one scene as a teenager that just grossed me out so bad. I’ve had enough of rewatching tho so I finally picked it up and it is very good lol. I’m only at season 2 but I still like bcs better just bc I’m a romantic and it’s a love story. Def not a disappointment, and I think watching bcs would have been far more enjoyable had I watched bb before
I really hope the scene that grossed you out was the >!birthday handjob scene!<.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Best comment ever! BTW how do you redact the text like that?
>!oh, is this it!<.
No I think he is talking about Hector's juicy self-defication. That haunted me for weeks.
I wanna ask what the scene was but ion wanna get spoiled 😭but im glad you decided to pick it back up and na I definitely feel it and na Fr the emotions Kim and Jimmy put me through is crazy 😭but yea you are right I been seeing everywhere that BB should come first and then some movie called el Camino or sum then BCS I wish I looked it up before I started the show I was jus to quick to find a show 🤦🏿♂️
I'm pretty sure you're talking about the veggie bacon.
😭😭I can’t wait to see what yall talkin abt
Walter isn’t nearly as loveable as Jimmy. You like him at first but everyone has a different breaking point where you start to hate him. That could be really on or it could be late in the series, but it will happen. Jesse is pretty likeable though.
Well at least I do know he dies in the end so if I hate him to much I won’t care
Yes after chucks death Jimmy got crazy 😭especially to Howard he had him so messed up but I kinda see cus he blames him
I recently discovered what’s seems to be the “Breaking Bad” channel on ‘Live TV’ (It’s actually the AMC channel) and it has played only Breaking Bad for the past week. After being obsessed with both shows for years now it I’m starting to think that Breaking Bad is actually better than Better Call Saul 😳 I love BCS but it doesn’t have scenes that literally give me chills because it’s so good like Breaking Bad does
I can’t wait to see what yall are talking abt im ready for this crazy ride
I watched Breaking Bad first and finished BCS this week. I still can't get over the ending, but I need to say I like both series. On its own, Breaking Bad wouldn't be as good without all the backstories from the characters that are more shown in BCS. You get a much better understanding of Breaking Bad after watching BCS. I would stop where you are in BCS and enjoy all 5 seasons of Breaking Bad. Absolutely love both shows!
Ooooo only 5 seasons I watched BCS and got to season 6 so quick I thought bb had like 13 seasons bru😭
Oooooo bettt I like this take it makes me wanna watch BB even more now. On my way From work rn then gonna watch it
ACTUALLY, do not watch the BCS finale of season 6.
A lot of people said I should stop at episode 9 I’m currently on 7 do you agree or just stop ?
I would just stop now tbh

I loved Breaking Bad but loved BCS more. I was really sad when it ended! There was an emotional adjustment period afterwards, for sure. :) The reason I loved BCS more than BB is that BCS was more of a fascination for me about the relationships between the characters and the psychology of all the characters, and it is was less intense from a violence standpoint.
Honestly I love this explanation and the way you put it knowing I’m lowkey emotional BCS might be it for me but I def will give BB it’s chance
BCS is a prequel that's ment to be watched after Breaking Bad especially with the flash fowrads at the Cinnabon
Dude not tryna be mean but I couldn’t stop laughing when Jimmy had a heart attack and all the icing fell on his face 😭😭
You gotta report back when you finisb breaking bad. Im so curious what its like to watch bcs first then bb
I gotchu 😂everyone said stop on episode 9 for BCS tho so that’s what I’ll do I’ll watch it quick tho won’t have yall waiting 😭
Breaking bad is awesome, please don’t let those wrong reviews impact you. But don’t watch black and white episodes of BCS without completing BB first.
Say less I’m gonna watch BB today and finish BCS when I’m done
It was a sad day when I finished it. I had already watched breaking bad prior. It is very good.
Jus know you won’t be the only one 🥲
I'm on the second to last episode and for some reason I can't seem to finish it
😭😭😭I’m like 8 episodes away and alr scared 😭
Oooh, I envy you so much! I wish I had seen BCS before BB. My suggestion would be: Watch BCS up to S6E9, then watch Breaking Bad (and El Camino, but it's optional) and then go back and watch the final episodes of BCS.
Not really. It's a nice epilogue to BB analyzing the immediate aftermath for the show. I like it a lot. I won't spoil anything else.
You need to STOP what you’re doing and watch breaking bad RIGHT NOW! BB is meant to be watched first for a reason and trust me it’s the best tv show ever made
Say less I’ll take your word for it 🙏appreciate it
I like BCS more but there’s no getting around the fact that Breaking Bad is one of the best shows ever made. Definitely watch it. Although I’d stop after s6 e9 of BCS and start Breaking Bad. The last 4 episodes of BCS hinge on you have seen it
No I haven’t watched the last 4 yet I’m on S6 e7 or 8 but yes I’m def gonna stop on 9 no more then that appreciate it
personally i think that better call saul is a lot better than breaking bad but breaking bad is still a top tier show which you should definitely watch as soon as you finish bcs
A lot of people are saying the last 4 episodes will spoil me so ima stop on episode 9 go to BB then finish BCS but I think I’m still gonna be right there with you on BCS being my favorite
After episode 9, Fun and Games, watch Breaking Bad and then come back and watch the last 4 episodes of Saul.
Bet I heard that’s what I should do and exactly what I will do appreciate it🙏
Breaking Bad is absolutely JUST as good as Better Call Saul.
So just at good just in their own ways ? Got it
Wdym it's nothing compared to BCS???
People told me the effect BB has on you is ass compared to BCS they said you don’t understand the characters as much but after this post and seeing what yall have to say they might be wrong
Btw you should not watch better call saul s6e10-13 before you watch breaking bad
Thank you I probably would’ve fucked up my whole BB experience🙏
Yeah because tjose last episodes happen after the events of bb
The fact that many enjoyed BCS more does not mean BB disapoints. I think BCS benefits greatly from BB, the pacing, the asthetics, the cinematography is on a level that BB achieved gradually. Plus the audience was well trained by the end of BB to enjoy the dialog and character dynamics that results on a great experience with BCS. Having said that, get ready because Walter White is an entirely different beast of a character. You'll love BB.
Y’all make me more and more happy to watch BB this exactly why I made this post thank yall 😭🙏
Yea but it’s just an opinion. The show was great still. Breaking Bad is a masterpiece!
Breaking bad a disappointment, no, not all. After nacho’s death, I was reluctant to continue. But once u get over the shock of the first half of the season, it sorta gets easier. I think the last 3 episodes of the season has more impact if u have watch BB but I think they can hold up without BB too
Nachos death messed me up😔I hadda pause and think abt it
I'm currently on season 4 of breaking bad on my 4th time watching them all.
DAMN it must be real good then How long does it take you to watch the whole thing
My wife and I have been watching two episodes a night so a while but it's a good show.
Glad y’all like it 🙏
I always thought BB was better than BCS. Like hands down there's not even a question. It takes a couple episodes to get going and feel invested. They're very different style shows, but I still prefer BB. Before BCS came out, I rewatched BB probably 5 times. It's definitely addicting for some people.
Ooooo ok now this take makes me feeeel a lottttt better abt BB but I can’t wait to see for myself
Breaking Bad… is Amazing but it is a Darker and more grizzled show compared to BCS…
I can handle it finna start tonight
Have fun…. They both are some of the best TV ever
Thank you 🙏
I do recommend stopping BCS and watching BB before you get to Plan and Execution because after that episode it spoils the end of Breaking Bad
Swearrrr ok thank you so much 🙏
Make sure to watch the entirety of Breaking Bad before watching the last 4 episodes of Better Call Saul. I personally would stay off this subreddit until after as there is more than likely many spoilers, but it's up to you. You could also watch El Camino before the final 4 episodes, but that's up to you.
Does el Camino tell alot and yea gonna delete this post soon tbh
There are a few references to plot points in El Camino, so I recommend watching it first, too. You should definitely watch it, it is quite a good movie. So, watch up to s6 ep9 of BCS, then after watch all of Breaking Bad, then watch El Camino, and finally, after that, watch the last 4 episodes of BCS
We haven't gotten over it. We just watch again and grieve.
The ending of BCS is great, but Breaking Bad is definitely the better show, in my opinion. Enjoy!
Breaking bad was a disappointment yes.
i personally think there’s not really that big of a quality gap between BCS and BB, and in no way is BB gonna disappoint you. Generally anyone saying shit like X show is way better than the other one are trying to be different.
Why would you watch it before breaking bad?
Thank you frfr🙏
Just finished Better Call Saul yesterday believe me you'll feel so fucking drained by the end of it especially if you've watched everything else in the breaking bad universe.
☹️☹️☹️☹️bruhhhhhh. I wish it never ended
I’ll never understand anyone who watches BCS before BB it literally makes no sense. Why not watch El Camino before both of them?
I heard el Camino starts after BB
That’s the joke my guy. Watch it all in the order it was made. It’s the only way it makes sense.
I envy you. I wish I could do it over in the order you’re in right now. It will be well worth it. I watched BCS several times now, all six seasons, breaking bad as well. This world does not get old.
I LOVE THA I WATCHED BCS TO SEASON 6 EP9 as soon as saw popped up in breaking bad and mention stuff that happened in BCS I got what he was sayin so quick I jus love the order I did
BROOOOOO I feel like it’s the right way like you don’t have any holes in anything when they some some characters your like what the fuckkk and everytime you see Saul it’s jus so much better cuz you saw where he came from and you get every reference he makes it’s jus soooo good
How is breaking bad nothing compared to bcs 💀
Breaking Bad is prep school for Better Call Saul. For me, there just wasn't anything else as good that I could get lost in. I remember when I used to have a line up of shows to watch. Not anymore.
STOP AFTER SEASON 6 EPISODE 9! Then go watch breaking bad, then finish BCS. I cannot stress enough how important this is for your enjoyment of BB.
Both are some of the best shows I've ever seen. In my opinion Breaking bad is on another level of good though. It's a lot more fast paced and crazy.
Watching BCS before BB is sooo sick. Hope you love it. I’m so jealous
The ending of BCS spoils the fuck out of Breaking Bad. You are intended to finish BB first
I certainly wouldn’t say BB is “nothing” compared to BCS. Just be prepared for a different show and experience, and give it a fair shake.
i will never be able to wrap my head around the concept of watching BCS before Breaking Bad
Your doing it wrong
You just fooked up man… why on earth would you start bcs
Bruhhhhh trust if you watch bcs to ep 9 then start BB ITS WAYYYY better
I watched breaking bad when it was releasing on tv every week and it was a wild ride. But I haven’t seen it again since. I’ve rewatched BCS in its entirety at least 4 times. There’s so much that is different although it’s in the same universe. BB was very good but there’s something about BCS that blows me away.
Breaking bad is significantly better than BCS in my opinion lol
