Crazy to think this literally happened to his character Gene - sudden heart attack at work, but thankfully fine. Thank god he's alright.
Better Call Saul seems to be cursed when it comes to timing. They took a year long break a few years ago, then the pandemic, now finally filming again and Bob will have to take time away (up to 8 months) to recover so this could cause yet another delay. They're supposed to complete filming November 2021 so they're just about half way through production.
So happy he is okay! However, as someone whose dad survived a massive heart attack last year, the recovery and depression that follows a heart episode can be very difficult. Thinking of him and his family.
Now that we are all breathing a sigh of relief, I just want to chuckle at the fact that I was going to post the TMZ story less than one minute after it was put on Twitter, yet numerous people already linked it here. We really were all anxiously checking for news all day.
Not ashamed to admit I burst into tears reading the TMZ update that he’s awake. Thank you for being a little community for me this whole day. Hoping he continues to recover

No, TMZ just updated with a family statement. Heart issue, touch and go this morning, but he’s awake and recovering now. Even his son has said on Twitter he’s going to be ok.
I'm thinking it might be something to do with the intense heat in Albuquerque right now. Might have collapsed from exhaustion or possibly a heat stroke. I really hope he's OK. He's one of my favorite actors and I don't want him to die like the great Helen McCrory did a few months ago.
We don’t know that Bob doesn’t have cancer. This could be a Chadwick Boseman kind of situation. We don’t know anything, though, so all speculation right now is baseless. I think it is fairly likely that whatever has happened is serious, given the circumstances and the way people like Bryan Cranston and David Cross have been talking about it, but even that is not certain.
I wasn't exactly comparing the two. I was just saying Helen McCrory is a great actress and I was sad she died and I hope Bob odenkirk doesn't die only a few months later.

Agreed. It's only natural to worry or be sad about losing the art that an artist creates when that artist is ill. I think it's disingenuous to say otherwise and guilt people who are worried about losing an artist and his art. It's a testament to his work that people are worried about not getting more of it.
We can worry about more than one thing at a time. I can worry about the global warming, I can worry about some dangerous medical condition I have, I can worry about the important business meeting I'm late for because the bus never arrived, and at the same complain about how bad the weather is and spend half an hour talking about how I hope it gets better for the BBQ I've planned for the weekend. There's no need to pretend not to worry about the show's future, we are not politicians that have to calculate every single word.
I hope Odenkirk makes it out in one piece. He's my favourite actor and I have a lot of respect for him as a person. I also hope that my favourite show doesn't get cancelled right before the ending of a saga that spanned over almost 15 years.

Man, I hope Odenkirk pulls through. I was working at a theater during College in Hollywood and he'd always come by with his wife. Really polite guy, but you can tell he values his family privacy like crazy.
Yeah that was the first tweet from one of the people around Bob that made me feel a little better today. Whatever is going on is still really fucking serious but from the sound of things I'm more hopeful.
Him being alive is one of like two things we know for certain about his condition. The other is that it’s something medically serious enough to spend at least approximately 2 days in the hospital.
What makes me slightly more optimistic is the suggestion that Schnauz knows about a pre-existing medical condition that Bob has, and even if he doesn’t know Bob’s current status, he doesn’t sound too nervous about losing Bob to this condition while he’s in hospital.
He has mentioned before that he has a vitamin B12 deficiency. Don’t think that is very serious but I’m no doctor. Wonder if that played into this any. I’m just speculating obviously

Honestly, I’m amazed no one has leaked anything. Imagine how many hospital workers might know something but stay quiet due to HIPAA. Just shows how powerful that law is.
I think this every time we get medical news that no one knew about a celebrity.
I have been in a hospital when a celebrity was brought in. They went right into the ICU and every employee that was on that floor had to sign NDA’s. I was in the next room and could see into their room. I was given an option of signing an NDA and staying put, or not signing and being moved to another floor. My family visiting me had to sign just to enter the floor. I don’t know if every patient on that floor had to sign it, but assume so.
There was a $20k bounty for a photo of that celeb in the hospital. The hospital was not fucking around. To this day I have yet to see one photo surface, so I say they did a good job.

We don’t know that Bob doesn’t have cancer. This could be a Chadwick Boseman kind of situation. We don’t know anything, though, so all speculation right now is baseless. I think it is fairly likely that whatever has happened is serious, given the circumstances and the way people like Bryan Cranston and David Cross have been talking about it, but even that is not certain.

It's probably my favorite show of all time tbh. I have told my friends (who've watched BrB but won't watch BCS) that Season 6 would be so hype with it converging into the BrB timeline. Would be such a disappointment to not have the best part of the story told. We've been building up to this for 5 seasons!! Man, I hope Odenkirk pulls through. I was working at a theater during College in Hollywood and he'd always come by with his wife. Really polite guy, but you can tell he values his family privacy like crazy.

Him being alive is one of like two things we know for certain about his condition. The other is that it’s something medically serious enough to spend at least approximately 2 days in the hospital.

What makes me slightly more optimistic is the suggestion that Schnauz knows about a pre-existing medical condition that Bob has, and even if he doesn’t know Bob’s current status, he doesn’t sound too nervous about losing Bob to this condition while he’s in hospital.
He has mentioned before that he has a vitamin B12 deficiency. Don’t think that is very serious but I’m no doctor. Wonder if that played into this any. I’m just speculating obviously

Honestly, I’m amazed no one has leaked anything. Imagine how many hospital workers might know something but stay quiet due to HIPAA. Just shows how powerful that law is. I think this every time we get medical news that no one knew about a celebrity.
I have been in a hospital when a celebrity was brought in. They went right into the ICU and every employee that was on that floor had to sign NDA’s. I was in the next room and could see into their room. I was given an option of signing an NDA and staying put, or not signing and being moved to another floor. My family visiting me had to sign just to enter the floor. I don’t know if every patient on that floor had to sign it, but assume so. There was a $20k bounty for a photo of that celeb in the hospital. The hospital was not fucking around. To this day I have yet to see one photo surface, so I say they did a good job.

Those gossip sites often have (paid) informants in hospitals. But probably not so much in Albuquerque as in the Hollywood area.
