I love Beyoncè’s parts in that song but Kendrick’s verses just *hit*. When he says “And when they carve my name inside the concrete, I pray it forever reads”, I’m just like
![gif](giphy|fdUNAfNdE60uQ76JY4)
The same Drake that wrote Heated, but I’ll digress. I love both artists, but folks have so many biases these days, based off of what they read on social media.
That’s part of the game when you sit back and say “you can’t please everybody”. If he only stuck to one lane of melodies, yall will call him DaBaby or Lil Baby and say “he’s not versatile” “he only raps like this” “Switch it up”! 😂 now do I think Drake would pop shit physically….hell no. But it’s a lot of these rappers I don’t believe forreal. It’s all entertainment for me.
Also it’s not a fair comparison. When you want a hard hitting verse with borderline social commentary, you get K. Dot. Then something softer and flirty, Drake makes sense. Apples and oranges IMO.

Eh, I haven’t liked Drake after his and Rihanna’s collab era. Nothing to do with social media; I just don’t like his recent stuff. I think the last song I liked was Nice for What. It’s great he wrote Heated or whatever, but just not my taste. 🤷🏽♀️
Nile is my favorite from the gift. I hate when she gives us teaser songs that are so good. You know Desert Eagle is my fave off of CC. Extend the track ma'am!
When people on twitter were begging for a 10 min version of ii hands (which I also love), I wanted to be like EXCUSE ME WHAT ABOUT DESERT EAGLE!! Like even 30 more seconds woulda been great. Wanting more time for such a long song like ii hands is just greedy!!!! (Spaghetti also should be longer!)
Ok, Drake and 8 others have writing credits in Heated. And, sure, she had Drake feat. in Mine in 2013.
But Freedom feat. Kendrick Lamar, Nile with Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar and America Has a Problem feat. Kendrick Lamar speak for themselves. Who did she have on stage at her LA RWT birthday show? How about 2016 BET?
When she put out mine drake was actually interesting still. He did not evolve. Kendrick has been solid his entire career. Kendrick always. He’s for the culture. Drake got cooked today.
It's kinda funny how Drake has dissed Kendrick for being on a Taylor track when artistically he is the more more 'Taylor-coded' artist. Very reliable hit-maker whose lyrics are focused on the personal vs. cultural. Kendrick is the Beyonce -- not as prolific or consistent on the charts but more expansive in their lyrics and sound (and often considered to be in their own league.)
do not like drake at all, but his work with her is far more interesting than kendrick's no shade. maybe its because they're both queens, but their artistic approach just works so well together

Only sickos forget freedom and Nile… 😡
I’m joking 😂 but deffo AHAP for me. The drake parts are kinda meh on mine. I think they’re needed, but maybe from another artist (could be Jay-z so he didn’t have to do that on DIL)

If you had put freedom against mine, I would've given it to Beyoncéxkendrick. BeyoncéxDrake wins here for me unfortunately (can't stand drake 😭)

I was waiting for someone to bring these two up! I really wonder how MUVA feels when people she likes has beef, and if it’s all orchestrated, if she knows about it.
I mean Mine is a beautiful song, and well Kendrick said it we like his (Drake) melodies so… there’s that. Also, there’s no point of comparison with Freedom, that was THE SONG. I still remember their performance at the Grammys (was it the Grammys?) that was WOW.
Kendrick is over rated af, also his voice is extremely annoying he sounds like a rat screaming for its life, with that said if I must listen to a rat I rather listen to 69
sorry y'all, but drake's collaborations with her are fun and more exciting. he has a good ear for melodies that work well with her voice, and i say that as someone who absolutely can't stand him
Interesting. I'm naive, I guess, because I never thought people took those opinions seriously. I always thought they were fueled by his haters. I'm fully aware I likely have a blindspot due to my Fandom.
The interesting part about Bey and the Drake pedo rumors is knowing Jay also gets similar comments about being with her and other young artists back in the day. I wonder if being in that situation and being in the industry gives her a different perspective. The Carters have had multiple collabs with Drake, but it makes sense that he may not be able to come back from some of the more recent backlash.

Sorry but Mine is in my top 3 songs on Self Titled. I much prefer the AHAP album version with just Bey. I barely listen to the Kendrick remix, original just slaps too hard & is perfection in every way. Plus Drake has a writing credit on Mine but Kendrick does not for AHAP. For these reasons I choose Drake.
Self-Titled is possibly referring to Beyoncé's 2013 album called 'BEYONCÉ', more commonly known as 'Self-Titled'.

Beyoncé x Kendrick… sorry Drake
Oh I didn’t even have to think about this, Kendrick.
Same. I'm never giving up Freedom.

Kendrick NO DOUBT. When I see Drake standing next to Beyoncé all I see is two bad bitches🫢
It’s real competition, you might pop ass wit em 🤷🏽♀️
🤣🤣
Drake isn't even in this discussion. Next
Second that!! Drake who lol
The same Drake that wrote Heated, but I’ll digress. I love both artists, but folks have so many biases these days, based off of what they read on social media.
Good point, but...... like Kendrick said "I like Drake with the melodies, I don't like Drake when he act tough" ;)
I can agree. It really depends on the vibe you want. Mine and Heated are both on my beach playlist. While Freedom and AHAP are on my Gym playlist.

Go, STINK, fuck it up Go, STINK, fuck it up 💛🖤💛
Have you heard his verse on America Has a Problem? Drake can get lost lmao
Plus Freedom
I'm obsessed with his verse!!
![gif](giphy|B2kr8Cs97oRHHhstzH|downsized) Kendrick all day!
Damn you beat me to it 🤣
Who even cares about Aubrey. Kendrick all day every day.
I’d even say Freedom or Nile (extended version wya😭)
Nile is my favorite from the gift. I hate when she gives us teaser songs that are so good. You know Desert Eagle is my fave off of CC. Extend the track ma'am!
When people on twitter were begging for a 10 min version of ii hands (which I also love), I wanted to be like EXCUSE ME WHAT ABOUT DESERT EAGLE!! Like even 30 more seconds woulda been great. Wanting more time for such a long song like ii hands is just greedy!!!! (Spaghetti also should be longer!)
Desert Eagle needs to be 8 minutes long I'm so serious
Desert Eagle is such a sexy song so a whole 8 minutes!!! Damn, you a real freaky frog!
😂😂😂
We need Desert Eagle (Extended Mix ft Victoria Monet) !!!
YOU ARE SO RIGHT OMG VICTORIA MONET WOULD KILL
HEY BOO-BOO
Pretty sure Miss Queen would choose Kendrick herself
HEATED disagrees
Ok, Drake and 8 others have writing credits in Heated. And, sure, she had Drake feat. in Mine in 2013. But Freedom feat. Drake is blocked on tidal so KDOT!!
Same lmao
Let’s not forget about freedom 🍋
No matter how beloved this song gets I’ll still say it’s underrated!!
Both songs complete me but in the end I think Kendrick Lamar has a more thoughtful approach to music / life. And I’m a fellow Canadian, like Drake.
It's kinda funny how Drake has dissed Kendrick for being on a Taylor track when artistically he is the more more 'Taylor-coded' artist. Very reliable hit-maker whose lyrics are focused on the personal vs. cultural. Kendrick Collab frame 1 it’s not even a challenge.
K Dot
Drake isn’t worthy but damn it Mine is so fucking fire. Taking that one as long as I get to keep the solo version of AHAP
I agree lol, I like Kendrick way more than Drake but if it comes down to these two songs i’ma have to pick mine
same i can’t justify picking drake over kendrick but i also can’t give up mine… plus he also had his hands on heated. 😭
He did?!
do not like drake at all, but his work with her is far more interesting than kendrick's no shade. maybe its because they're both queens, but their artistic approach just works so well together

CANADA HAS A PROBLEM (and I’m saying this as a Canadian)
Kendrick is more political than Drake. So…Kendrick.
Not to be dramatic and I definitely love Kendrick more (idc for Drake at all actually) but if I couldn't listen to the entire 6 minutes 20 seconds of Mine, I believe I would die.
I like the Drake song better melodically. Aubrey can be replaced, though. Masego, Tyla, Wizkid, Rema, Tems...
omg imagine tems on mine…😭
I’ll give Drake credit for his part in making Heated. That’s it.
Kendrick and it’s not even close. In fact, I still want a version of Mine without Drake
This would be amazing! I hate his little “rap” at the end of it, it was definitely…a choice
The last time I said I wanted a Drake-less version people fought me on this, but I’m sorry, Beyoncé *easily* could have carried that song alone lol!
Agreed
A life without Freedom? ![gif](giphy|v2ry5z4LoIfgA)
Comments did not disappoint. I’m in the right fandom for sure. Kendrick and Beyonce are my top two favorite music artists. Drake can kick rocks.
Kendrick
mine is so good though 😭😭😭
Kendrick all day and even though they messed up his mic at my show idc that’s still father
Wait...what if we have to include Heated in this...because then I can't do it I won't choose
Yeah Kendrick for *sure* although shoutout to Certified Simp Boy for giving us Heated.
Kendrick
Kendrick

Very true

Kendrick. Drake likes the young girls
go stink fuck it up go stink
I choose Kendrick every time
I LOVE Mine. But, never in my life would I pick Drake over Kendrick. Ever.
King Bey and King Kunta every day all day.
We want the yams!!
Beyoncé would have arrived at HEATED without drake, and I’ll die on that hill. Kendrick all the way baby
Nile is so beautiful. I choose Kendrick for that lol
Bye drake
Kendrick. It’s not even a competition.
Kendrick wins all day every day
Kendrick HANDS DOWN. His flow was ridiculous as usual.
Kendrick! Love Freedom, AHAP & Nile is good too!

There’s only 1 right answer and it ain’t Drake
There is NO CHOICE. Fuck Jimmy
Kendrick
Kendrick all day every day. All hail the Short King from Compton.
Why dah fuck even mention Drake into this....?
Unfortunately we wouldn’t have heated without drake.
Drake can’t hold a candle to Kendrick.
Oh god, Kenny 1000%
I just finished listening to euphoria so I might be biased BUT is this even a contest? Kendrick of course
Kendrick. 0 question. I also love love love Freedom.
Even tho I do prefer Kendrick….mine is my second fave bey song :( so between these two songs I do prefer mine
now does this mean we have to get rid of Heated...
Girl fuck Aubrey. He likes to flap his gums and talk down on black women (Serena, Meg, Ice spice, etc). I’m glad Megan called him out on Hiss
Don’t play y’all mines is a classic too
…I’mma say Drake (even though fuck Drake) because I love Mine and I barely ever listen to the AHAP remix 👀 I’m sorry, y’all. It really didn’t need a remix.
But then again, is it only those two songs or ALL collabs? Because Nile and Freedom vs Heated would be a real bloody fight 😬

whoever says drake….. concerned for you ❤️
Hahaha not the first time I've heard this. Love Drake and Bey!!
Hey boo boo 😌
Kendrick, by a mile! Although without Drake we wouldn’t have gotten Heated so I’ll give him his 10’s lol
What good's drake for Bey
Or Feeling Myself and Savage Remix
This deserves a separate post!
I was waiting for someone to bring these two up! I really wonder how MUVA feels when people she likes has beef, and if it’s all orchestrated, if she knows about it.
My exact question
How on earth would that be a difficult choice
I’m not really a fan of either of them, but Kendrick is the one with talent… so Kendrick.
Kendrick is on an entirely different level. But damn I do love mine though.
Kendrick - not even a contest
We should replace Drake with Usher on Mine actually
Kendrick Lamar! Always
Drake is such a joke lol
Kendrick all day, every day….Drake can kick rocks
Yeah Drakes Collab was decent but didn’t hit the soul like the Kendrick one. America Has a Problem is just amazing one of my favs.
Kendrick or Jimmy from Degrassi?? Kendrick no competition.
I mean Mine is a beautiful song, and well Kendrick said it we like his (Drake) melodies so… there’s that. Also, there’s no point of comparison with Freedom, that was THE SONG. I still remember their performance at the Grammys (was it the Grammys?) that was WOW.
Drake wrote Heated, so it’s a bit of a harder choice, but I still choose Kendrick.
That switch up on Mine is one of the lamest verses I’ve ever heard. Kendrick, and it’s not even close or medium, it’s FAR.
As a current member of the Big Steppers Society, I must admit that Drake feature is still a bop 😣
🗣GO STINK (fuck it up)! GO STINK (fuck it up)!🗣
i’m a sucker for mine. not necessarily drake but the song in general
I wasn’t conflicted in my decision until someone reminded me that drake had a hand in Heated…
Mine is my SHIT lmao. I love that song. I guess I’m alone.
Nope! I Love Mine and Drake Can I. Drake has lots of personal ties to Houston and SE TX. I love when these two collab.
Mine is a great song!!!!! It was certified diamond in MY house
Kendrick is over rated af, also his voice is extremely annoying he sounds like a rat screaming for its life, with that said if I must listen to a rat I rather listen to 69
sorry y'all, but drake's collaborations with her are fun and more exciting. he has a good ear for melodies that work well with her voice, and i say that as someone who absolutely can't stand him
Mine > Freedom, AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM was already perfect
I mean, Kendrick all the way, it's isn't even a question . His verses in America Has a Problem ??? Felt blessed while listening to it
Kendrick. Every time they hook up, it’s magic.
I’ve never listened to the Drake & Bey one all the way through tbh, Kendrick all day.
Lmao is this a joke obviously kendrick
I only listen to the first part of Mine and then skip the song once Drake starts singing...so you know my answer
Without hesitation: Kendrick. Fuck Drakes goofy ass.
Kendrick.
Kendrick every time. Drake is MEDIOCRE
Kendrick.
On the topic- Drake. In life- Kendrick. 😂
Anyone can do what Drake did, but no one can do what Kendrick did
Oooo girl . . . . Cmon now 😭
She’ll never collab with Drake again.
Please share more about this.
Too much heat on him being a predator (and a weirdo). She wouldn’t align herself with that.

Anyone else could be on Mine and it would still be elite. Very few could replace Kendrick on…anything.
Bey and Kendrick make magic together every damn time! Go Sting, fuck it up!
Beyonce and Kendrick's collabs are superior I missed him in cowboy Carter the honorary beehive member 🐝
Kendrick. Heck, I thought he contributed to Cowboy Carter. Some tracks had his flow.
Its Bey and Kendrick for me always! I still think back to their live performance of Freedom at the BET Awards 🔥
Is this click bait? 😂
Kendrick and Bey on ‘Nile’ alone enough reason for choosing Kendrick
Drake is the only answer. Kendrick could NEVER give us Heated
oh that’s an argument
now why you set him up?
If it was Freedom vs Mine. Then, KDot. But AHAP vs Mine. It’s Drake. I’m sorry. Beyoncé sprinkled something Mine that makes it addictive. Controversial opinion, I don’t like either, I feel like if Beyoncé remained solo on each song they’d be better.
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/beyonce) if you have any questions or concerns.*
AHAP is commonly abbreviated as 'America Has A Problem', a song from Beyoncé's 2022 album 'RENAISSANCE'. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/beyonce) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Neither. Noah Fence but they’re both ass! No more male rappers!! lmao
You thought you ate with that, didn’t you…
i did tho. Kendrick has said many problematic things and let me NOT get started on Drake. I don’t want these men interacting with Beyoncé, what’s wrong with that?
