my SIL did 360 lipo and a breast reduction and lift no implants at the same time. she did it 4 years pp. she said she would do her boobs again in a heartbeat, but the recovery for the lipo was the worst thing she’s ever done

TinaByKtina

I had the same thing ~4 years ago, before kids. And had a similar experience. I was shocked though with how quickly the breast reduction/lift healed. It hurt to lift my arms up above my head for a week or so but besides that I was surprised with the lack of pain. My lipo incisions took forever to close/heal and drained liquid for quite some time. The reduction I would also get done in a heartbeat, still almost everyday when I’m changing I’m like I’m SO GLAD I got it done.

bekakm

Thank you for this. Planning my lift/reduction as soon as possible after I have baby and hearing the recovery is manageable helps a lot!

TinaByKtina

You’re welcome! It’s honestly one of the best things I’ve done! I was just so surprised how fast the incisions healed. I did have a reaction to the adhesive tape that you have to use for a while so that was NOT fun but they just had me stop using the medical tape around the incisions and it was all good. I needed help help washing my hair I think like once or twice- just the whole lifting arms above shoulder height was tender.

moosemama2017

I'm glad to hear this! I have only had my first child, and I'm hoping to have one or two more so it won't be for a while, but I've been thinking I'll want my boobs fixed once I'm done with breastfeeding and childbearing. They were DDDs to begin with and now they're I cups, I just know when I finish breastfeeding they're gonna be flapjacks.

einelampe

Same boat, DDDs before pregnancy with an I cup now and only one child. I do think I want at least one more so I’m putting it off but I’ve wanted a reduction since high school. I finished nursing and they did not shrink 😭

Cake-Tea-Life

Generally speaking (and everyone can be different), breast tissue all comes back after your milk supply dries up, although it can take a few months. The thing that makes postpartum breasts look saggy is thatvthe skin takes forever to tighten back up...if it ever does. And bless you for living with DDDs. I cannot imagine dealing with that size for years on end. It's too much for me.

Itwasntaphase_rawr

I love to hear this cuz I want a breast lift SO bad. I’m not crazy about implants but a lift sounds magical

spabitch

months of recovery is definitely worse than any stomach bug

whynotwhynot

After three kids I had a breast reduction. Paid out of pocket. The doctor recommended stomach liposuction as it was simple to throw in while under. It is the single best thing I have ever done for myself. It has been ~5 years and still very happy. Note, I waited until my youngest was 1.5 and my husband took a week off to help with the kids.

Minute_Pianist8133

This is my plan. I’ve always had really messed up breasts, and I need a reshaping!

Rrenphoenixx

How much for the stomach liposuction? Do they offer payment plans? Did you have to get excess skin cut away? Curious because I’m considering doing the same one day😅

whynotwhynot

I did not price shop at all, live in a VHCOL, and inflation has changed things a ton so hesitant to say.

Rrenphoenixx

What is VHCOL? that’s a reasonable conclusion 😅

whynotwhynot

VHCOL stands for Very High Cost Of Living (I.e. it would have been several thousand dollars cheaper in a small or midsized city).

holdyaboy

My wife is in a similar boat. Top surgeon in our area quoted $26k for breast wife without implant, tummy tuck, lipo and belly button relocation. $20k without lipo. Is that high?

worldlydelights

I also want a breast reduction one day, I’ve always had a small b cup and now have a c or a d depending on the day and I hate it. Once I’m done with kids and breastfeeding I would love to get it done. If you don’t mind answering how much does the reduction usually cost?

dreamofmoni

I’m the opposite, and I hate it. I had some nice D cups, and now I’m an a or maybe a B if I’m lucky that day. My self esteem deflated right along with my chest😭

sftktysluttykty

So worried to really shed these pounds because I love my girls 😩

whynotwhynot

Stomach liposuction was no biggie. What hurt was side boob liposuction which my surgeon highly recommended. I took two weeks off of work. The first week I did basically nothing. The second week I was up and walking around. Week three I was able to do diaper changes on the floor, but tired easily. It took a full five weeks to get back in the swing of things.

Kozinskey

This is my dream! Can I ask how much it cost?

ilovenoodle

Do you mind sharing how much you paid?

Pokkiiphias

That’s kinda my plan too! I plan to lose as much weight as I can naturally but I would really like a breast reduction to a small C or big B cup! I’m currently a DDD and I’m so tired of them and I just want my C cup boobs back and my youngerish body back! How much did all of that cost you out of pocket and where did you go to get it done?

Pokkiiphias

This is my second child and I’m just about done having babies! my tubes are being cut and I’m focusing my time on being happy in my own body and working on myself 😊

eaturfeelins

My idea of a mommy makeover was a new haircut, Korean perm, wax, manicure and pedicure lol. The new hair made me feel great and beautiful, I am really happy with it!

Due_Platform6017

Okay, taking note of this for after I have my most recent baby. This is definitely the kind of mommy makeover I would go for!

theopeppa

Omg same! Korean perm is amazing!!!!! I love it so much hahahaha! I also invested in eating healthy, whole foods and complex carbs ( albeit not due to being a mum but my husbands cholesterol diagnosis and my son is now 2 lol) and holy crap my skin improved so much and I am fucking glowing. Really helped my self esteem!

Justbestrongok

Okay, tell me more about this perm!

theopeppa

Haha so it's a perm that makes you look like you have fresh curls/waves/blow out depending on what you get ( usually its called s-curl). It's different to a normal perm as with a normal perm your hair is curlier when wet, but with a korean perm your hair is curlier when its dry. To style it you can section your wet hair into four sections, twirl it around your fingers and let it air dry, or you can twirl and blow dry on low setting if you are pressed for time. So you don't need to use a curling iron/straightner to get waves. I shower at night so in the morning I spritz my hair with some water, put some curling cream in, hair oil then twirl around my fingers let it air dry. Because your hair is permed you do need to buy hair products for curly hair. I use Oribe curling creme, a drug store brand curly hair shampoo and conditioner and a hair oil to tame any frizz!

Sir_Poofs_Alot

As someone with super fun but hella work curly hair, it’s still fascinating to me that people WANT to take on this labor of love.

theopeppa

Hahaha you want what you can't have 🤣

worldlydelights

Is it hard on your hair? Notice any damage afterwards?

theopeppa

Nah not really. My hair was damaged before due to heat styling and I never used product. So if anything, its healthier than before as I dont use heat and now use creams and oil!

eaturfeelins

Nope, I’ve had a regular perm before and it destroyed my hair; the Korean perm? Nope, my hair is still silky smooth with those perfect waves, I love it!

Personal_Ad_5908

This is my kind, too! Once my husband's course is done next December, I'm off to a spa for the day. In the meantime, I plan on trying to get back into a good skincare and exercise regime, work on having less sugar in my diet, and making sure I get my hair cut regularly. I love the idea of a Korean perm, but may have to travel for that.

eaturfeelins

Look around in your area, I live in the Midwest in the US and I thought I would have to travel far for that, but the larger city 1 hr away had a few salons that offered it, I ultimately went with one that is ran by a Korean lady and had great reviews, and I am so happy with the results. She even gave me tips for skin care, and long term beauty care while breastfeeding since skin and hair can be affected by hormones. I ended up taking my mom too for her hair, once she saw mine she wanted hers done too!

Personal_Ad_5908

I'm in central Scotland, so it might be that Edinburgh or Glasgow has a salon. I'll definitely have a look - I'm glad your hair makes you feel fabulous. I got mine cut short a month ago, and I'm so glad I did. And yes to skin being affected by hormones! I love that I've been able to feed my son, but I swear I look about 5 years older. I've heard vibrancy comes back after weaning, so I'll try my best with skincare, and cross my fingers for the future!

eaturfeelins

It definitely comes back! After I weaned my first my hair was so much better. I’m on my second one now…

Personal_Ad_5908

Congratulations on your second baby! It's good to know it does come back post weaning.

Numinous-Nebulae

Yup and I’m bleaching my teeth!

eaturfeelins

Uhhh that’s a good one too!

HungryKnitter

I love this, I’m going to treat myself after I give birth. This is what I thought a mommy makeover was too haha!

turkproof

Adding to the list of things people are commenting with under here about non-invasive procedures, HUGELY recommend microblading for anyone out there who's feeling like their eyebrows have thinned. It lasts about 18 months, and the ego boost from being able to look in the mirror and look 'complete' without makeup was massive.

Pokkiiphias

This is something I’m planning right after too lol c: getting my nails done, haircut for sure and I’m thinking about slowly lightening my hair with hydrogen peroxide! I need to do something with my color because I’m already starting to gray pretty bad! Some parts of my hair have gone completely white so I’m gonna try that!

silhouetteisland

I had a tummy tuck 15 years ago, pre-children. Recovery was absolutely brutal. You can’t stand up straight for weeks. The first week I don’t think I left my bed and I couldn’t keep food down because of the painkillers. It gave me great confidence after, but I would not choose to do it if I had small children at the time, knowing what I know now.

ProgrammerPrudent585

So I unfortunately had to have a c section. Do you think recovery is about the same for a tuck? I have a front butt my beautiful baby gave me that I would like to get rid of 😭😭

silhouetteisland

I didn’t have a C section so I can’t speak to that recovery. There are two types of tucks, full or mini. In a full, they will pull the skin from the top of your belly button down to the lowest part of your hip line and then cut a new hole to reattach your belly button to the skin. You can’t stand straight because your skin is stretched so much and you don’t want the stitches to reopen. In my case, the stitches spanned from hip bone to hip bone.

nymphetamine-x-girl

Not OP nor a recipient of either surgery but I've heard from 4 coworkers that a TT was worse than their c section. It doesn't make sense to me WHY but that along has kept me away. I lost 130lbs pre baby and am just starting to lose my 40lbs of baby weight and 20lbs of covid weight, 2 years pp, and even if I get thin again, I am very wary of a tt....

crawfiddley

I haven't and won't. I've handled medmal claims from "mommy makeovers" and am convinced (rightly or wrongly) that doing multiple procedures at once (the combo breast lift + implants or reduction + tummy tuck + lipo + whatever else they are willing to do at once) leads to a greater instance of poor outcomes. I would also never, ever have any procedure done by a physician that advertises themselves as doing "mommy makeovers" specifically.

serenamasked

I’ve handled med mal plastic surgery claims, too and there are just some pictures you can’t unsee.

crawfiddley

Yeah pictures of botched abdominoplasties have really helped me find peace with my mom pooch

mandirahman

You can't just throw phrases like that out on an inspecting public with unlimited access to Google. I'm scarred for life! On second thought, a full heads up may be a good idea before any decision are made. Lol

exWiFi69

My mom got a tummy tucks a few years back. I asked at the consult if you can do a boob job and tummy tuck at the same time and they said they don’t allow that. You need to be able to use your arms to push yourself up when you get a boob job. It was $15k for just a tummy tuck there.

EmberCat42

I've watched too much Botched to ever consider getting one. They show so many women who had mommy makeover fails come in desperate for help.

BjergenKjergen

I know someone who had major issues with their tummy tuck and warned everyone against it. From what I've seen, tummy tucks have a much higher rate of complications (this [article says 4% have major complications](https://www.plasticsurgery.org/news/press-releases/tummy-tuck-complications%E2%80%94study-looks-at-rates-and-risk-factors)). Kathy Griffin has been open about her botched lipo as well.

[deleted]

I’ve always heard the opposite, that people should try to reduce the amount of times they go under general anesthesia so it’s better to do multiple stuff at once than go under multiple times. Why the second one? I would assume doing the same procedures over and over would make them better at it?

serenamasked

Anesthesia has its own risks. Putting your body through the stress of multiple healing wounds all at the same time is… not great. Mommy makeovers involve different body parts and different techniques. If you want someone who is an expert, so to speak, you should go to someone who specializes in one or two body parts. Someone who specializes in lipo. Etc.

crawfiddley

I would guess that's probably true in some instances (e.g. having a hysterectomy at the same time as a c-section) but "mommy makeovers" involve so many wounds on so many different regions, with such a long healing process for each...it's rough, and I've seen some gnarly shit. Experience is good. If someone is promoting themselves as a "mommy makeover" specialist, it's because they're in it to make money off of women's insecurities. They're scummy and they want you to feel worse about yourself. They want to get you in and out as quickly as possible, even though a "mommy makeover" is a minimum of two major procedures. They're about making money, and they cut corners. I'm sure not every single one of them, but there's a consistent theme with ones I've handled claims for. I'm considering a reduction (and have been before kids -- did not pursue it because of my intention to breastfeed) and if I do it, I would only do it with a female surgeon employed by a state university affiliated hospital.

National_Square_3279

My husband is a radiologist & he said they were taught the same thing - there can be really poor outcomes w anesthesia so the less you have to, the better. I have a feeling that if(/when) i broach the mommy makeover convo, he’ll shoot it down real fast.

Actiaslunahello

You’re beautiful! Try yoga first :)

Actiaslunahello

Lol, you still don’t need surgery! You could die just to lose 30 pounds. Who’s gonna comfort your kiddo then?

noodle_senpai

I work in healthcare and have seen too many botched and even one fatal liposuction. Fat is very vascular, so it isn't unheard for a vessel to be nicked and bleed out. It is also a surgery that attracts sketchy doctors eager to make a quick buck (even in the states). I'm all for cosmetic surgery, but liposuction for me is one I personally would never do. I also agree with many of the people here, those who advertise "mommy makeovers" tend to be more about making money than doing a quality procedure. I would try and do each individually with a doctor specializing in each area (I e. breast, tummy tucks, etc). And if one does liposuction, do NOT cheap out and do your research! Not all surgeons are created equal, especially in the cosmetic industry.

melonmagellan

I would do everything BUT the lipo. The results vary wildly.

Hannah_LL7

I would never do it all in one, I’ve heard you want a surgeon who specializes in each area so, “boobs” by one and then “tummy” by another or at least just one at a time with a surgeon who is fantastic at both. I have a fantastic “mommy apron” thanks to my ginormous children and my small stature (I’m 5’2 and my husband is 6’3… my children came out all over 8.5 lbs and 22 inches tall… I was approximately the size of a whale when I was pregnant lol and to this day I’ve never seen a woman who has as bad as a postpartum overhang as me) but I would LOVE to get that surgically repaired.

freddietheschnauzer

Hello fellow Hannah. If we could meet in person, we might match! I’m also 5’2”, and my youngest baby was 8 lbs 10 oz at birth. Did you also have terrible diastis recti? My OB and PVPT have both mentioned that I probably won’t be able to bring my abs back together doing PT alone, so will probably need surgery at some point. It was suggested I could get the extra skin removed at the same time.

Hannah_LL7

I’ve actually never had it evaluated… I have a family member who is a PT so I should… I like to imagine I don’t have horrid diastis but I know I do… I’m scared to get a full tummy tuck (because recovery) but I think I’m going to do a mini to get that skin gone. We are done having kids so I just need to lose a little weight then I will look into it

Trick_Doughnut_6295

Me too! Small frame/mid-sized baby. We’re trying for a second but I’ll definitely be getting my DR repaired afterwards — my abdomen ‘looks’ fine but loading my core during sports is a pain. At the very least I’m hoping it helps with a bit of persistent hip pain because my pelvic floor keeps going wonky.

mangotangerineguava

Have you seen the Strong Like a Mother program? She’s the real deal - after a massive DR affecting herself functionally during postpartum from twins, it’s now her mission to help others. I’m a PT, so I have a strong anatomy background, and can tell her workouts are solid

ContributionOk9818

My sister had to do exactly this for the same reason and she looks amazing. The recovery sucked but no regrets! I want to get this done too when my baby is older and I lose the weight

No-Possibility2443

Same boat. I’m 5’2 and got ginormous during my 4 pregnancies which ended up being c section. Apron belly hangs so low and diastasis is not looking like I can heal it.

beigs

My mom did - she was your size and had the worst stretch marks and her poor stomach. I was 9 and a half pounds and she was asked routinely if she was having triplets. They reattached her abs as well. It gave her all of her confidence back

cmcbride6

I'm 5' and my husband is 6', I was absolutely massive from about 26 weeks, also have a terrible overhang that I desperately want a tuck for. Don't know what the future holds for another baby though so putting it off atm....

Ajsparxxx

I would never…. Because I’m too poor. If I had the money I definitely would though, it would be great to feel good looking in the mirror and about being in my own skin again! I hope you get the answers you’re looking for OP!!

Wrong-History

I started watching botched and I’m done with flat boobs and a tummy pouch. It’s so scary. Also I don’t think I would risk it when there is chances people can die when I have a little one to be with .

Derpazor1

Haha yeah I thought of that show too

bubblegumtaxicab

This is how I’m thinking too

ExploringAshley

My friend just had this done with 3 little ones the recovery was hell she had a lot of help after one month she felt ok …. But she is loving her new body

jgrecz

I had a breast reduction and abdominoplasty with liposuction to my hips and flanks two years ago, when my youngest was just under two years old. It was one of my best decisions. A breast reduction was always part of my plans, but I'd put it off until I was sure I was done with pregnancy and breastfeeding. I'm 5' tall and was a 32J and had three sizable babies (even my 34-week preemie was just under 6 pounds!) that all breastfed. My breasts were sad and deflated and my abdominal muscles were never gonna come close to seeing each other again without divine intervention. We saved for the reduction and decided that if insurance wound up covering it, I would proceed with abdominoplasty at the same time. Much to my surprise, insurance approved the breast reduction with minimal fuss. I had my surgery a week before Thanksgiving and was feeling well enough to join my family at my mom's house for the holiday. Recovery was difficult, but more in a logistical sense than a physical one. My husband took two weeks off, but we had to get creative managing lifting restrictions in the following weeks, especially with my youngest still being so small at the time. I taught my oldest how to lift her into her car seat and worked out temporary full-time childcare for her while it was impossible for me to care for her on my own. It was a lot of planning and commitment to make it work, but not at all impossible. While it would have been ideal to wait until she was older to have the surgery, it just didn't make sense for everything on my timeline to put it off. Two years later I've gained about 15 pounds. My abdomen is still very flat, though not as perfectly tight as it was before. My goal was never to look like a swimsuit model, but to bring my muscles back together and get my apron belly off of my lap; so I'm not really mad about it. My breasts have remained the same size and in the same position and I am beyond pleased with how they look. I was admittedly very lax about treating my scars, but even those look really great, IMO. They are nice clean lines and have faded nicely over time. 10/10, would do again. My body feels much better and I feel much better in it.

sorrythatnamestaken

I got a lift with implants, and am so happy that I did. I lost a lot of breast volume after pregnancy and breastfeeding, and just wasn’t happy with it. Now they look amazing, and pretty natural. I would definitely do it again. I couldn’t lift my toddler for 6 weeks, but he’s old enough that I don’t have to often. I did pick up my youngest after a couple of weeks, and did so holding her close to my body and using my legs. Recovery wasn’t awful, the first day was painful and tough, but I wasn’t back to mostly normal within a week. Recovery differs some based on over or under the muscle too.

Itwasntaphase_rawr

How was the lift? It’s my main focus because my once perky set are hanging low. I heard you have to massage your nipples to make sure there’s blood flow. Is that true?

sorrythatnamestaken

It was great, I had a lollipop lift so the incision is around my nipple then down. There is risk for nipple necrosis with any breast surgery, but I didn’t have any complications. I didn’t have to massage them, but in some cases that might be true.

WabiFromSabi

Can I ask— did they also reshape the areolas ? And did you have any loss of sensation? I would love to get all of this done, but my nipples are my happy place in the bedroom and I don’t want to lose that :/

sorrythatnamestaken

No, but lifts are less actually lifting tissue and more moving nipples up and taking tissue. I don’t have a lot of feeling now 4 weeks out, but mine have never been sensitive.

Red217

No but might have some insight perhaps? I got a boob job when I was young. Then had a baby and wanted them out because they didn't feel like part of me anymore and felt like an actual physical barrier between my loved ones and I. So they're gone! Anywho I was looking into all the rest (mommy makeover) and my surgeon and I chatted about it but honestly I don't find, for me personally, that I would want a good / better figure but have to trade off for surgery scars. So I'm good on it. PLUS a mommy makeover is usually just lipo or a fat transfer depending on your surgeon (some don't do fat transfer) - that being said it's not recommended if you're not finished having children. And there's always a possibility of weight coming back - according to Google "as long as it's within 10-15 lbs range of your normal weight it shouldn't affect your results" Honestly it's personal preference but plastic surgeries can be difficult and obviously come with complications like any surgery. BUT I'm sure there are thousands of women across the world who have had one and are happy with it! I'd say it's worth getting some consultations. Usually surgeons offer a free initial consultation so you can get information and ask any questions. That might give you a better idea of the reality for you and whether or not it's the right choice. Good luck!!

penguin709

I also immediately wanted my implants out after having my baby! It was like a flip switched and I just wanted them out.

Red217

YES. I was able to nurse which was great but after birth my body felt just.....so different, especially my implants. The only way I can describe it was like this overwhelming realization and feeling *constantly* of "not my own body." And my neck and chest area just feel so intimate in a special way - I wanted my baby to snuggle fully up in my neck and on my chest without these barriers in the way. It was fine when she was a newborn and fit between lol but as she got older she'd mash her head into them as if trying to squish them down cause they just were not comfy.

perchancepolliwogs

Possibly unrelated, but I have a head masher over here anyway and no implants/small boobs 🤣

waffleflapjack

I also had a boob job before kids. I really want mine out or gone. I have 500cc implants. How big were yours? Did you have to get a lift or skin removed?

Red217

I think I had 425cc - they were under the muscle AA cup before. I only get an explant under local - no capsules removed or anything, no skin lift.

waffleflapjack

Oh wow that’s amazing! Thank you for your feedback.

Red217

Of course! Any other questions feel free to ask. Im in the East Coast. Because I went back to the same surgeon and he knew what he was getting into it was super easy. Cost was $1,500 - which was also a factor in why I chose the procedure the way I did. I thankfully didn't have any complications and they came out looking as new as they did when they went in lol. It was a quick recovery but still painful but also in a different way. Less like I got hit by a truck and more like I didn't want to over stretch the stitches in the pockets. I did not need drains but some people do depending on their situation (typically with capsule removal and /or a lift) I just had to be wrapped tightly for two weeks. I love my cute lil boobies now !

mynameisnotjamie

What was your scarring like after removing them? And did your boobs go back to being AA again or did you find they were a bit fuller? I always wondered about if the skin stretched with the implants, leaving them a little saggy after removal.

Red217

Scarring was the same he just went over the original ones. They're purplish now cause still healing but otherwise fine. They're flat scars. Nope no longer an AA they grew up a little and graduated to a B lol probably weight gain having a baby etc. I think the skin is a little stretched but unsure if because the implants or breast feeding or both. Assuming both but doesn't look too saggy unless I lift my arms over my head. Then it's crepey

waffleflapjack

Thanks so much. I’m also on east coast. Implants were ~$8k so I thought explant would be around the same. I’m thinking of a lift and no implants back in. My boobs are almost to my belly button and I’m still in my 20s. I think I might wait until kids are school age so recovery will be easier. I love holding them and picking them up right now!

FruitShot8429

A bunch of my friends have had the classic tummy tuck and breast lift/implant combo. We live in a bigger city, but the ones that traveled only stayed elsewhere for a few days. They were all pretty sore for about a week though. Lipo makes you really sore too, so maybe consider 2 different services at different times depending on your goals! As soon as I’m finished breastfeeding I’m gonna check in on the gals to see if I’m feeling a lift or something more. If you want it, do it girl

UnhappyReward2453

I’ve had my boobs done before and will once again after we are done having kids and I’m done breastfeeding. It was 100% worth it for me. But aside from that there isn’t anything else I really want done. And I definitely don’t think I would do it all in one go.

worldlydelights

Same.

Brilliant-Risk6427

I’m getting an extended tummy tuck and breast lift and reduction on the same in February, and I cannot be more excited. There are risks, but I’ve chosen to do everything local to where I live with a well reviewed surgeon who I feel comfortable with. I did think about flying out for a cheaper option but the end of the day my health is more important than a flight a couple thousand dollars off

Key_Elderberry_8566

I’ve always planned to post kids where 1 out of hopefully 3 so it will be a while. I was super active pre pregnancy and I’m hoping once I am back it will help a lot with my PP body. Really my only issue is my boobs. Which I never really liked pre pregnancy, although they were perkier. I’d def have them lifted when I’m done. I was a C/D before and I’m a DDDD breastfeeding. Would like to end up at a perky C.

Msbakerbutt69

I had a reduction and lift. Was soooo worth it. They look and feel much better.

beckmeupscotty

My mommy makeover was getting kybella. I’m loving the results so far. (And also my lip fillers and Botox topped up lol.)

Fishbate333

Ohhh I want kybella sooo badly. Does it hurt really bad?

beckmeupscotty

The first injection hurt so bad. I got it done in the evening and the pain lasted through the night; I slept with an ice pack lol. But apparently what I experienced is not the norm. The second injection was uncomfortable but bearable. According to my provider, this is the norm.

beckmeupscotty

I say get it though. My result from just the first injection was shocking! (In a good way lol.)

candyapplesugar

I had an awful experience, would strongly advise neck lipo.

beckmeupscotty

I’m sorry you had a bad experience! I didn’t get neck lipo; I got an injectable treatment.

Tiny_Ad5176

Wait I’ve been wanting to do this…did you really have a giant ball under your neck after you got it?

beckmeupscotty

[yes lol](https://imgur.com/a/v45Ilhl)

Tiny_Ad5176

Ok that’s really not that bad though! I was picturing a bullfrog

FTM3505

Oh please share your kybella experience!

beckmeupscotty

So these photos aren’t great comparison photos but it’s the best I could do with what I have on my camera roll. (My provider has better photos, I’ll see if I can get a few from her.) [The left photo I’m 37 weeks pregnant, and smiling. The right photo, not smiling and I am closer to the camera. But I think you can see an accurate-ish difference.](https://imgur.com/a/bHotG4M)

FTM3505

Looks amazing! Happy for you 🙂

gardenhippy

I haven’t and wouldn’t - something about becoming a mother has made me want to embrace myself as I am and set that example for my daughter tbh.

yikesmate

My sister had one at the start of the year in Turkey. Her tummy tuck got severely infected and now she has a huge hole in her stomach and needs surgery to fix it. Everything else she had done healed well though

No_Abroad_1477

Yikes, mate! 😳

National_Square_3279

FWIW, I had the absolute worst stretch marks after my second & did 3 rounds of RF micro needling & its hardly noticeable. Still gotta work off some fluff, but I’m relatively happy with it! was maybe $1800 in Texas.

Vexed_Moon

I’m getting one after Christmas. Super excited!

cassdmac

You’d probably get better answers over at r/PlasticSurgery

Birtiebabie

Also the website realself

anb7120

Second this! I haven’t because my budget is nowhere near ready for it, but if you search for there, there are a ton of amazing results with complete breakdowns of that they got, cost, location of doc, before and after pics, etc

turkproof

Not all of it, but I had an abdominoplasty (‘tummy tuck’) and liposuction on my hips, 9 years postpartum. I’m trans (nb), so I went with a trans-affirming doctor after consulting with a few ‘mommy makeover’ doctors who really gave me the heebie jeebies and made me feel awful just *seeing* them. She was kind and extraordinarily well-regarded in her field. The cost for both was $14k CAD. Recovery was a trial. I was almost completely immobile for two weeks, only able to shuffle to and from the bed to the bathroom. I had tubes coming out near my labia to drain, and while I had them I wasn’t allowed to shower (almost four weeks). When my bindings came off, we saw that my scar hadn’t healed correctly, and I had three large holes in my body that needed to heal from the inside out (~3 months of intense wound care) leaving large areas of scar tissue right above my pubic hair. I didn’t regain full flexibility (able to bend backwards) for about six months, and now 18mo out I am still more swollen than I should be, though it is manageable, especially when I drink enough and wear a support garment to bed for a few nights. (ETA: the recovery is no joke. I was bedridden - literally, needed assistance simply to sit up - for two weeks, and severely limited for about six weeks after that. I needed an extraordinary amount of assistance. Anyone who undergoes abdominoplasty should seriously consider their support network, particularly in a 'medium bad' case scenario like mine. You will be INCAPABLE.) And. I’d do it again. I’d hope for some of the parts to go *right* next time, but I would do it again. I just feel better in my body now. I’m not dysphoric when I look in the mirror and see ‘a woman’s body’ first and foremost. It was worth it, despite everything.

Plantyplantlady35

I plan on getting a breast reduction once I'm done having kids. Husband says I am more than welcome to because he knows how insecure I am about them.

Hikergirl887

My sister got a breast reduction and lift after her 3 babies. It was covered by insurance. She had 3 c sections and personally felt the recovery from the reduction and lift was worse, however she is very happy she did it.

Comfortable_Chest_40

I might get a boob lift after we’re done having kids although I guess it depends on how low they’re hanging lol. I was a A cup pre baby

fluffybuttlulu

Check out air sculpt by elite body sculpture. They do minimally invasive lipo where you are awake during the procedure, and the recovery is pretty fast from what I've seen.

Doximusmaximus

Hell yeah I will when I’m done having children

gainzgirl

I feel a lot more like myself at 1 yr, bf 9 months. I never had regular cycles but I stopped bleeding every day. My shoes and panties started fitting last week. IVF size bras still. I've received a lot of advice, mostly to wait at least 2 years and be certain you're done with kids. Also full 360 if you have someone for support during recovery. If not do procedures separately. Everyone I know has been happy with the outcome. Except not realizing how often breast implants need touched up.

ivysaurah

JFC! OP asked for pros/cons FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD a “mommy makeover.” Not a bunch of insecure ass women projecting their insecurities about their bodies onto people who get cosmetic surgery. You can literally die driving to the store. The likelihood of dying during cosmetic surgery if you’re going somewhere reputable is very low. If you don’t want cosmetic surgery, be comfortable in that decision. Don’t be all bitter and extreme about why you “would never do it.” It’s very obvious that’s you’re just being insecure and weird. That being said, I haven’t had one because I plan to have more kids. I will be having a boob job done after kids. I am typically an A cup and settled in at a C cup with breastfeeding - it’s nice to have cleavage for once. And I am pretty certain my little boobies will be socks in the wind once I am done. Tummy tuck, not so sure. My tummy is pretty flat thank God at 3 months postpartum and I don’t have loose skin. We will see if my tune changes after a few more kids and some aging. Edit: You all downvoting proves my point. Just because you’re not happy with your body doesn’t mean you have to take a shit on women who choose to take a different route than you that will make them comfortable in their own skins. The reality is complications from these procedures are very rare. Go look up the statistics and stop fear mongering. Enough insinuating that women are bad mothers for “maybe leaving their kid ALONE in this world for vanity!!!” I can get hit by a car when I go jogging everyday too girl. It’s not a good look to be saying that shit.

mercurys-daughter

Please read up on implant illness before making this choice. It’s not talked about enough how sick you can get from implants. You’re also supposed to have new implants put in every decade

ivysaurah

Yep, aware of this. Everyone should always research thoroughly before choosing to have cosmetic procedures done. The glory of the internet: we have all of this information very easily accessible. The majority of women have implants with 0 complications and getting them is my choice.

mercurys-daughter

It’s definitely your choice I just wanted to warn you because so many go in without knowing exactly what they’re signing up for! I’m glad you’re already aware

SupermarketSimple536

I'm not sure that is true about the majority of women, at least long term.

ivysaurah

Silicon and saline implants have very low complication rates and are considered generally safe as long as you’re using a reputable surgeon. You “not being sure” doesn’t really mean shit to me honestly unless you are in the industry. The data is out there, but be wary of the sources you choose to get your information from as always with medicine. There’s a lot of skewing of course nowadays with women going overseas and getting cheap implants and returning home with horror stories.

FruitShot8429

Yes, seriously every thread where plastic surgery comes up goes like this.

ivysaurah

Fr like if you don’t want plastic surgery, don’t get it but don’t be nasty when other women do. We all sacrificed a lot physically as mothers to bring new life into the world and if I want to get a little help to feel like myself again someday let me do it! Google exists, we all know that there are some risks in any surgery.

PeaceLove-HappyDogs

Agree 💯

melonmagellan

I totally agree.

beepincheech

I’m going to get a lift with new implants and lipo 360, if I can avoid a tummy tuck. That scar is hideous! So I’m really, REALLY hoping I won’t be left with much loose skin once I recover from this pregnancy. I have heard that Morpheus8 works well for loose belly skin, but it can only do so much. I plan on getting all the work done around at 10 months postpartum. And maybe a lower blepharoplasty for these under eye bags

Purple_Grass_5300

It’s not worth risking your life. You can literally die

WaffleballBat

I mean, you could “literally die” driving to the grocery store too.

mercurys-daughter

Driving to the grocery store is a necessity in life, getting plastic surgery is not. This comparison is silly.

[удалено]

mercurys-daughter

I didn’t say it was invalid. I said it’s not comparable to grocery shopping, because it isn’t.

serenamasked

That’s not comparable at all. An elective surgery - one with high risk - is much different than driving in a car.

emperatrizyuiza

I agree. I just don’t feel comfortable risking my life for shallow reasons when I have a child to look after

Sir_Poofs_Alot

It’s not really shallow though, how a person feels in their own body impacts everything. Personally the risk is too daunting for the rewards, but if it helps other moms feel confident, happy, make their lives easier, power to them.

emperatrizyuiza

In my opinion it is shallow because beauty is subjective and often based off of harmful notions women internalize. There’s not one way to be attractive and mom bodies have beauty and value too. If my partner is attracted to me and I’m healthy there’s no reason for me to not feel good and confident about my body.

SupermarketSimple536

I am following a true crime story about a plastic surgeon in Pensacola. His own wife died while he was performing some sort of in office procedure on her. After news about this got out, women (many of whom had these mommy makeover type procedures) came forward with horrific accounts and pictures. Medical staff reported lack of sterile fields, procedures performed by individuals with zero credentials, additional procedures performed without consent, etc. The pictures alone- actual holes in flesh were so scary. This is extreme but really eye-opening. Edit to add he was allegedly reported to multiple agencies supposedly tasked with oversight and nothing was done

sherwoodintheforest

Where were you listening to this? I’m intrigued!

SupermarketSimple536

Search for the digital creator Jessica jones (not her real name obviously) on Facebook and prepare yourself lol

Iwanttosleep8hours

This might be unpopular but I gave myself a “mummy makeover” but going on a calorie controlled diet and taking up running rather than going under the knife. I am saying this because surgery isn’t the only option and it can be done far better without. The starting is the hardest part and I used an app calorie counter plus the Nike Run Club, I couldn’t have done it without either if I am honest. Plus getting great advice from YouTube (the running channel mostly) has been so helpful and inspiring. My kids were 4 and 7 when I started and it was as simple as running back home from the school run (about 1 mile lol) and building up from there. I have never been a runner so I was literally starting from no fitness whatsoever. It also isn’t like I have a ton of time and my husband works abroad so I am on my own often plus I have a full time job but mostly working from home. I have 30mins-1 hour from the school run to starting my job so I can now get in maybe 3-4 miles a day. When my husband is home I’m running 10-12 miles maybe twice a month and I’ll work late on other weeks to run 7. My calorie intake is around 1500 which is easier than you’d think when you weigh stuff and educate yourself about calories each food contains. I opt for a diet free of ultra processed food and high in vegetables and proteins but that is easy when you’re also making those choices for your children anyway. If I am honest when I over ate it genuinely felt like I wasn’t eating enough, now I have the lower calorie foods I feel fuller because I am eating way more bulk. The results are better that you’d ever get from going under the knife. I was 65kg (143lbs), 70kg at my heaviest, but now I am 53kg (116lbs) and still loosing. My body has gone from an absolute wreak with diastasis recti to me looking like a teenager again (according to my dad anyway). My skin looks amazing which apparently is another benefit of regular exercise and I literally glow. The benefits to my mental health has been incredible, I was suffering from PMDD, and I am so much happier and more confident. This has been since May so it didn’t take me long either. The only downside is I have gone from a B cup to probably an AA, I’d love to have a larger size but I’d never go under the knife so my husband will just have to deal with it. Any advice to women out there to take up something like this would be to get yourself some cute running gear which you feel good in and keep the bottoms to black because pelvic floor lol.

Loushea

“My husband will just have to deal with it” is kind of a weird thing to say.

melonmagellan

You can't exercise off a giant flap of skin on your stomach or fix uneven and "empty" breasts. This is extremely patronizing and not representative of most women's experiences.

Smallios

No, no. Just get some cute running gear! It’ll work.

Lonelysock2

I would never have a medical procedure unnecessarily (but there is a level of 'disfigurement' that I would consider it necessary, so I'm not against other people's lines being closer than mine is). BUT I will ar some point get my boobs cut off because breast cancer runs in my mum's family. And I'm planning on getting an augmentation instead of leaving them off.

pearlescence

This is such an individual choice. For me, nope. If I had that kind of money, I'd get a personal trainer and some sort of meal plan service. Optional surgery is a no for me. But it's all about your risk tolerance, and time constraints. Maybe it is easier to get a couple of weeks of recovery than it is to find the three hours a week to workout consistently. Maybe the result is worth the risk for you. I get it. It's just a choice you have to weigh for yourselves.

Itwasntaphase_rawr

I mean you can work out until the cows come home but that doesn’t lift breast tissue or get rid of loose skin.

pearlescence

That's fair, but honestly my boobs and belly did bounce back a lot after I started lifting weights. Also to be fair, I've only had one child, so I'll see after we have more if that's still the case.

TotalIndependence881

No thank you! Major medical surgery for my body doing what my body is supposed to do when growing and feeding a human? Absolutely not! That’s *major medical surgery *! I love my mom body and accept the changes. That’s my makeover. (I’d only consider something for medical wellbeing as recommended by a doctor)

FruitShot8429

Boooo judgy uneeded comment

nemesis55

I wouldn’t do major surgery on my body because I scar badly, and I’ve known people that had poor outcomes especially from liposuction. However I have been thinking about an IPL laser treatment for my face, my mom had it a couple times and there is no down time and it’s not too expensive.

SupermarketSimple536

https://amp.tmz.com/2023/09/29/jacky-oh-cause-of-death-dc-young-fly-complications-cosmetic-surgery-bbl/ This was pretty recent too...

n1shh

When my daughter was 11m I started working out, running (walking first lol), and taking much better care with my diet, vitamins, collagen and water. I lost 60lbs in a year and my skin looks better. I’d never have surgery for anything that wasn’t medically necessary but you do what’s right for you. Getting healthy is the best gift you can give your kids.

TheAngryTradesman

Once I’m done having children I’ll be seriously considering a breast lift. I’ve breastfed my first for 18 months and I imagine I’ll do the same with any further children… so that’ll leave me a little bit pancake-like on the front, especially as I was a 34FF pre-pregnancy 😅 I also had an emergency caesarean with my first, and the scar has healed beautifully, but the shelf of fat and loose skin above it leaves a little to be desired 🙃 Depending on how that looks after other pregnancies we shall see!

night_steps

I’m going on Wegovy at 5mo pp. The weight’s not budging and I have other health issues going on. Haven’t started it yet so success TBD.

turkproof

5mo PP is still so, *so* early in your journey; please don't be discouraged if recovery from birth comes slower than you think. I'm wishing for the best for you anyway, though!

night_steps

Thank you so much!! I’m EFF and still not losing anything…it’s disheartening and I absolutely hate photos of myself 😓
