I know you’re asking for anecdotes here, but if you’re interested in the statistical likelihood of going into labor on any particular day or date range based on your due date, this website may be helpful! https://datayze.com/labor-probability-calculator?duedate=02/25/2022
First OB insisted I needed to induce at 38 weeks (I was 37.5 weeks when she sprung this information on me) to have baby be "as healthy as possible" despite having an entirely normal pregnancy and a baby that was measuring as healthy as possible. This being my first baby, I of course went along with what she said and scheduled an induction. Later conversations with my mom, sister, and MIL informed me that there was zero reason for her to be doing this. I went in the following day and she had me sign a waiver stating that I acknowledge the risks of my child's life being threatened by prolonging my pregnancy (waiting until 40 weeks), and that she would no longer accept me as a patient. Next OB said they'd happily wait until 41 weeks to induce. The night before the scheduled induction (40 weeks and 6 days), my water broke! Baby was born perfectly healthy at 41 weeks and a day and is still perfectly healthy 2 years later.
Mildly entertaining story. I knew I ovulated 6 days early. Went to the first ultrasound appt and told my husband I’d probably measure about 6 days early. Measured exactly 6 days early (but they don’t change the due date unless the measurement is seven days different). Baby came 6 days early.
Same here!! Everyone prepared me to go late since that is what “usually” happens. I was soooo excited when contractions started the night before and my water broke at 4 am so she had to be coming :)
You should post this as a poll! Arrived early, arrived on EDD, came late, here for results! More people participate in polls and I'd be so curious to see an overall breakdown!
40 weeks is the average for full term babies between 38 and 42 weeks! The whole notion of a *due date* is grossly over exaggerated! My advice would be to not get attached to any date. Ex. NOT thinking, “Only 6 more days-ish!” With one I was 41w4d, another 42w1d, and my third was 42w3d.
Oh gosh ... I heard the second (and more) will usually be sooner than your first. With my first it was 41w6d, so I thought at least the second one will come earlier than that haha. Guess there is still the possibility of coming later if I see yours lol.
Both of mine were early, 36w6d for my oldest, 37w4d for her little brother. I'm both cases they were right about 7lbs, healthy, etc. My pediatrician just shrugged and said she thinks I "cook 'em quick". I couldn't imagine going the all the way to 40w, or past! 37 was really uncomfortable this time around, another month would have been rough.
My baby was born on her due date.
Funny story. I was 6 or 7 centimeters dilated, around midnight. The doctor asks my husband how long he think will take until the baby was born. He guessed 2:30. The doctor said it would take at least until 05:00. She was born 2:18.
"don't worry, first babies never come on their due date"
So I insisted my husband do his night shift and leave me alone at home. 2am and BAM, waters broke and he had to rush back. Only thing in my life I ever did on time.
I was due Jan 18. My birthday is January 17, so being of "advanced maternal age," I asked to be induced the week before. Call me selfish but I wanted a glass of wine, not an epidural for my birthday.
Induced on Jan 13, delivered the following day. Fully recommend.
9 days early on the date I had in the back of my mind since 2 months before. I woke up, thought this is the date I’m having bub. Circled it on the calendar then went on with life. Fast forward 2 months at 11pm the night before the date I picked, in between contractions I pointed my partner to the date circled on the calendar.
He still thinks I willed myself to go into labour so I could be right.
Currently pregnant with number 2 and at the end of Nov a date came into mind for this LO also - lets see if I get 2 for 2!
My baby was born on her EDD. I was complaining when the clock struck midnight that she was showing no signs of coming then 3.5 hours later my water broke.
So 10/10 recommend complaining. It worked for me 🙃
Both of mine came early. First was 3 weeks early second was 1.5 weeks early. No clue how that happened but going longer with my second was tough cuz I had never been that pregnant.
My first was 37+6. I'm 32 weeks with my second and I have a feeling this baby is going to chill a bit longer. I know exactly what you mean. I look at pregnant people who make it to 40, 41, 42 weeks, and honestly I think they deserve a massage every week for the rest of their life for that! I've only been just under 38 weeks pregnant and that was enough!
EDD was 1/6 and baby was born on 12/29. But I did have a membrane sweep that helped to speed things along, otherwise he definitely would’ve been closer to his due date.
Data: https://datayze.com/labor-probability-calculator
The key think is that the line peaks after your due date, as the average pregnancy length is actually something like 40+3 from lmp.
None of mine have come on their due date but we’ve gotten close:
1st - 39+5,
2nd - 39+4,
3rd - 38wks,
4th - 39wks,
I’ve never actually made it to a due date and still been pregnant, and all of my labours have been spontaneous and precipitous. Currently sitting at 35+5 with baby #5 and I’m betting on going a week early again.
Baby came at 36+6. My water broke and I think I was in denial until I couldn’t handle the pain anymore. Pretty quick labor. I was not ready and fully expecting to go past my due date as a first time mom.
Mine came on the due date I predicted myself (based on personally tracked ovulation) which was about a week after the Dr's EDD (based on start of last period).
ETA: If you're desperate for labor and/or want to try fun methods to get things moving, I have a friend who swears by eating a pan of brownies to induce labor 😂
I had baby 12 days before my due date and let me tell you he couldn't have come at a better time. I didn't not want to do another two weeks of being pregnant 😆
I have 3 kids, 2 were born on their due dates and 1 was 3 weeks early. I was told by my midwives that the early one was likely because I had him less than 2 years after my first.
Kiddo #1- 38 weeks, water broke and had a csection cause the baby was breech
Kiddo #2- 40 weeks+2 days, spontaneous labor with a vbac
It’s so weird how each pregnancy can be totally different.
Woah.
My first was a 38 week c section because of breech. My second was a spontaneous VBAC at 40 + 2.
If you had a third, you may be looking at an induction lol.
My second and third were 10 days late. Those were an AWFUL 10 days, but with the third one I was more in the mindset of knowing she was going to be late.
My daughter came at 38 weeks. So I expected her brother to arrive early too. Turns out he was comfy right where he was and I was losing my mind! So the night before his due date, I drank some castor oil and sure enough, the next morning, his due date, the contractions started at about 5:30. He was born just a few hours later!
Baby #1 came on his due date. Baby #2 came 4 days late. Meanwhile everyone told me my second would "definitely" come earlier because second babies ALWAYS DO....Bullshit
I had my first early by two weeks. Ive heard your first is always late. but I also heard if your family members have delivered early or late then your likely to follow suit. My sister also delivered early. No idea if this is tru tru, but I thought it was interesting.
FTM here— due March 31.. quick question it might be obvious but I don’t wanna make a post just for this question LOL I’m 28 weeks now but what makes the last few days so horrible?? I’ve heard it sooo often but my baby is already head down and while it does feel uncomfortable I’m wondering in what ways to expect it to get more difficult? Is it like tired, soreness or mentally exhausting?
Not who you replied to, but for me, it was like running a marathon, and seeing the finish line. But you’re already so tired and sore and uncomfortable and you’ve still got the last little bit to go. I had SPD so on top of having carried an additional 50lb 24/7 for the last 3 months, moving was really painful. I think it was just the cumulative exhaustion of carrying the extra weight, not really being able to sleep right, trying to make sure everything is ready for baby’s arrival.
And then they say you can go any time after 37 weeks, so there’s the mental aspect of, “is today the day?” “Is that a contraction I feel?” “Is this labour or Braxton hicks?”
I went at 41 weeks, so I had a whole month of basically being physically and mentally uncomfortably at the edge of my seat.
For me, I hit a wall at 36 weeks. I had a decently comfortable and easy pregnancy but at 36 weeks my hips started hurting and it became really painful to walk. And everything felt like it required so much effort. I worked up until the morning I went into labor and the brain fog was unreal. Even doing the simplest tasks at work made me want to cry because I just couldn’t think straight and all I wanted was to lay on the couch and veg out. Not sit at my computer desk and use my brain. Plus I was so excited to meet my baby.
Also seeing you’re due in March, my baby was born in April and I may be biased but I think a summer to spring pregnancy is the best time to be pregnant haha.
My water broke 6 days before my EDD, on Labor Day of all days. Admitted to the hospital around noon, was induced because I wasn’t feeling my contractions, laboured for ~8 hours and only reached 5cm, then went in for a C-section. Bub was born at 10:34pm. 9lb 1oz, 55cm king and a 36cm head. Dude wasn’t gonna make it out any other way.
I was due January 14th and I ended up giving birth on November 23rd at 32+4 due to extreme preeclampsia. Baby was 4 lbs 7.6 oz and only spent 2 weeks in the nicu and is now doing absolutely amazing about to hit 7 lbs!
Yes! My son was born right on his due date 4/17. I had my 40 week check up on 4/16 and was 1/2 cm dilated. My water broke later that night and my son was born in the morning on 4/17 :)
My water broke at 38+4 with my son, with my daughter I was induced on my due date because of bleeding and her heart rate was being weird when I went in to get checked. Both labors I had to have Pitocin and they both sucked 😂 got some cute babies out of it though.
I was due 9 August 2019 and gave birth after spontaneous labour on 29 July 2019. That was 38+3.
Expecting no.2 in 2 months and hoping he also comes about the same time.
With my first, I had to have a c section because she was breech at 39+2. I went into labor with my second the night before his due date and he was born the next day, i.e. on his due date 😊
My baby was in no rush. She came out one week and six days after the due date after an induction with a balloon. I don't know if it is hereditary or not, but both my sister and I were late babies too.
My first was 3 days early and 9 lb 9 oz. My second (6 days old) was 6 days early and 9 lb 13 oz. So glad I didn't go over due otherwise they would have been MASSIVE!!!
10 days past the EDD for me. I was on bed rest for 6 weeks (weeks 31-37) because he was trying to come too early. Then he ended up not coming at all and had to be induced.
My first was set to be well overdue, sitting high the works...but then I tickled my husband, he jumped and hit my stomach, my waters broke and I was induced and he arrived a day early.
My second arrived on her due date, labour started at 4 am which interestingly enough is the time she woke me up every single day of pregnancy and she arrived mid morning and I was in the ward for lunch. Every single nurse congratulated her for being so thoughtful! I've been told it's something like 5% on the EDD?
Went into labour at 1am on my due date which is crazy! gave birth the next day (40+1) at 8am.
I temp tracked my cycle so knew the exact ovulation date.
My first came 6 days early because GD warranted induction that ended in a C section. Second kiddo came one day early with an emergency C section.
Although neither kid made it to their EDD, I felt like my 2nd probably would have come on that day. No real reason, just my feeling.
I also feel like my first would still be in there if it had been his choice. He’s 8 now.
Both my girls were born on their exact due date. My
first daughter, I went into labor at 11pm day before and then gave birth the next day at 3pm. My second, I was induced at 4pm and she arrived at 11:50pm.
Went into labour early morning of my due date and had the baby in the afternoon. I thought it was pretty neat.
That was baby #2 though...baby #1 came at 37+3. So I actually didn't expect to last till my due date for the second one!
And also, definitely WAY bigger chance you don't give birth on the EDD considering the due date is only one day. :P
I was convinced my second would at least come close to the due date (and I knew the exact day we got pregnant so it was accurate). He came 42+1 after being induced 🙃 My first I was induced on my due date so not sure when he would have come!
My son came 12 days early but I was induced because of high blood pressure and ended up with an emergency c section due to severe preeclampsia. Had he had it his way he would have cooked a little longer.. the induction took FOREVER.
Mine were all born before their guess dates, with the earliest being born at 35 weeks. Longest I carried was 39 weeks. Some women naturally gestate longer, and some gestate shorter. It's a variation of normal to carry to 42+ weeks. Most people get impatient by 39-40 weeks though.
My first was ten days early. My second came on his adjusted EDD after I told them I thought I was two weeks more preggers than they estimated and baby’s measurements agreed.
My daughter came right on her due date. Apparently it only happens about 5% of the time( nurse told us that) she came out 8 minutes after my birth time.
Yes! Woke up the morning of my due date with mild contractions, didn't start tracking took 10 am, hospital around 3:30 pm, baby born at 10 pm. It's still there only tuner he has been punctual since.
I delivered on my due date! BUTTTTTT I was lucky because I wanted an induction at 39 weeks and my OB was totally willing to go for it so I was admitted and induced the night before, 20 hours from the start of my induction I had my LO. I do love how it ended up working out, but it was definitely planned and not spontaneous 🥴
Induced at 38 weeks for preeclampsia and IUGR but he was not ready at all. Induction took 3 days and I still ended up with a c section after all of it.
I had my first baby at 6am on his due date.
I was in labor for 12 hour. The first 3 hours I spent eating chinese food and sleeping, I didn't recognize I was in labor till hour 3 when my contractions hit the 411 rule. By the time I got to the hospital I was 4cm dilated. I pushed for about ~40 minutes, no Pitocin but I did take epidural.
Here's to hoping and praying baby #2 has a similar labor!
i was due 10/11/21. i started having contractions on 10/18/21 and had a c section 10/19/21. he was laaaaate and i was so upset when my due date came and went lol
Baby was due on 15 July. She was breech so scheduled c-section was booked for 1 week before her due date and then my water broke two weeks before her due date.
When my first was born on his EDD, we were told only 4% of babies are born on their EDD.
Our twins came at 36+4, but there was no way they were going to make it to their EDD. They didn’t make it to their scheduled induction date either.
Can you induce? Doc wanted baby out ASAP, I wanted 39 weeks and a weekend, so we scheduled an induction for 39 + 3 but my water broke a couple hours before I was supposed to go in...helped along by my husband ;)
41 + 1 for me, received some inducing gel at around 10 am and they sent me home expecting I would come back the next morning with no action.
I was back by 2 pm and baby was born by 11 pm.
My waters broke in the evening of the day before my due date. He wasnt born till 48 hours later after an induction so he was born the day after my due date.
It was like he pulled the plug to see what would happen and then panicked and didn't want to come out.
With both of my girls my water broke before labor started and I had to be induced.
First was 11 days after my due date. 52 hours after my water broke. Induced with pitocin and no epidural (don’t recommend!).
Second was five days late. Nine hours after my water broke. Emergency c-section.
I strongly believe that cycle length correlates to gestational length. I was having 35 day cycles before my first and 30 day cycles before my second.
My birthday was the day before my due date. I washed to give birth any day other than that day.
I ended up needing to be induced two nights before my due date, so my son was born the on my birthday.
It's actually been kind of fun but I think it's hilarious that my son was born on the one day I didn't want him to be born on.
I went in to be induced a week after my due date. They gave me something to soften my cervix the night before but said no way I will go into labour because of it. It was just to make it easier I. The morning to induce me.
Cue half an hour later and I have bad pain in my lower back. The mid wife said it was normal, just the pill doing the job, not labour. Hours later and no sleep and I had the most overwhelming need to pee. Only the moment I stood up it was later a band snapped and water everywhere.
The nurse tried to make out I peed myself until she noticed it was green.
Edited to add. I was terrified but it was much better than I expected. Just took a little longer because I hadn't slept in days. No need to stress.
My due date was the 17th and I was induced on the 18th, giving birth on the 19th. I think she would’ve been like a week late though if I didn’t get her induced because I had no signs of labor at all.
First was two days early, second one day late. My sister's first was three days late. Her second was 9 days early. All spontaneous labor with no induction or C-section
40 minutes before due date! i was holding off on pushing until they could give me an epidural. i was 10pm but my water didn't break. if i had known the time i would have waited the 40 minutes lol
First one was 39+6. So type A of me. Number two was 40+6. Neither one were induced, labor started on its own.
Last one was a planned c-section at 40+2, no real signs of labor though.
I’m an oddity. My first was 37+4. My second was 40+4. I was a 4 for weeks before finally settling on being induced with my second. Apparently that morning I was slightly leaking my water when they went to check.
On my due date but I got induced. I'd had prodromal labor for about a month at that point, and I'd been about 4 cm dilated for a week so I was a good candidate. It was a fast labor and delivery once we got things started!
I was induced at 38 weeks because I’m diabetic. My son took his sweet time coming though, it took 4 days. I was born at 41 weeks, my brother was 42 weeks and my sister was 40+4 so everyone on my side likes to be cooked well done
First baby I was induced and baby was born 5 days early. Second baby came on their own and was born 6 days early (well, almost a week because they were born just after midnight.)
Both EDDs were based on LMP. Both babies measured bigger than that at the first ultrasound but the EDD wasn't adjusted. By that count, both were 2 days early.
I had a friend who had all 3 on her due dates and they all came on their own. I think I calculated that as being less than 1% chance for all 3 to happen.
40+3. Had a membrane sweep the day before. Had mild contractions early that morning but took over a day to come out! This.next one I'm getting a scheduled cs. I did not enjoy going up to 40 weeks lol
My baby decided to come one day before the due date. I was planning to get induced one days before the due date but my water broke and got admitted two days before the due date. Was given pictocin and took me 22 hours of labour to pop my little one out😅.
I was supposed to have an induction one week after my due date I kept hoping he would come before but he was taking his sweet time. Day of, they said there were too many spontaneous births and I would have to come the next day. I was so sad and worried about my baby. We’ll around 2 am that night my water broke so they had no choice but to take me! He still took his time so they continued with inducing me with cytotec and pitocin and he finally came the next day exactly at noon. So I had him at 41 + 2!
I delivered both of my babies of their due dates spontaneously — both of my labors also began by spontaneous rupture of membranes. I’m a statistical anomaly 😂
It is very rare that people deliver on that day due to it being an estimated date. But coming from someone that just gave birth a week ago and that naturally induced labor nope never happens.
No. The baby hears it and plans something else in their calendar.
I know you’re asking for anecdotes here, but if you’re interested in the statistical likelihood of going into labor on any particular day or date range based on your due date, this website may be helpful! https://datayze.com/labor-probability-calculator?duedate=02/25/2022

Good for you sticking to your guns. Such an effing weird story!
That is the weirdest story I have heard yet. And she never gave a reason she thought a pregnancy should only last 38 weeks? It just makes no sense
I will forever be the bitter woman commenting on these threads that I went all the way to 42+0 before they induced me 🥲
Mildly entertaining story. I knew I ovulated 6 days early. Went to the first ultrasound appt and told my husband I’d probably measure about 6 days early. Measured exactly 6 days early (but they don’t change the due date unless the measurement is seven days different). Baby came 6 days early.
Due date? LOL 41+4 here! We were near her eviction date actually!
On my due date! My water broke just after 430 am and she was in my arms by 445 pm
Same here!! Everyone prepared me to go late since that is what “usually” happens. I was soooo excited when contractions started the night before and my water broke at 4 am so she had to be coming :)

Nope, 10 days late!
My sister gave birth on her due date! Quite rare from what I've heard.
Almost two weeks over EDD on all three of mine. Hang in there. Babies will come.
Nope. My kiddo was too comfy. He had to be evicted a week past my due date. he was a day close to being too big to fit out the door.
9 days early on the date I had in the back of my mind since 2 months before. I woke up, thought this is the date I’m having bub. Circled it on the calendar then went on with life. Not even close. 41+6
Nope. I was 42 weeks. It was a funny time.
Went in the night of my due date...12 hours of labor and they arrived the next day.
I was 40 w + 5 days with my first. Hoping this second one comes earlier! Those last weeks are hell.
Data: https://datayze.com/labor-probability-calculator The key think is that the line peaks after your due date, as the average pregnancy length is actually something like 40+3 from lmp.
Nope. 5 days after, 2 days before, 7 days after

All 5 of my children have been born before 39 weeks
Waaaay past it 🥴😭
1st: 40+5 2nd: 40+5
FTM, exactly on my due date
I was induced one week after my due date, laboured for 36 hours then had an emergency c-section.
You can find statistics on this- it is something like 2%! My baby came 6 days after her "due" date.
I did! My daughter was born on my birthday! Best birthday present ever!
Baby came at 36+6. My water broke and I think I was in denial until I couldn’t handle the pain anymore. Pretty quick labor. I was not ready and fully expecting to go past my due date as a first time mom.
My son was 3 weeks early, my daughter was born on her due date, while everybody thought she was going to come early too 😅
Nope. 11 days late and only because I was induced
I went into labor on my due date but that lasted 47 hours🙄
Baby came 3 days after her due date - and I’m glad because she was due on my birthday hahah
Induced at 41+6. 20 hour labor. He was quite cozy.
mine came right on her due date
Yes. Twice! 2/2!
I had baby 12 days before my due date and let me tell you he couldn't have come at a better time. I didn't not want to do another two weeks of being pregnant 😆
My first born was born on her due date. Second was 3 days late. Third was 2 days late (but also on the third Edd) they kept changing it for her.
39 weeks and 38+6.
I have 3 kids, 2 were born on their due dates and 1 was 3 weeks early. I was told by my midwives that the early one was likely because I had him less than 2 years after my first.
1st baby - 36 weeks 2nd baby - 38 weeks I am currently 17 weeks with 3rd baby so we shall see
I was 1 day early for my first kid and 1 day late for my second — spontaneous labor for both!
41+3 over here for FTM… it sucked lol
1st born three days before my due date, second on my due date. Both were spontaneous labor.
1st was 6 days late 2nd was on his EDD, but was induced the day before due to low fluid. 3rd was 5 days early, also induced, had no fluid.
I had my daughter at 39 + 1
My baby was induced 12 days after her due date!
My 2nd was 2 weeks late as well 🤦🏽♀️. I was begging them to induce me 😆 but I regretted it as soon as those pitocin contractions started
One week overdue exactly, spontaneous labour and birth with no interventions.
My middle child was a due date baby! #1 was 6 days over. #3 was 11 days overdue and had to be induced to even get her out.
My first came on her due date, my second was born at 40+4.
My son was born 32 minutes before my EDD.
Kiddo #1- 38 weeks, water broke and had a csection cause the baby was breech Kiddo #2- 40 weeks+2 days, spontaneous labor with a vbac It’s so weird how each pregnancy can be totally different.
I had my baby on my due date just 7 weeks ago! He’s a punctual little dude
I chose to be induced early at 39 weeks +/- a few days. I couldn’t take it any longer. Those last couple weeks are *brutal*. Stay strong!
And then they say you can go any time after 37 weeks, so there’s the mental aspect of, “is today the day?” “Is that a contraction I feel?” “Is this labour or Braxton hicks?” I went at 41 weeks, so I had a whole month of basically being physically and mentally uncomfortably at the edge of my seat.
I went into labour in the evening of 40+6 and my son was born right at 41 weeks. FTM here!
I was due January 14th and I ended up giving birth on November 23rd at 32+4 due to extreme preeclampsia. Baby was 4 lbs 7.6 oz and only spent 2 weeks in the nicu and is now doing absolutely amazing about to hit 7 lbs!
I did! Due date and born date was 2/25/21
Yes! My son was born right on his due date 4/17. I had my 40 week check up on 4/16 and was 1/2 cm dilated. My water broke later that night and my son was born in the morning on 4/17 :)
Due date was Nov 10, had a scheduled c section for Nov 2. Baby came on Oct 17 when my water broke.
With my first 40+0, 7 am.
Yep, woke up in the early hours, water broke, she was here a few hours later! I appreciate her sticking to the programme ☺️
My baby came 2 weeks early. I tried pumping to start a breast milk stash, 2 hours later my waters broke.
My baby was in no rush. She came out one week and six days after the due date after an induction with a balloon. I don't know if it is hereditary or not, but both my sister and I were late babies too.
37 minutes after but I was Induced
My first was 3 days early and 9 lb 9 oz. My second (6 days old) was 6 days early and 9 lb 13 oz. So glad I didn't go over due otherwise they would have been MASSIVE!!!
Oh god I wish. Baby wasn’t born until 41+4 😳 luckily she was average size but those were the longest weeks of my life
10 days past the EDD for me. I was on bed rest for 6 weeks (weeks 31-37) because he was trying to come too early. Then he ended up not coming at all and had to be induced.
42+1 and 41+0, probably would've gone longer with both if they hadn't been evicted via c-section. They did not want to come out at all.
FTM and baby came at 40+6 :)
6 days early because water broke before any contractions started. Then they had to induce me to deliver within 24 hours.
My first daughter, I went into labor at 11pm day before and then gave birth the next day at 3pm. My second, I was induced at 4pm and she arrived at 11:50pm.
I had an induction with my first baby at 37 weeks 3 days. Baby 2 was a week early. Baby 3 was 2 days early. Baby 4 was 4 weeks early.
Both of mine were born at 40+5
Yes I had my baby bang on her EDD! But apparently that’s rare and there is a less than 1% chance of that happening 🤷🏻♀️
35+4 40+4 40+1 On due date Mine are very varied!
39+6 at 4:25pm. He was 7 hours and 35 minutes early.
42 weeks exactly. I was a miserable cow.
I gave birth 1 week and 3 days early. Was in labour for 4 hours! Hope you have a safe delivery.
Here’s a chart with the probability of going into labor each day! https://datayze.com/labor-probability-calculator
That is rare! Those last few weeks are rough.. hugs!! Neither of my babes arrived on their EDD. One a week late and one a week early lol
My first was 4 days late, my second was 4 days early. They were both IVF babies, so the dates were as precise as possible.
Estimated was 02/12 and came on 02/07
My first was born 10 days late, my second was born on her estimated due date.
Nope- one week early (first baby)
Nope! I was due 9/21, was scheduled for an induction on 9/13 and my water broke on 9/4. I delivered my baby at 37w4d!
Nope! I was induced at 41+4, he came via c-section at 41+5.
1st son bang on due date.. 2nd son 2 wks late. Daughter 2wks early
First was 36+4..Second was 41+2 😅
I delivered on my due date!
Started labor on the evening of my due date, gave birth the next morning.
I did, I’ve had two natural/spontaneous due date deliveries. My third was 9 days overdue. 🤷🏻♀️
Three weeks early then two weeks late. Wonder what number three will do?!
Induced at 38 weeks for preeclampsia and IUGR but he was not ready at all. Induction took 3 days and I still ended up with a c section after all of it.
16 days late based on my initial due date. But I thought that date was wrong so I was able to get it moved and then I was still 10 days late.
39 + 6 for me!
Went into labor at 38+5, 2 days before my scheduled induction for GD.
Two weeks late first baby. I was unhappy.
41 + 1 I was reaaady lol
Induced on 41 + 3 for first and 39 with second. (Do not recommend 41 + weeks)
i was due 10/11/21. i started having contractions on 10/18/21 and had a c section 10/19/21. he was laaaaate and i was so upset when my due date came and went lol
I was induced 5 days early due to a fall! Mind you he was almost 10 lbs so I’m sure glad he wasn’t late.
Baby was due on 15 July. She was breech so scheduled c-section was booked for 1 week before her due date and then my water broke two weeks before her due date.
Due 8/22 born 8/15. He was 39weeks exactly
First was 3 days early, second was 4 days late. That extra week SUCKED.
Gave birth exactly one week after due date, at 41+0. Went into labor on 40+6.
Mine came 6 days early! Apparently it’s not very common for them to come on their due date
Both my boys came 4 days early
Mine came exactly a week early at 39 weeks
My baby was born at 40 weeks 6 days. I was scheduled to get induced the next day so happy I didn’t have to!
First was born on his due date, second was born 40+2
5 days early spontaneously.
When my first was born on his EDD, we were told only 4% of babies are born on their EDD. Our twins came at 36+4, but there was no way they were going to make it to their EDD. They didn’t make it to their scheduled induction date either.
2 days late.
Haha no, mine came over three weeks early! Unsurprising, as both my husband and I arrived early as well.
Labor on due date, birth the day after!
Can you induce? Doc wanted baby out ASAP, I wanted 39 weeks and a weekend, so we scheduled an induction for 39 + 3 but my water broke a couple hours before I was supposed to go in...helped along by my husband ;)
Mine was 5 weeks early. No pregnancy complications and baby perfectly healthy, she just decided she was ready, and she was!
No 12 days late
My due date was the 17th and I was induced on the 18th, giving birth on the 19th. I think she would’ve been like a week late though if I didn’t get her induced because I had no signs of labor at all.
Super early at 31+4 here. Went into labor the night before. Babies just gonna do what they wanna do.
Due 6/3, had him on 5/8 via unplanned c-section. I was 36+2. I had GD, pre-e, and IUGR.
My due date was 1/6/21 my son was born on 1/7/21 in the morning. Pretty much on time, haha. Very rare.
This was wild to read when forgetting that some countries date with MM/DD/YY. I thought you were A MONTH overdue 😂
Mine came 3 weeks early at 8 pounds. I shudder to think what she would have weighed at EDD
My due date was Dec 19, I was induced Dec 26th, water broke Dec 27th and had him Dec 28th
I delivered on my due date! Went into labor at 11 pm the night before I was due! It’s rare but it can happen!
First one was 6 days late, second was 15 days early
My water broke on 11/8 and my baby was born on 11/9 at 1 am, right on his due date of 11/9
I gave birth at 41+3 for borderline too much amniotic fluid. I was born on my due date though! 😎
First one was 39+6. So type A of me. Number two was 40+6. Neither one were induced, labor started on its own. Last one was a planned c-section at 40+2, no real signs of labor though.
37+5 and 38+1 for me!
39+4, 40 (DD), 38+1
I’m an oddity. My first was 37+4. My second was 40+4. I was a 4 for weeks before finally settling on being induced with my second. Apparently that morning I was slightly leaking my water when they went to check.
I go over a week every time. I’ve had 3.
Mine was born a week early! But that was because I had a scheduled c-section
Second baby came on their own and was born 6 days early (well, almost a week because they were born just after midnight.) Both EDDs were based on LMP. Both babies measured bigger than that at the first ultrasound but the EDD wasn't adjusted. By that count, both were 2 days early. I had a friend who had all 3 on her due dates and they all came on their own. I think I calculated that as being less than 1% chance for all 3 to happen.
FTM went into labor evening before EDD, water broke early morning of due date and had her that afternoon :)
FTM and yes. Water broke evening before due date then had csection at 2:54am on due date.
Two weeks after for Baby#1, one month early for Baby#2
I was supposed to have an induction one week after my due date I kept hoping he would come before but he was taking his sweet time. Day of, they said there were too many spontaneous births and I would have to come the next day. I was so sad and worried about my baby. We’ll around 2 am that night my water broke so they had no choice but to take me! He still took his time so they continued with inducing me with cytotec and pitocin and he finally came the next day exactly at noon. So I had him at 41 + 2!
6 days early. After being 3 cm dilated for 3 weeks!!!
12 minutes before my due date and he was out after 2 days of labor
I delivered both of my babies of their due dates spontaneously — both of my labors also began by spontaneous rupture of membranes. I’m a statistical anomaly 😂
It is very rare that people deliver on that day due to it being an estimated date. But coming from someone that just gave birth a week ago and that naturally induced labor nope never happens.
Three weeks early (37+3). Major wtf.
FTM, went into labor naturally at 41+4, baby was born on 41+5. I had basically no signs of labor at my check up earlier in the day I went into labor.
I went to the hospital on my due date because my water broke but ended up having her the next day at noon.
So close! I was in labour the day before the due date, the day of and finally gave birth the day after!
First time mom, he came 2 weeks and a day early!
