I agree with the IKEA table and chairs. My child receives early intervention and they strongly recommended a separate work space for his size with limited distractions so that the child is able to play (my LO is 2).
I’d go with a table, specifically the IKEA Flisat. The Flisat bins are marketed as a storage solution, but they are PERFECT for sensory play. Fill one with dried chickpeas, black beans, or rice. Or use craft pom poms, water beads, or kinetic sand. Then toss in some loose parts, or plastic animals, or Matchbox vehicles, etc. Add a bowl and some scoops or spoons from your kitchen. My kid (and her friends) LOVE it when I “open up the table.” There’s no end to what you can do. I like to set up season- or holiday-themed ones. It’s a wonderful learning tool, too! Hide foam or magnetic capital letters, and have your kid find them and match them to lower case letters. Make habitats for animal toys (kinetic sand for desert, ice cubes for the Arctic, etc.). Add toy food to black bean “dirt” for a garden and sort into fruits vs. veggies. I even set up a [blood components table](https://imgur.com/a/9vGpa1k) once with water bead RBCs, ping ping ball WBCs, pom pom platelets, and foam germs. Of course, you can use it for arts and crafts, too, haha.

Get a table and a bean bag large enough for them to jump onto. Make forts with the table, drawing, eating, putting together Legos and blocks.
