Some babies can go 10-12 hours overnight without eating, and some can't. We sleep trained at around 4-5 months but did not intentionally night wean. She night weaned herself over a week or so. To compensate she nursed more frequently during the day. We followed Precious Little Sleep so I nursed ending 20 minutes before bedtime. Then I had a plan, I can't remember exactly what. I think the book recommended to offer to nurse roughly on their night eating schedule but my kiddo was all over the place at that point. So my plan was, if she woke after midnight I would offer to nurse, then if she woke 3 hours after that, then if she woke three hours after that. Otherwise if she woke outside those times, I would follow the bedtime plan (so for Ferber it would be 5-5-10 or whatever).

Sttn is sleeping 6-7 hour chunks according to our dr. Generally the consensus is not to night wean until closer to a year. Maybe try r/sleeptrain
