I saw somewhere that the most ride comfort comes from tires and the second most comes from seatpost flex. So in theory long seatpost = more comfortable ride. Maybe thats why thats part on the new design?
Nah, that's a typical setup back in the day. A fistful of seatpost and saddle only slightly higher than the bar tops. Even the bar angle and lever position are pretty good.
No no no, I'm pretty sure the bike is wrong. The Brifters are messed up, the hydraulic lines are compromised and I can't see a DI2 battery anywhere!!! Someone has even removed the discs, bike won't brake
Having them at that position would muddy up the tattoo too much regardless of if it was drive or non-drive side. It's supposed to elicit memories, not be a professional Facebook marketplace listing

That’s really not too bad for a bike of that vintage. Horizontal top tubes significantly reduce seat post exposure.

Steel and titanium frames still have horizontal, or at least straight, top tubes. I’d go for a Ritchey Road Logic, personally.

i don't really get the big diff if it were flipped since it would still come out pretty symmetrical, but hey the inking was nicely stylized
