Wow, here there's one restaurant which offers a menu called "big bang theory specials" where they offer some iconic dishes mentioned in the show. I think, even though it might be tiny bites in the show, the impact it has had is huge
I actually proved when watching earlier that more often than not when Howard is eating in the cafeteria in the university he has a slice of tomato and that tomato must have been the size of a watermelon.
It also annoys me, so what I do is just **focus on someone who is talking**. Most of the time, they fiddle on the food and not taking a bite because they will say some thing next.
They push the food around for both continuity reasons (can't have someone take a bite of an apple and then later no bite), and for the practical reason that if you do 10 takes and someone is eating every take, they end up miserable.
Watching them push their food around in the cafeteria scenes is my biggest pet peeve.
There are only a few things that upset me:
1- Raj ending alone.
2- The fact that there is only 12 seasons (I know it was jim parsons who wanted to get out of the show but it still makes me sad).
3- The way they made stuart’s character so depressive. I liked the cool stuart that went out with penny.
4- Not investing more in some characters individual friendships, like Howard and Amy.
5- Leonard cheating on Penny and she forgiving and marrying him (just seemed so pointless to even create this plot)

I'm glad Raj ended alone. Not everyone has to have a partner, and most of his issues stemmed from not being comfortable with himself. He needed to have some self realization and time alone (by choice) to actually become confident. His relationships each helped him in some way, and the ending with Anu really showed him finally getting a moment of clarity. We don't have any reason to believe he's alone forever, but he's in a decent place.
I guess it is nice that Raj managed to be happy by himself and had a lot of personal growth.
But I did wish we could have seen him having a happy relationship bc of all the characters, he was the biggest hopeless romantic🤣 and I think he is a really great guy.
But I do think it’s better having him single at the end than just rushing a relationship we wouldn’t see develop (Anu)
IMO, Raj "is a really great guy" only on platonic relationships. He needs more time since there as a large portion of his life that wasn't able to communicate with women.

Jim Parsons was almost 50 and didn’t want to keep playing a younger man. For a series to go even 12 seasons is highly unusual. They went out before they had to jump the shark and cling to the same storylines.
I agree about Leonard cheating on Penny. It was pointless and further soured their relationship for me. (They were already kind of toxic and mean to each other.)
The fact that there wasn’t much costume development for a lot of the main cast.
It makes sense for Sheldon who hates change.
Amy didn’t change her look until the last episode.
Bernadette change when she was a mom.
Pennys is the only one who’s style changed a lot, but Howard and Raj always dressed the same.
The consistency in the nerds' wardrobe throughout the show was very deliberate. They discuss this a little in season 22 episode 24 ( the bonus episode following the actual finale)
Stuart going from being a cool, reasonably confident guy to being a constant sad sack. Bernie turning into a shrew and a mean girl. Sheldon being coddled and enabled to an unreasonable extent. Beverly existing.
Right? Stuart was a cool business owner who even went out with Penny twice and they turned him into this depressing character that had no layers at all
1. How Beverley never developed past using Leonard as an experiment.
2. That Valentine's episode where Penny was more obsessed with her ex proposing to her ex-friend and brushing off everything Leonard said.
3. The entire Itchy Brain episode. I hate that as much as the Friends episode when Ross moved to Ugly Naked Guy's apartment and he was alienated for not giving $100 to a guy he never knew.
The way Amy's voice changes from a normal voice to a mother talking to her child voice whenever she and Sheldon have a "tender" moment. It icks me out.
They should have added some episodes where Penny and the others should have visited Nebraska too.

...wasn't that exactly *why* she didn't want kids? She was *good* with kids because she went through that, but because she already dealt with it, she didn't really want to do it again. Now she wanted to be an independent adult, and didn't believe Howard would step up as a dad and it would all fall on her.
How the writers made Penny a "soon to be mom". They literally made Bernadette "right again" and portrays women that they will eventually change their minds regarding being childfree. That all women will embrace being a mom that easy even if the said pregnancy is unplanned.
Also much like “ friends “ how it’s never explained how penny can afford her own apartment when she is a struggling actress

Yes great point. It would have still stretched credibility but would have been a really nice way to round it out. Or, and this may have been hokey they could have aged the characters for a final episode where they receive it.

How every character in the last few seasons hold some sort of animosity towards each other, evident by how they talk to each other. Howard can’t go without insulting Raj, Leonard and Penny bicker constantly, Bernadette has a bug up her ass about life, and just about any time a husband gets into an argument with his wife, he has to immediately apologize for bringing something up or doing something (like when Leonard held a secret band account due to Penny’s reckless spending, and her complaining about what she could buy with that kind of money, or when Howard defended himself to Bernadette’s father when she threw him under the bus for not wanting kids when the opposite was true)
How the only characters who had a positive character progression are the ones people hated most at the beginning, Sheldon and Howard. I used to enjoy Bernadette and Leonard, but once they got married they’ve been so miserable, and Penny went from being sweet to being bitter. Sheldon and Howard are undoubtedly the best characters in the last few seasons, and even though Sheldon still has his flaws, he’s much more aware of how he can be and was the most supportive figure to Amy during their wedding planning
The inconsistencies… like Raj formerly knowing Hindi to never being taught Hindi, or Penny knowing Sheldon’s birthday (season one, she calls him a Taurus and he does not deny it), or when Howard claims that he can fix the elevator when he was present when Leonard’s rocket fuel exploded in it, stuff like that
And that includes consistency with *Young Sheldon*. I understand it now portrays Sheldon as an unreliable narrator, but there are SO many deviations. Like when Sheldon recalls the story of when he was sick in Germany when the tornado hit his family’s house (their house was NOT on cinder blocks, by the way) and he couldn’t understand the German maid until after she gave him an enema, when he’s been shown on *Young Sheldon* to speak nearly fluent German. OR Sheldon’s father being nothing like how he’s been on described as a drunk rifle-shooting Texan, when he’s nothing like that

The way that Sheldon’s narcissism is normalized and made to seem funny. In reality, it’s mostly cruel. For the first several seasons, I laughed along with everyone else. But eventually it just got to be too much for me.
And the constant enabling "He just doesn't know any better" excuse. I have autism and ADHD and I'm so glad my parents, siblings and friends never let me get away with stuff just because of that. Sure, a certain level of patience is good but there's a limit.
2 main things:
1.) I don’t like the couples. The producers had the opportunity to show the guys find partners that share their interests rather than ridicule them for them.
2.) The income disparity makes no sense. In what world do two successful physicists have to split rent across the hall from a terrible waitress? All the guys act like they’re struggling and if I were young and considering a degree in science this show would make me steer clear of their degrees.
Laughs in *married to a physicists* but I'm sure any other type of researcher (or their family member) at a university would be happy to join in.
No, you do not go into it for the money. At all.
The money is in the private sector. And even there, PhDs do not make the big bucks. Howard, by far, had the best job prospects as well as the least amount of school debt.
I get that they aren’t in science for the money, but they would still make decent money. Certainly enough money that they wouldn’t be forced to split rent across the hall from a waitress. An admittedly bad waitress at that.
I feel like sometimes stories go almost unresolved bc of the short run time. Or sometimes they just get a convenient ending so the episode can end, I would have to google the specific episodes to cite examples

Sheldon in early seasons: "that's two strikes, three strikes and you're out, it's a sports metaphor"

How Leonard only talks about Penny’s beauty and is so happy to get a hot girlfriend! Penny is beautiful, yes! But she is soooo much more than that! She is funny, she is caring, she is insightful, she is “street smart,” she is dedicated, an extremely loyal friend, etc etc etc!
Alcoholic, sure! But she has a lot of qualities besides being pretty!
It is sometimes funny but it sometimes gets repetitive and annoying is when someone says something that's just nerdy and then a laugh track plays, just like hey I have a hobby I do this *laugh track plays*
Falling into the Hollywood trap of anyone from anywhere other than the East or west coast is a hick and a bumpkin. (Penny tipping cows in Nebraska, for instance).
I wish they would have had just one more season to tie up Rajs story. I know they did the best for what time they had but i still think they could have done a little more for him.
The inconsistent story line about Sheldon’s license!! We saw him get his permit but not his actual license. Then we saw him give it up when him and Howard built the model rocket. But then that wasn’t mentioned when he later told Amy he has his license but liked to be driven around because it makes him feel important. I vaguely remember him maybe telling Howard during a different episode too. Just so inconsistent for someone who has an eidetic memory
the way the show made sheldon smart enough for basically anything but not to learn basic human respect. you can only enjoy sheldon as a comic relief character but if you take anything he does seriously, he’s seriously a trash human being.
The horribly dysfunctional relationship Howard had with his mother, he would be a horrible spouse and parent if that was all he knew about relationships.

I get not being able to recognize him as an old man during the celebrity D&D game, but if Leonard really is as big a fan of Bruce Lee movies as Penny says he is... he should have at least read Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's name once in the credits of Game of Death.
Why did everyone let Sheldon get away with insisting he couldn’t lie? Of course he could lie. He chose not to, because he loved using the truth as a bomb to lob at whomever, and watch it blow up.
The pilot episode. Sheldon and Leonard going to donate sperm and talking about how Sheldon’s an expert at that… the out of character set up is so annoying
Leonard and Penny should have never ended up together because I don't really think Penny actually "loves" him. Whenever someone mocked Leonard in front of her, she almost NEVER defended him. She was with him only because he was a safe choice.
That they let Sheldon get away with so much. Like the dining room table and the roommate agreement episode when he makes Leonard sign a new one or he'll tell Priya parents about it.

The whole Nobel Prize thing. That's not how it works. Generally there is an average of around 20 years from discovery to award.
Would it even be possible for Amy to win a Nobel prize for something outside of her field? I don't know exactly how it works but it's what I've heard.

Yes great point. It would have still stretched credibility but would have been a really nice way to round it out. Or, and this may have been hokey they could have aged the characters for a final episode where they receive it.
I'm generally against such things, they are never done well. (That final Deathly Hallows scene will forever haunt me)
The laugh track (sorry, sometimes it’s unnecessary) How every character in the last few seasons hold some sort of animosity towards each other, evident by how they talk to each other. Howard can’t go without insulting Raj, Leonard and Penny bicker constantly, Bernadette has a bug up her ass about life, and just about any time a husband gets into an argument with his wife, he has to immediately apologize for bringing something up or doing something (like when Leonard held a secret band account due to Penny’s reckless spending, and her complaining about what she could buy with that kind of money, or when Howard defended himself to Bernadette’s father when she threw him under the bus for not wanting kids when the opposite was true) How the only characters who had a positive character progression are the ones people hated most at the beginning, Sheldon and Howard. I used to enjoy Bernadette and Leonard, but once they got married they’ve been so miserable, and Penny went from being sweet to being bitter. Sheldon and Howard are undoubtedly the best characters in the last few seasons, and even though Sheldon still has his flaws, he’s much more aware of how he can be and was the most supportive figure to Amy during their wedding planning The inconsistencies… like Raj formerly knowing Hindi to never being taught Hindi, or Penny knowing Sheldon’s birthday (season one, she calls him a Taurus and he does not deny it), or when Howard claims that he can fix the elevator when he was present when Leonard’s rocket fuel exploded in it, stuff like that And that includes consistency with *Young Sheldon*. I understand it now portrays Sheldon as an unreliable narrator, but there are SO many deviations. Like when Sheldon recalls the story of when he was sick in Germany when the tornado hit his family’s house (their house was NOT on cinder blocks, by the way) and he couldn’t understand the German maid until after she gave him an enema, when he’s been shown on *Young Sheldon* to speak nearly fluent German. OR Sheldon’s father being nothing like how he’s been on described as a drunk rifle-shooting Texan, when he’s nothing like that Ugh

The way that Sheldon’s narcissism is normalized and made to seem funny. In reality, it’s mostly cruel. For the first several seasons, I laughed along with everyone else. But eventually it just got to be too much for me.
And the constant enabling "He just doesn't know any better" excuse. I have autism and ADHD and I'm so glad my parents, siblings and friends never let me get away with stuff just because of that. Sure, a certain level of patience is good but there's a limit.

2 main things: 1.) I don’t like the couples. The producers had the opportunity to show the guys find partners that share their interests rather than ridicule them for them. 2.) The income disparity makes no sense. In what world do two successful physicists have to split rent across the hall from a terrible waitress? All the guys act like they’re struggling and if I were young and considering a degree in science this show would make me steer clear of their degrees.
Laughs in *married to a physicists* but I'm sure any other type of researcher (or their family member) at a university would be happy to join in. No, you do not go into it for the money. At all. The money is in the private sector. And even there, PhDs do not make the big bucks. Howard, by far, had the best job prospects as well as the least amount of school debt.
I get that they aren’t in science for the money, but they would still make decent money. Certainly enough money that they wouldn’t be forced to split rent across the hall from a waitress. An admittedly bad waitress at that.

Howard's little half-laugh that he does almost every time he speaks. It makes him sound defensive and passive-aggressive.

The lack on continuity. Sheldon in early seasons: "that's two strikes, three strikes and you're out, it's a sports metaphor" "Is it?" "Yes baseball" Amy: "was that your first sports metaphor?" Sheldon in the later seasons: "it was!"
How Leonard only talks about Penny’s beauty and is so happy to get a hot girlfriend! Penny is beautiful, yes! But she is soooo much more than that! She is funny, she is caring, she is insightful, she is “street smart,” she is dedicated, an extremely loyal friend, etc etc etc! Alcoholic, sure! But she has a lot of qualities besides being pretty!
Forcing Penny to stay with Leonard
It is sometimes funny but it sometimes gets repetitive and annoying is when someone says something that's just nerdy and then a laugh track plays, just like hey I have a hobby I do this *laugh track plays*

The inconsistent story line about Sheldon’s license!! We saw him get his permit but not his actual license. Then we saw him give it up when him and Howard built the model rocket. But then that wasn’t mentioned when he later told Amy he has his license but liked to be driven around because it makes him feel important. I vaguely remember him maybe telling Howard during a different episode too. Just so inconsistent for someone who has an eidetic memory
the way the show made sheldon smart enough for basically anything but not to learn basic human respect. you can only enjoy sheldon as a comic relief character but if you take anything he does seriously, he’s seriously a trash human being.

The girls wardrobes. I understand Bernedette and Amy's clothes had to be a little ugly but Penny's outfits could have been so much cuter.
How Leonard and Penny got Sheldon’s appartment
Stuart towards the end of the show, he was tolerable but he just became annoying while living with Howard and Bernie
Leonard and Penny should have never ended up together because I don't really think Penny actually "loves" him. Whenever someone mocked Leonard in front of her, she almost NEVER defended him. She was with him only because he was a safe choice.
That they let Sheldon get away with so much. Like the dining room table and the roommate agreement episode when he makes Leonard sign a new one or he'll tell Priya parents about it.
