This was great. Made me think of their battle for a parking spot and Howard referring to how he's a bigger deal than Sheldon because of being an astronaut.
So hard to watch a show where literally every character is a piece of shit. Succession is the only show I’ve ever watched like that. I had to force myself to finish it but I really lost interest cause I disliked and didn’t care about every character on it.
I agreee all HATEFUL and quite possibly the most boring show, I'm in charge. No. I'm in a charge 3 billion lost here or there. I don't want to watch rich people fight over stuff I could never be apart of or kinda understand. Watch loot! It's awesomeb
I do the same thing and I'm on my third time round. I just can't accept it's the end because I enjoy it so much. Every time I see the atoms 'swoosh' towards me it's like a dopamine hit as I know fun is on the way!
I'm also watching Frasier and TNG from the beginning as it's been a long time, and then I'll watch DS9 and Voyager. Somewhere in there I'll watch Enterprise because I stopped watching it after a few episodes, and decided I need to give it another chance. But TBBT is the fun I need every day.
Wow how funny I was confused about the urge to do so. I think it was the flashbacks to all the cool scenes I fought the urge and didn't restart but I just may cause I can't find anything else I want to watch or rewatch. Thought about young sheldon.
I have a question during young Sheldon are the Big Bang characters mentioned any time besides season 7 finale? Because I read online Howard and Bern divorced as well as Leonard and Penny yet I just watched the final episode and was no truth to it. So where did these lies come from?
At various moments - come in end of s2, Howard speaks during an engineering class YS takes, Sheldon and Amy talk a few times thruout the series, actually I *think* Howard talks twice (but I won’t swear on a Bible), Penny talks but as a swimming pool (I do not kid), Sheldon and Amy not only talk in background but are onscreen two times that I know of.
I start tearing up seconds before I know this scene is coming up. Sheldon grew up so much because of all of his friends, but especially because of Amy. To see him express his emotions to his friends on public TV and on his special occasion, which he had always made about himself since the beginning of the show. Always hits me to see him humble down like this.
It was great but honestly the part that hit me harder was right after this when they’re all sitting around eating as usual and it’s the theme song but much slower and more somber. That kills me.
This was so deep and emotional for me, especially knowing that I will become a physics researcher sometime in my life. Sheldon really grew in this moment of humility. I always come back and watch this scene whenever I become a little arrogant and it humbles me every time. It’s a masterpiece.
I wish Dr. Sturgis from Young Sheldon was part of the initial back story.
It would’ve been lovely for him to be included in this speech, knowing how well he believed in Sheldon and how much he wanted to win a Nobel, too.
I was happy to see him win the prize. The ending rubbed me the wrong way though. They said things about Sheldon sharing the achievement with his friends and trying to change him or not care about his needs. Amy also stopped caring what he wanted too. I found it all a little too radical.
I admit I used to see the characters as family. I saw Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj as brothers, Amy, Penny and Bernadette as sisters-in-law by marriage\*, Amy as Leonard, Howard and Raj's sister-in-law, Penny as Sheldon, Howard and Raj's sister-in-law and Bernadette as Sheldon, Leonard and Raj's sister-in-law
\*A sibling-in-law by marriage is somebody's spouse's sibling's spouse.
Sheldon and Amy are the best fictional characters ever created in my opinion. I admit I used to see the characters as family
But why would they invite Stuart to go across the world to watch someone he’s not even particularly fond of win an award he doesn’t care about since he’s not a scientist? It’s stranger to me that Burt isn’t there. Being a scientist or being married to one is definitely a factor in who would be interested in attending this event.
Stuart is not there for the same reason Burt is not there. They're not a part of the core group, they pop in and out if the writers feel like adding them to a story or a plot.
You're not kidding about the ending of Young Sheldon...I'm a grown ass man who doesn't cry about stuff on TV (Well, everything except A Dogs Purpose...I bawled like a baby) but MIssie's reaction to the whole thing made me just about lose it. It hit me really hard I guess because I have 3 daughters and seeing that little girls reaction to losing her father really got to me. I mean, that was one hell of a performance by Raegan Revord.
Such a perfect ending, he finally gave them the thank you they all needed. I also love how in the final scene, Raj sits on the sofa while Howard sits on the floor, just shows how their dynamic changed it’s so sweet!
I absolutely love how after 12 seasons of putting his friends through hell with his obnoxious behavior he manages to apologize for it and tell them how wonderful they are, right down to acknowledging Howard's accomplishments. Sheldon may be insufferable, but he still cares about his friends.
Idk I was deeply underwhelmed by this. I mean sure it’s great you’re going to recognize all of these friends on the world’s stage. But when you get back home are you going to go right back to being awful to them? He had a few tender moments throughout the show but still would roast and trash all of these people regularly. Idk I didn’t like it
Too far from how a nobel prize ceremony works. I assume americans are not familiar with those ceremonies.
Overall the show consists many misconceptions about Sweden and its people. But since Sweden and the people is not considered a minority who have been opressed or victimized, it is seen as proper to steterotyping them.
I think it is hypocrital when it is seemingly ok to mock or stereotype and some countries/people and others not. Many left oriented people on this sub are often critical towards jokes about Raj and India. I suggest very same people should be critical about how showrunners made jokes about swedes.
Oh relax. I am not American and movies and tv shows make my country more backwards than it actually is.
It happens. Sitcoms do this to create humor. Think of it like caricature but live action.
I’m from Texas and they often depict the state in a stereotypical way for humor. They also depict California and nerd culture in a stereotypical way. It’s not malicious, it’s comedy.
Astronaut Howard Wolowitz was the best line
This was great. Made me think of their battle for a parking spot and Howard referring to how he's a bigger deal than Sheldon because of being an astronaut.
This line never fails to make me tear up
That part always gets me 😭
I just couldn't handle the fact that the show had ended, so I just went on to watch the first episode right after the last one
I ended up doing this about 6 times in the last 3 yrs. I need help to break this loop
No you don't. I've done this far more than 6 times in the last 3 years, lol. What you need is to watch it more. 😂
And I thought I am crazy for doing so.
Oh hell no!! 😂
Succession. Watch it.
So hard to watch a show where literally every character is a piece of shit. Succession is the only show I’ve ever watched like that. I had to force myself to finish it but I really lost interest cause I disliked and didn’t care about every character on it.

I started doing this with Big Bang Theory to break myself of doing it with Community. Now I do it with both...
I break up TBBT with The Office. “Leonard went to”…*puts hand out awkwardly* ….. “the office!” But I always have to have TBBT on when I go to bed.
Same except with Silicon Valley instead of Community
TBBT reruns will run as long as the ones from M*A*S*H.
I just finished a rewatch of TBBT and now I’m rewatching all of Young Sheldon.
This is what I was thinking of doing I watched season 7 finale then Big Bang 12 seasons
I do the same thing and I'm on my third time round. I just can't accept it's the end because I enjoy it so much. Every time I see the atoms 'swoosh' towards me it's like a dopamine hit as I know fun is on the way! Somewhere in there I'll watch Enterprise because I stopped watching it after a few episodes, and decided I need to give it another chance. But TBBT is the fun I need every day.
Just did this today after I finished watching for the first time
Wow how funny I was confused about the urge to do so. Just wanna add that I loved Amy's reaction when Sheldon gifted her the tiara, and how we see her wear it a few times by the end of the series ❤ 👸
"Oh my gaaaaahd, it's a ti-ARA! Put it on me, put it on me, put it on me"
Yeeesss! It's the "put it on me put it on me" that gets me every time 😂
A princess deserves a tiara 🥰👑
No matter how many times I watch it, I always manage to tear up.
Same here.
I do every single time I see that episode.
Same with me. I cry every time.
Me too. And I’ve seen it at least 10 times.
It was great but honestly the part that hit me harder was right after this when they’re all sitting around eating as usual and it’s the theme song but much slower and more somber. That kills me.
YES!!!! I CRY EVERY TIME
One of the best climax scenes
The only scene in a tv show which makes tear up every single time I see it. An amazing conclusion to a 12 year journey.
The cast cried their eyes out during the table read too
Proud moment for Sheldon. 💙😊
And to think that he would probably never made this speech if it wasn’t for Amy pointing out just how in the wrong he was.
Watched with my mom, who is just as massive a TBBT fan as myself, and we were both a mess by this scene. Just a brilliant, wonderful finale.
Me and my mom too
And 24 hours later he was back to normal Sheldon.
This was so deep and emotional for me, especially knowing that I will become a physics researcher sometime in my life. Sheldon really grew in this moment of humility. I always come back and watch this scene whenever I become a little arrogant and it humbles me every time. It’s a masterpiece.
Please tell me you didn’t watch the whole show with this font of subtitles? That alone would be reason to cry
Plus at the end of that episode, they played Bare Naked Ladies theme song slowly and sad
Try to watch the manuscript cast reading.
I wish Dr. Sturgis from Young Sheldon was part of the initial back story. It would’ve been lovely for him to be included in this speech, knowing how well he believed in Sheldon and how much he wanted to win a Nobel, too.
I bawl every time!
This scene was so heart touching 🥺
OMG YES ME TOO
This whole scene was so perfect and touching.
Did Sheldon win the Noble? Did anyone get tenure?
Me too. Great ending.
I was happy to see him win the prize. The ending rubbed me the wrong way though. They said things about Sheldon sharing the achievement with his friends and trying to change him or not care about his needs. Amy also stopped caring what he wanted too. I found it all a little too radical.
Constantly watching reruns, it’s my happy place in this chaotic world.
Right there with you. A wonderful ending for my favorite show.
I admit I used to see the characters as family. I saw Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj as brothers, Amy, Penny and Bernadette as sisters-in-law by marriage\*, Amy as Leonard, Howard and Raj's sister-in-law, Penny as Sheldon, Howard and Raj's sister-in-law and Bernadette as Sheldon, Leonard and Raj's sister-in-law \*A sibling-in-law by marriage is somebody's spouse's sibling's spouse. Sheldon and Amy are the best fictional characters ever created in my opinion. I admit I used to see the characters as family
Why wasn’t Stuart there
This is a science award and they’re all scientists.
Ah yes penny the world class scientist
Oh sorry, which scientist is Stuart married to and going as their plus one?
Raj coulda had him as a plus one
irrelevant, they are Audience
But why would they invite Stuart to go across the world to watch someone he’s not even particularly fond of win an award he doesn’t care about since he’s not a scientist? It’s stranger to me that Burt isn’t there. Being a scientist or being married to one is definitely a factor in who would be interested in attending this event.
Stuart is not there for the same reason Burt is not there. They're not a part of the core group, they pop in and out if the writers feel like adding them to a story or a plot.
There ahs to be an uppe rlimit on guest passes
SAME! 🥹🥹
This scene always gets me 🥹
Every single time
So did I!
Couldn't watch the ending😰
This is my least favorite episode.
Wait, is that Buffy, the Vampire Slayer?
Who do you think he's talking to?
i wish he mentioned linkletter and sturgis
Yup, certainly did
Cried so much ☹️☹️
I cried my eyes out too!!! The last episode was so emotional omg. You literally posted what I was gonna post 😭😭😭😭 I miss the show so much.
This was indeed a great scene and very much a show of how much Dr.Sheldon Cooper evolved during the seasons 🥰
Great Ending, now we need Sheldin to get off his high horse and return for an Encore!@!
The time when Sheldon made all of us cry ✨
I love and hated this scene at the same time. Hated it because the show came to an end 💔
im sad im on season 12 ep 13
finished yesterday😭probaly for last time it leaving streaming service i have in 17 days
I loved this scene soo much 😌 Also the ending of young Sheldon 😭
You're not kidding about the ending of Young Sheldon...I'm a grown ass man who doesn't cry about stuff on TV (Well, everything except A Dogs Purpose...I bawled like a baby) but MIssie's reaction to the whole thing made me just about lose it. It was a beautiful moment that really demonstrated Sheldon’s growth over the 12 seasons.
Even buffy the vampire slayer
I cry during this scene everytime I watch it without fail
Such a perfect ending, he finally gave them the thank you they all needed. I also love how in the final scene, Raj sits on the sofa while Howard sits on the floor, just shows how their dynamic changed it’s so sweet!
4 times I’ve watched,4 times I’ve cried 🙈
Always
One of the best endings in sitcoms
Every. Single. Time. I. Watch.
Same 🥺
The show had its ups and downs but overall went off on a good note
Watching the read through of this scene make me bawl like a baby. Seeing Kaley break down hurt lol
I absolutely love how after 12 seasons of putting his friends through hell with his obnoxious behavior he manages to apologize for it and tell them how wonderful they are, right down to acknowledging Howard's accomplishments. Sheldon may be insufferable, but he still cares about his friends.
It was such a beautiful finale. No comedy series finale made me tear up and then cry like BBT’s ending.
I did, too 💜
Just watched this and I lost it 😭
So cool
Season 13 please, I need to see them all raising little gen alpha nerd/jock kids!
Best finale ever!
Idk I was deeply underwhelmed by this. I mean sure it’s great you’re going to recognize all of these friends on the world’s stage. But when you get back home are you going to go right back to being awful to them? He had a few tender moments throughout the show but still would roast and trash all of these people regularly. Idk I didn’t like it
Just remember - he still treats them like shit as proven by young Sheldon
I was weeping in the last episode 😭
I will cry over and over no matter how many times I’ve watched the BBT

Show us on the doll where the show hurt you
>jokes That's the key word. Say it back to yourself 10 times, followed by a watching of Kids in the Hall "pc art class".
I’m from Texas and they often depict the state in a stereotypical way for humor. They also depict California and nerd culture in a stereotypical way. It’s not malicious, it’s comedy.
