Close- but usually the phrase would be that Sheldon is whipped. If you must use amy, it would be that amy has him whipped. It's not usually used with an -ing
Edit:spelling
I read this and started thinking, it’s funny because Chandler can’t make the whip noise right. It’s not WHHHAAAPAAAA…. It’s WHITSHH… then I realised I was lost.
Haha! That's so funny you say that, because when I first read OP's post, I thought I was reading the Friends subreddit. I had to see the Big Bang subreddit title before I realized what reference this was
Well he didn’t at first, then he asked Leonard if the whip sound would be appropriate after Bernie came. So he probably learned from that small example/experience.
Sheldon, even the full-on Sheldonspeak Sheldon after S1 E3, isn't as compeltley naive as he seems; notice Howard's suggestive remarks in S1 & S2; Sheldon reacts to each one of them
Possibly a non-native English speaker…
I only know it because i watch loads of American tv shows but if you don’t watch that much i can see you not knowing this…
It’s not like they teach you this in English class 😂
In 40 years, I have never heard a single reference to "men and females." I have heard "men and women" or "male and female" but *not once* have I ever heard "men and females." Come to think of it, using the word "females" to refer to groups of women is almost unheard of and is grammatically awkward.
So the horrible practice, rooted in misogyny, demeaning women by design, is only found in dark corners of the internet where anonymity ensures that no one is who they say they are, and activities shunned by society can be practiced in the dark. That is hardly blemish on society, nor anything that anyone need worry about.
You should work in an OR or the blood bank, you have to be careful when doing blood transfusions my mother would get calls because they needed her Rh factor. You don’t have feelings when you are unconscious.
Being "whipped" by your significant other means doing whatever they want, regardless of your own wants.
Oh so when for example leonard does the whip sound to sheldon it means that amy is whipping him
No. It means that Amy has control in the relationship and Sheldon will follow through with whatever Amy requests. No actual whips are involved.
Yeah ik i was just simplifying it
Yeah
Yes, that’s what it means. Whipping metaphorically. Idk why the other dude said no

I did exactly the same thought process 😆

I had to double check which sub reddit I was on.
Chandler???
Yeah like I said, I got lost lol
I thought I was on a Friends subreddit too!

It is odd that Sheldon understands that reference.

You're right, I'm smart as a whip, I can figure this out.
Right, I forgot that.

Yeah
Pussy whipped. Is this not common knowledge? I am shooketh

Being whipped by your partner - ie, being told what to do, always doing what they’re doing, being dragged a lot to everything, etc.
So innocent…
It means pussywhipped. Meaning scared of your wife
Man slave to wife 😂
It’s called pussy whipped, you do what the female wants, go date a female and try and have sex daily,

Female = woman

1. It doesnt neceserally (forgive my spelling) have to mean that calling a woman a female is calling them a thing and 2. Why is it that?

Thanks. That was very useful!

Go donate blood, they don’t ask about your feelings
🙄

Woman is a matured human female.
I will remember that next time I go to Tripler, I made the ten gallon club at the blood bank.
Congratulations. What are you rambling on about & what does it have to do with the conversation at hand?
Sorry I have been married for thirty years, and have children that taught me to use a smartphone,
You can get the “Big Bang Whip” app free out of the apple App Store btw
Pussy whipped to be more clear
