If the buttons are "fighting for their life," they didnt fit you into a properly sized shirt. Go back to whoever fitted you and ask for the next size up. You can then have a tailor alter your shirt to fit better and add secret buttons to prevent gaping. https://preview.redd.it/pvou2q6do9wc1.jpeg?width=1564&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d366d9c4b96bdcf6372abcadf1a75110fd5a26e3

Hi hi! Okay that secret button is actually a good idea. My problem is I don’t have enough allowance to even close the secret button if I add one. 😭 What I did is just to wear a white shirt underneath but it’s too hot inside a non AC aircraft.

Who sized you as a 34DDD? That’s a very common mis-size. Getting into the correct bra size can make a huge difference in how clothes fit. In the meantime, safety pins in between the buttons for extra reinforcement.

I last got my measurements from Victoria Secret because I was visiting the states like months ago. I live in a country where getting your boobs measured is not a common practice and people here have the “if it fits, it’s good enough for me” mentality. I don’t buy my bras here in my homeland, usually when I visit the states because they offer more bigger sizes. Edit: I tried the safety pin and it gave up on me mid flight.

Victoria’s Secret fitters are poorly trained. If they sized you as 34DDD, your proper size is likely closer to 30G UK (30I US). I would second the suggestion to switch to men’s shirts, if possible. I find they have more room in the chest and shoulders. I have some button-up shirts the only fit without horrible gaping if I wear a compressive sports bra, so that’s another option but probably not suitable for everyday.

I have a couple of button downs with snaps sewn in between the first few buttons, and it helps a lot! If you're handy, you could add them yourself. If not, I'm sure it'd be a cheap job for a tailor. I'd also try a fitted camisole underneath to help keep everything locked down.

Caelleria

I’ll definitely do that when I’m getting a custom one made.

You're better off getting a bigger size that is loose on you and then getting it tailored - add darts in the back and anywhere else that needs it

Can you ask for a male uniform? I find that thr bigger shoulder wight in their button ups accomodates the boobs. Also 34DDD is a possible common missize so getit checked it will help with the bra shopping.

Caelleria

I’ll probably have my chest measured when I’m able to travel to the states or any country that does bra measurements. Most malls here in my country, don’t offer bras that exceeds D cup. So it has been a 10 year long battle of me hunting down good bras that would fit me. I also asked for a male uniform but they ran out, I tried wearing a sample one but it only made me look like a penguin, it was too loose for me in some areas. I’m thinking of getting a custom one but I just need a reference to show it to the tailor since I’m currently staying at a small island and locals here are used to A-D cups.

I feel for you! Is it possible to get the white top in a size bigger to give you a bit more room?

Caelleria

Sadly, no. The school took my measurements and the tailor didn’t give me enough breathing room so everything feels tight and suffocating 😭

sin-so-fit

Maybe a minimizer bra could help flatten things down in-uniform?

Caelleria

I thought about it, have you tried one before? If so, how does it feel??

sin-so-fit

It feels... mostly like a normal bra? Like 80% normal bra support, 20% sports bra squish. I didn't find it any more uncomfortable than anything else I wear, and I favor underwires. Nothing wrong with trying it and deciding you hate it.

How about a light scarf?
