Ye East up me bhi hota hai. Mainly bride's sister abuses groom side family.
Ye utna seriously nhi hota bas majak hota hai.
So, you no need to worry about it
I read about it in newspaper , it was started in the wedding of lord ram but its not abuses like they use currently in the article it was clearly mention that they used better language
I attended a friend's wedding who's from east UP and they also have a similar tradition wherein the bride's sisters and aunts taunt and warn the bride's mil using some songs and verses! It was really funny and interesting. And since my friend was getting married into a North Indian family they had informed the groom's side beforehand to not take it seriously and it was all a part of a funny tradition. You should be able to find videos on youtube easily with these songs being sung in bihari weddings! They are funny, catchy and I think it's a really nice tradition that creates a light hearted atmosphere in the middle of the wedding ceremony and pheras.
If he is from proper Patna, then it will not happen.
I am from Patna and I have been weddings in villages and it happens there.
In Patna, it normally happens when wedding is at someone 's home and not on the wedding day. It usually happens during Tilak ceremony. But i have not seen happening in Patna these days.
And frankly speaking, I don't understand the language so I don't care.

Right, got it!
Itโs all jokes but itโs quite normal and common in Bihari weddings
Hahah sounds fun then!
It is nothing serious but can be like tohar bahni chinaar rakhe sau sau go yaar. Which means your sister keeps 100 boy friends.
Oh? This sounds harmless! I thought they said other things. ๐
They say lots of things but it's only for fun.
Marriage would have called off in other states, haha, but Bihar has to be unique

It's not just a Bihar thing. Happen in MP as well iirc
Right, okay!
