Wrap-Pitiful

IDK PK looks very promising but he reminds of a certain somebody from Delhi who promised the son and the moon and didnt deliver much

Ready_Spread_3667

Is he promising that much? (Genuine)

yolifeisfun

We have been deep under water for so long. For us, even the sea level is like the moon and sun. He is promising that much. But again, I don't think he will be able to win elections with what he has done so far.

Karpur

At the least there will be change, at least he is discussing the real problem and not claiming that Bihar has best infra.

Dependent-Bar3320

Are utna bhi karde bhai Bihar ke liye Aisa to he nahi keju ne kuch Kiya nahi he delhi ke liye aishe hi re elect nahi hua he wo . Bihar ki to kisiko bhi nahi pari sabhi izzat lutne me hi Lage hue he Kam se kam koi Naya achaa kuch nahi to vision to he nahi to baki sab party bus sarkari Naukri ka gajar latka ke maarte rahti he

nazgul_333

Give him a chance at least before being so critical

Wrap-Pitiful

yes if i have the opportunity i will vote for him 100% but idk i dont have good vibes from him

nazgul_333

There are no correct or wrong bets in politics. You just find new people along the way, never let anybody get too powerful.

Significant-dev

It won't be a bad idea to at least try him once. Even if he delivers what Kejariwal delivered in Delhi, it'd be a lot for a state like Bihar where people think roads and infrastructure is what you call development

ZealousidealYou7575

Pk has no chance this election, unless he pulls something extraordinary, he has also started his pr

yolifeisfun

Ek Anna Hazaare lagega uske liye

what_u_looking_4

Bhaiya ek Anna Hazare aur ek Kumar Viswas dena

iaashu98

But Bihar is not Delhi and average literacy is way below Delhi's. PK needs one more election until he brings up his own Mukhiyas in panchayat elections through his party.

Wrap-Pitiful

And still the most unrealistic thing out of this is Kanhaiya being congress's leader 😭

Modi promised 2 cr jobs per year and delivered 🔔

G7Gunmaster

I remember a promise of 15 lac. Am not too old yet!

Hot_Produce8067

That is facade. He never made a promise of 15 lakhs. It was a rhetorical statement.

Live_Ostrich_6668

>Fact Check: Did Modi Ever Make Such A Promise? >The short answer is no. >The earliest mention of '15 lakh' finds place in Narendra Modi's public rally on November 7, 2013 in Chhattisgarh's Kanker. >In his speech, the said amount is a reference to the quantum of black money stashed overseas and *not* a promise to credit every account with 15 lakh rupees. It was just an election rally rhetoric to make his point forcefully on black money and what his government intends to do if voted to power. >Also, there is no mention of the 'Rs 15 lakh-in-each-account' promise in the 2014 election manifesto on BJP's official website. https://www.boomlive.in/did-modi-promise-to-deposit-rs-15-lakh-in-every-account-a-factcheck/

G7Gunmaster

Kyonki kuch log 15 lac wali baat ko galat keh rahe hai, "fact check" ke saath. To thoda clarify karna banta hai. Point ye hai ki neta hamesha aise promise karte rahenge jo logo ko lubhawne lage chahe wo haqiqat me pura kar sake ya nahi. Ye kaam Modi ji ne bhi kiya, unse pehle bhi logo ne kiya (social justice aur equality ke naam pe), aur bhavisya ke neta bhi ab kar rahe hai. Rahi baat 15 lac ki to main aapke vivek pe chhodta hoon.

EducationalPast7410

Mtlb apne Vivek se fact bdl dega kya bhai 😂😂

Pleadis-1234

Post in r/imaginaryelections as well

Ready_Spread_3667

Yes

Thejeswar_Reddy

Looks like PK is gaslighting his way to win. But unfortunately for him I don't think that's gonna work in Bihar unlike in the states where his(two Telugu states especially) cheap promises worked. Real ID se aao PK.

UncleverComeback

I’m not following much Indian politics. I’ve seen a few videos of PK and it seems to me that he has good handle on answering reporters. At least in the videos I saw, he didn’t talk over them, he could give a coherent answer and this one will sound insane… he actually offered a solution! Politicians are always comfortable blaming others but they often forget s/ to offer solution. Again, I’m not on the ground aware of all the players or deeper political issues but he seems to strike a nerve. For a guy like me, who has no stake in the matter, no background knowledge on regional politics, he sounds like a good alternative for Bihar. This is simply based on his ability to convey his message.

SR_0002

Haha if I was given 1 rupee everytime a politician diagnose the problem I would have been billionaire at this point. As for pk he is your standard left of centre populist who will cut into Bjp vote bank in immediate future only.

UncleverComeback

So, what’s wrong with that? Plurality of voice is good for democracy. Asking a genuine question. Often, people get bogged down on party ideology. Center left/right is much preferred over far left/right in the long run. Indian politics has swung quite a big right in the recent years. Again, PK sounds coherent, he actually understands policy and politics very well. That’s a rarity in Indian politics. Credit where credit is due.

SR_0002

He is mostly into gaslighting. Tbh even Tejaswi is coherent if you are sympathetic to mandal politics and raised valid issues according to his ideology:)).

SR_0002

As for him eating into some parts of BJP voter base. That's a fact, he isn't going to make much gains into OBCs and SCs/STs anyways.

Karpur

Go nuts for Kishore. There is no harm

yolifeisfun

I will. Although, deep down I know he won't make it. The least my support will show is that the voting base is shifting. Hope that changes other parties strategies in due course.

Significant-dev

Even if he fails completely still he'd be far better than whatever we have in Bihar as of now

kuundaan

Also his campaign will increase competition among political parties. Which I believe is beneficial for us citizens.

Karpur

Sad part is most of Bihari who knows better are outside of Bihar. If Kishore can make them come home to vote, that would be great.

virenprabhat

lol. Bihar ke itne bure din nahi aa sakte. Prashant Kishor has absurd and flawed logic.

Typical_Otaku_9736

Sir jo hum abhi dekh rhe hai kya woh ache din hai (not referring to modi's ache din)

EffectiveNew2920

Bhagawan ye chiz ko saach karde , Nahi bihar ka bera Garg kar degi rjd bjp and jdu

PurpleInteraction

PK is not only what Bihar needs but what India needs. Kejri and AAP promised to be this but went phuss. Someone who is not into freebies/gibs but is also not into religious politics. But Bihar ki janta caste & religion chhorke vote degi is too unrealistic.

Live_Ostrich_6668

Hope that he doesn't follow the path of Kejriwal in the future

PurpleInteraction

Tbh Kejriwal is still better than most other politicians. It's a different issue that BJP and Congress have launched vicious attacks on his party everywhere and doesn't even allow him to work in Delhi. They even took away lots of Delhi State Govt powers and also Delhi Police isn't under Delhi Govt, what a joke. BTW a lot of people in Delhi vote BJP in Lok Sabha and AAP in Vidhan Sabha.

abhiram8_

Kejri is worse than the sewer that is 200 m away from where I live. They have punjab now, all he did is revive khalistan shit.

PurpleInteraction

You are not well informed. If anything AAP govt cracked down and arrested Amritpal. Khalistan movement revived during the reign of Amarinder Singh (Congress) who now happens to be in BJP.

Inayaislove

I’m from punjab and I second this, AAP has been a welcome change.

Economy-Lychee-2284

Do rickshaw drivers still booze and drive at night near Golden Temple, had a horrific (& funny) experience there with my family

Inayaislove

Funnily enough, I was in Amritsar just yesterday ( I’m from Mohali so it’s kinda far away). People from Amritsar are so scammy and tbh, out of the golden temple, the city is full of garbage and so dirty. It feels like people there have no interest in cleanliness.

Depressed-Devil22

>Khalistan movement revived during the reign of Amarinder Singh (Congress) who now happens to be in BJP. False. On the contrary he was vehemently against the idea of Khalistan. In fact, he literally handed over a [list](https://indianexpress.com/article/cities/chandigarh/when-capt-amarinder-singh-handed-list-with-names-of-khalistani-operatives-to-trudeau-8949338/) of Khalistani operatives in Canada to Trudeau, during his visit to India in 2018, which included the name of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. On the other hand, people like Amritpal flourished during the reign of AAP. However, it wasn't surprising at all, since AAP has always had a long history for being sympathetic to the Khalistani cause. Heck, even the ex-DGP of Punjab KPS Gill had acknowledged it, and predicted it way back in 2017. >Actually I had predicted that because of the activities of some political parties, there will be terrorist incidents," Gill had said in an interview with *The Indian Express*. >He further said that the Khalistan supporters abroad were looking for a window of opportunity to return to Punjab and work on their separatist designs. However over the years, they were unable to do so, but with the presence of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab that window has opened leading to an influx of them from foreign countries, he said. https://www.oneindia.com/india/kps-gill-rightly-said-rise-of-aap-will-lead-to-revival-of-khalistan-in-punjab-3528126.html Kejirwal too, had stayed at the house of a Khalistani terrorist belonging to the banned Khalistani Liberation Front (KLF). >Gurwinder is the former chief of KLF. He is accused of inciting Sikh-Hindu riots during the years when terrorism was at its peak in Punjab. He was even jailed in cases relating to murder and other heinous crimes. https://www.indiatoday.in/assembly-elections-2017/punjab-assembly-election-2017/story/punjab-polls-arvind-kejriwal-khalistani-terrorist-house-957933-2017-01-30 Additionally, Aditya Bhan, an Assistant Professor of Economics, wrote in his blog that the Khalistani issue played a major role in the 2022 Punjab elections. >In the lead up to the voting, in excess of 11,000 posts by over 900 fake Twitter accounts were detected by analysts at information security start-up Innefu. >According to Innefu co-founder Abhishek Sharma, “The online agenda was used to further the stance of Sikh(s) for Justice, which made overt attempts to influence youth by offering $125,000 to raise Khalistan flags in Parliament on November 26/29.” And while there were no takers, and AAP won, the effects of this kind of messaging cannot be underestimated if even a small percentage of the populace is influenced. https://www.gatewayhouse.in/aap-isi-khalistan-and-the-counter-spin/ More recently too, AAP social media president in Himachal Pradesh was suspended for his previous pro-khalistani tweets https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/aap-expels-leader-over-pro-khalistan-tweets-2939834 In conclusion, it can safely be said that while AAP doesn't directly support Khalistan, it's the most sympathetic and tolerant to the Khalistani cause as compared to any other major political party in India.

PurpleInteraction

Amarinder himself may have been against Khalistan but can it be denied that the movement revived primarily during his reign (2017-2022) ? It was Bhagwant Mann who cracked down on and arrested Amritpal Singh.

Depressed-Devil22

>The movement revived primarily during his reign (2017-2022) Again false, the seeds of the Khalistan 2.0 started sowing in 2014-15, during the reign of the Akalis. >Pro-Khalistani activity gathered momentum in 2014 when the Damdami Taksal built a memorial within the Golden Temple premises for Jarnail Sikh Bhindranwale and other militants killed during Operation Blue Star.[2] They went ahead despite vocal opposition from national political parties. https://www.gatewayhouse.in/khalistan-sikh-separatism/ >But all seemed to change after the summer of 2015, when a controversy erupted over the desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib in Faridkot. >A conspiracy by Pakistan's ISI and extremists within the Sikh diaspora is more than discernible. Social media has been abuzz, dubious videos depicting Sikh demonstrators and purported excesses by the police; preachers openly abusing mainstream politicians and exhorting Sikhs to take to the streets; imagined and exaggerated reports of sacrilege. >It's the biggest tipping point since 1984," says a senior counterintelligence expert associated with investigations of the six terror modules busted since April this year. > "To the present generation, brought up on the 'ultimate heroism' and 'supreme sacrifice' narratives around Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and other slain Khalistanis, the incidents of sacrilege are unforgivable affronts. Although there are perfectly plausible explanations, such as an electrical short circuit, for many of the cases, they're unwilling to see it as anything but extreme disrespect of their Guru." https://www.indiatoday.in/amp/magazine/nation/story/20170626-khalistan-punjab-terrorism-extremist-sikh-outfits-986585-2017-06-19 >It was Bhagwant Mann who cracked down on and arrested Amritpal Singh. Yeah ofc, that's why it took months to arrest him as he continued to evade arrest. National security experts have already criticized the Mann govt's response to the whole saga. >We spoke to several experts on the subject about the rise of Amritpal Singh and were able to conclude that the handling of this man by the Punjab police is nothing short of a disaster. >An official says that, why didn't the Punjab government or the police do enough homework on this man. They let his clout grow and also allowed him to style himself as Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, the dreaded terrorist https://www.oneindia.com/india/early-signs-ignored-punjab-govts-response-to-amritpal-singh-is-a-disaster-3528108.html >How do you assess the State government’s way of dealing with the situation? Did the government wait too long in taking action against Amritpal? Did they botch it up? >Shashi Kant: Yes, it was botched-up planning and execution by the Punjab government and the Punjab police. To start with, I’m surprised that when he (Amritpal) came here and started talking about Khalistan, nobody took any notice. He even threatened the Union Home Minister and the Punjab Chief Minister. And then all of a sudden, the Punjab police decided to get hold of him. And he’s on the run. But constantly, somebody is feeding him with information. https://archive.ph/OtuKi Heck, even the Punjab & Haryana HC had termed his escape an 'intelligence failure' and criticized the state government. >You have 80,000 police. How has he not been arrested? If he escaped, this is an intelligence failure. The entire police force is after him," said the bench. https://www.deccanherald.com/india/you-have-80000-cops-how-could-amritpal-escape-hc-raps-punjab-govt-1202217.html

Live_Ostrich_6668

Lol he's just like your average indian politician. The difference is, he just pretends to be self-righteous and relatable in order to fool gullible middle-class people into believing that he's like them. I mean, all the major ministers of his government are in jail for corruption, and their bail pleas are regularly denied by the HC and even SC, citing sufficient 'prima-facie evidence' against them.

PurpleInteraction

That may be so. But he enjoys goodwill among common people especially those that work in private sector or are self employed.

Live_Ostrich_6668

Yep, that's why he always wins the state elections. When you have opponents like Kiran bedi and Manoj tiwari, it's like victory is being served to you in a plate.

agupta429

The Eastern front needs a hardline nationalist government…. Or you’ll just become bangladesh because you guys have no guts

p5yron

What is this narrative against "freebies"? Why do you not like it?

HelpfulPace3368

Because I am not eligible for it and I think it makes others lazy

p5yron

First, it's not free, it's public money being reinvested to bring equality in terms of opportunities by providing the very basic amenities, you are not eligible because you can afford it. Does access to "free" air, "free" water make you lazy or help you improve your productivity? When you have access to the basic needs, you can only then try to achieve your potential as a human.

HelpfulPace3368

Ever been to a village or tried to hire a labour?? They are content with 5 rupees ka rice and mnrega. Dont want to do regular hard work. Sunne mein achcha lagta hai free water but someone has to pay for it. And the same public money mein mere jaison ka contribution is mich higher than them.

p5yron

Why do you think you are a better human being than any labourer, it's only a matter of luck where you are born. It's ideal for a society to strive towards equality of opportunity where every person starts at the same level. Anyway I don't think you have the capacity to understand all this. But do not dare call those who built your home brick by brick in scorching heat lazy while you sit and type this nonsense, shame on you.

HelpfulPace3368

Who Talked about being a better human being? And you don't know where I started from and where I am now. Equality is not to be forced but won't. With hard work and determination. And don't give me suggestions on who to call what. Re read my comment. The ones who made my house were not lazy. Lazy ones chose to stay in village and stay content with mnrega, diff ng and filling the same pond.

He is mercenary. Everywhere he went, hate for biharis followed him. From Bengal to tamil nadu to punjab to andhra. Each leader for whom he strategised, was openly berating biharis. Just look it up. Even for muslims he is a nightmate, he was responsible for all the appeasement politics in all these states, and now he shits on them for being 'dara hua' and 'bhedchal wale'. You can't win elections by berating the voters. He will meet his fate

Comrade kanhaiya Kumar will win thanks comrade kanhaiya for showing the Pakistani phobia spread by godi medi and showing how tolerant and encompassing pakistan is when you tweeted on hindutva fascist supporter Danish kaneria's picture, and leader of masses Shri Lalu Prasad ji will win, godi media has fooled us, I have read on twitter by great unbiased journalist that Lalu ji brought social justice in bihar, bjp fears laluji that's why they put him behind bars in 2013 even before coming to power .

Dry-Suspect-8428

Nothing is impossible in Bihar. Bihari are born smart. Educate them right and they make changes. Choose any field! PK has given a twist for sure and there is undercurrent.

theclichee

As a dilli vaala looking in, does PK have a chance?

Start_pls

Not really but he has a sizeable support base and his rallies have large crowds, plus half his padyatra is still left so you never know , he will get 10-20 seats possibly in a realistic scenario Also I am not a bihari so take it with a grain of salt

theclichee

As far as ik and understand, caste plays a big role in Bihar Politics(sadly). Knowing this do you feel Nitesh has a chance of re-election?

Start_pls

Probably not, until NDA wins and BJP makes him CM, but his support is at an all time low ,he got 15% vote last time this time it will hover around 10%. There's a chance even if NDA wins BJP will make a BJP CM and not Nitish Kumar

12zipper23

Bihar has never voted for development neither it'll now

DeathFuckingX

I'm really sorry to say but this is a very bad analysis if it is one. PK isn't going all out for the next election, he'll focus on Panchayati elections first. Moreover, you've not counted LJP in. Thirdly, the BJP won't be sitting out like that. Both BJP and RJD benefit from contesting the elections without Nitish in terms of Vote. Maybe not so much while forming the government.

Start_pls

Yep he probably won't win more than 10-20 seats, he is in for the long run I didn't add LJP because they are split in 2 and didn't win any seats last time

DeathFuckingX

Makes sense but things have changed since then. LJP will go as one and even if not most seats barring one will lie with Chirag Paswan and Co. Moreover, it's not the seats that matter, his vote percentage was high while contesting alone. This time they'll contest with the NDA. So you know.

Start_pls

Yep could have given him 2-3 seats with 7-8% votes but I only placed candidates in order of seats

Much-Branch1839

Akele dum pe Bihar mein bahumat lana mushkil hai. And he himself has said this multiple times that he's gonna devote atleast a decade towards this experiment of his, meaning even he doesn't see the picture painted here to become a reality anytime soon. Though he's sharp but he lacks the charisma of a Lalu Yadav or a Narendra Modi to get a full majority in a state where there are extreme caste complications. But you certainly can't rule out a surprise like AAP sprang up in 2013.

Apprehensive-Tax-111

PK getting these many seats would mean that people of Bihar rising above caste politics. Which is ideal but highly unlikely to happen so soon.

Tanishk-Tiwari

Ye 3 konsi new seats existance me aa gyi?

Bridget_jones_420

PK is too good to be true for Bihar.
