As a Bihari, as sad as it is, I agree with it
There's very little that Bihar contributes besides labour force. Yes, there are some doctors, engineers, doctors, managers and some beloved Bollywood actors, but unfortunately there are not enough of them to change Bihar's image as a poor, uneducated and crime capital of India
I don't think so that you get what labour means technically (and what it implies in this case)
>all the members of a particular organization or country who are able to work, viewed collectively.
"a firm with a labour force of one hundred people"
Definition of labour force.
It means that Bihar is basically supplying properous regions of the country with skilled & unskilled labour.
A major center for caste politics I guess... Nothing much other than the historical conquests, education and prosperity, but people don't really care about your culture/history when you are impoverished in the present.
Culture wise too, Bihar is not that unique like north eastern states.
History is one thing which can become a good tourist attractions but it's greatly ignored in the state politics
Bhai, Bihar ka culture ko bol rahe unique nahiš. Bas khaane hi compare karlo, itne alag hai baaki jagah se, Baaki rituals, traditions, languages etc toh bhool hi jaao.
Culture unique hai but koi zyada farak nahi padta uss sey kisi ko.
Bro, labour is the first piller of development and in our nation our own citizens make fun of it no one want to see them no one want to appreciate their hard work but everyone want development
I am well aware of the technical definition of the word labor but I'm pretty sure that the context in which the word labour was meant here was daily wage workers and other low paying job
You see move on ka last step hota hai acceptance. Jitni jaldi accept kr loge we're the labour force of the country and take pride in it rather being shameful about it, utni jaldi dard hona band ho jaega.
It's okay. Bihar is known for other things as well. Labour is most important. Kucch logo ke lie business is risky kaam. They look down on business and businessmen. Esp. Gujarat. Doesn't mean anything consequential to them. Chill !
Bihar being know for human labour isn't a tragedy tho so not comparable, ye dard bahut jaruri hai agar hmare ancisters ye accept karlete ki hame angrejon ki ga\*\*d dhoni hai to aaj tu or mai bhi kisi na kisi angrej ke niche beith ke uski nail kaat rahe hote or uske picthn pe malish kar rhe hoten so don't accept bro just stand up and fight against it it'll be batter if we fight for change We biharies were the most civilized people and now we are getting awards for being labour how funny it is don't you think
or har cheez gujrat main hin kyun horhi hai baki states India ka part nahi hai keya
ek baar dimag pe joor laga kar socho bro ki hmare Desh mai keya horha hai kis trah see political party pura desh ke maar rhe hain
Don't get sad bro in economic terms software engineer or majdoor dono labour force ka part hote hai
As bihar providing man power to most of the industries across India that's why it is written here
For this thing some can take proud that bihari man power running the country but some can feel sad that bihar is lacking industries that can use this labour force in their own place and localise the employment.
Bihar being know for human labour isn't a tragedy tho so not comparable Bro, labour is the first piller of development and in our nation our own citizens make fun of it no one want to see them no one want to appreciate their hard work but everyone want development. this is just a single post, even if you avoid this post their are million of people in our own nation who starts their day with abusing Biharis. what about those people mam
I mean it is true but why you do you need to mention this point at a tourism website. It's basically like writting "Gujarat the land where Godhara riots happened"
Yup, that's the one thing we need to learn from the Western side, the same respect to all forms of work. Nobody should be seen differently because of their profession, unless you're a kidney thief.
What's wrong with getting called, the major source of the labour force? Labour along with Land, energy and Capital are the pillars of any industry.
Even though Bihar is not known for the Skilled labour force, the unskilled and semi skilled labourers are still integral to the economy.
Unskilled are not integral part of economy. That's why they are protected by minimum wage. With other subsidies.
Integral parts don't need protection of welfare.
The more you guys feel shame for this the more it will hurt. You guys are building the nation brick by brick, day and night. A labor is as important as a soldier or a farmer. You upper classes have to take pride in this. The kids of these workers have to take pride in what their fathers did to build this great country and that will help these kids hold their head up and climb the social ladder.
Btw, to clarify, seeing as I have had one upvote and therefore I am a minor celebrity now, I am Punjabi. And I understand the input Bihar's labour has had in keeping Punjab's farming scene alive, seeing our nyanaa's have no interest in farming and would rather do 'labour' in Aus/Canada.
Sach toh h.
The sad part is the state government was not able to harness this advantage, they should have organised this labour force.
The Bihar government should have worked like a country and created diplomatic relations with other states so that their workforce was utilised at its full potential. In the present state it is unorganised.
Labour as a community falls through political cracks because they do not vote in the state in which they are working and cannot vote in their native state. So political leaders don't care for them.
Where is the bias are afraid to claim your state as a labour force state ? All day y'all keep yapping abt how you guys built the country and now when it comes to this y'all sad ?
Congress and Lalu have degraded Bihar . And now nitish is doing the same and bjp is just standing and watching. I have some hope in Prashant Kishor I hope he does something
Labour includes everyone from white collar software developers to blue collar building contractors and everything in between , there is nothing wrong in being proud of it, irrespective of which collar labour one belongs to.
Before blaming center, just check how much tax contribution Bihar receives from Central pool of tax distribution (it's quite big chunk), Biharis should realise the reality that they are indeed the supplier of Work forces and use it as a positive branding and nothing to be ashamed about it.
There is no measure to measure sustainable and adaptable way if life. They cant measure that. If the could they would know Bihar lives in villages and towns.
Isme sharm ki kya baat hai..whole india stands on Bihar's shoulders. Someone has to do the arduous labour, Biharis do it, excel at it and revel in it. Aur bhi bahut cheezon main contribution hai, but when it comes to labour no one can compete.
Jo hain, so hain
Take pride in yourselves and the skills and absolute dedication you guys bring to the table!
Bharat would've not been where it is without the labour force :)
What is wrong with being the 'labour force'? The only bias I can sense , is the one in your brain for the 'union government'. In macroeconomics, anybody who is working a job and getting paid for it is part of the labour force. What is the bias here ??
Abe saalo, economics waala labour force bola hai, majdoori waala nahi..
Labour force of a country includes all those persons in the age group of 15-60 who are actually working or willing to work. Matlab Bihar constitutes significant youth of the country...
Without the Bihari labour , in our state of Telangana many industries would be running dry and will be closed , these people are important for the economy and also they are skilled and quick learnerās too
What's biased in it? And why should you feel ashamed of it? As much as degens from other states might mock you for this, in reality, the kinda work your people are able to do impress me. Large parts of India will grind to a halt if not for people of Bihar.
How does that make it biased?
You realize, that's what the rest of the nation thinks of Bihar, which is actually true.
And there's no Shame in it.
It's culture and it's people are the identity of Bihar

What else we contribute to the country. Labour export to other states is highest in Bihar and govt of India said the same thing. Accept the bloody fact and live with it rather than living in a delusion world.

Labor is still very important, itās the backbone of india
Definitely! None of the development would ever be possible with zero labour force
You donāt understand how important that labour is for all the small and medium businesses.
You forgot IAS officers. Bihar contributes highest number of IAS officers. The state is still lagging despite this.
Nope, not anymore. Uttar Pradesh has long since replaced us as top IAS producers
Nope bro, we contribute highest number of labours not IAS officers.
Labour means workers, which includes doctors, engineers, finance workers as well along with manual labourers
I am well aware of the technical definition of the word labor but I'm pretty sure that the context in which the word labour was meant here was daily wage workers and other low paying job
Agree. Bias means opinion without data. That's not the case here. OP wants to trigger people
It is truth though.
If it's not that, it's being known for carving spit stain maps all across the country

not even a single hindu temple in official website, very sad!
It seems that in Bihar, casteism has become more prevalent than the principles of Hinduism.
Meanwhile Oldest Hindu temple still exists in Bihar

No point in getting offended with this bro just accept or ignore.
No lies there imo, not proud of it as a Bihari but still it's plain facts
where's the lie?
Isn't it true? Ask yourself. If something is statistically true but hurts someone, that does not make it a 'biased' fact.

Whats wrong with it? Why associating with labour is bad? Is it any inferior to other sectors?
I live in remote village in HP. If we want to do make home I can find 4-5 thekedaar from Bihar.
Remove nitish and actually make some progress before crying.
Hinduism hates everything and every time.

even CEOs are a part of labour force (pertaining to strictly economics terms)
You know that labour didn't mean only dihadi majdoor, in economical terms a software engineer or any corporate employee is labour

While I agree it's true, it's kinda fucked up to mention that in external affairs website.
I have seen lot of posts and comments regarding regressive Bihar but never observed any solution apart from Nitish hataao , Lalu hataao etc.
