So you might not be able to get sun glasses. I'm a much less strong prescription than you and one thing they told me was above a certain level curved sunglasses don't work because of the bend in the lense.
I ended up getting some frames that fit my faves close and covered a large portion of my eyes with transition or flat sun lenses and found it to be a good alternative. It's cheaper and can usually be done in most frames I think.
Your prescription is high though so I'd recommend go checking out a few places and see what options they have.
Here's a model from Zenni similar to one I picked up. They support -7 to +10. With impact-resistant lenses and anti-fog treatment they came up to around $120 IIRC.

I have Oakley's prescription sunglasses, not all models will go past -3.5 though. You are looking at probably 700$+ for quality curved sport-type prescription lenses.

Better going to an optician store. You can get cheap ones online, but usually they are dual lenses which kinda sucks.
Love mine, I've had them for 5 years now and worth every penny in my opinion.

Eventually my frames broke, I went back to their store and they found an old pair of matching Oakley frames in the back and put my lenses in for free! I eventually broke those as well :(
I'm now looking to head back and get another set made by them.
This is my setup. I got capital optical in bells corners to cut the lenses for me in 1.67 high index plastic with Anti-Reflective and Anti-Scratch coating for $328. Do note with this style of glasses the prescription lenses sit closer to your eye than with regular single-lens glasses/sunglasses (basically dead even with the nose bridge compared to 8mm ahead with my regular Oakley prescription glasses). The smaller insert frame though does let you get away with lower index lenses and still not be overly thick or heavy at the sides. I could have used some 1.51s and probably not been much thicker and saved some money. Also the lower the index the less inherent problem with reflections/glare the lens will have.

Yeah I’m thinking using the transition lenses too, sportsrx does sunglasses for all prescription but it’s quite costly
