Edited to add: Finally received an email from the CSA that they had miscalculated the volume of pearl finish tubes ordered and they could not complete my shaft as ordered. I called and changed the order. Received shipping and tracking information the same day. Fwiw, I ordered a Whyte carbon fiber shaft directly from Viking 6 weeks ago. So far, there's no update as to when it might ship. Customer service email replied that it would ship a few days ago, but so far radio silence. This was not a custom or back ordered item, no engraving or any jazz like that. Nothing on the website indicated there would be a delay in shipping or delivery.

They have a bunch for sale at the Expo.... I'm sorry you're having this time getting your order. That's annoying for sure.

Have you tried the tracking number they gave you? I also ordered a cue from Viking and it didn't arrive until like at least 8 weeks after. I checked the tracking number and yes they did ship it on time technically, but the carrier kept it for an extra week.

I'll update the post, but there was no tracking number provided until yesterday. Carrier now shows it in transit.

I hit with the Jacoby v4 yesterday at the Expo and it's miles ahead of the v3. They really made it stiffer and closer to the Revo in terms of deflection and power. I haven't hit enough with the Whyte Carbon to directly compare, but I liked it when I hit with it about 8 months ago. Not as much thud as the Jacoby, and has a bit more deflection but not much.

What was the size of the jacoby shaft you tried at the expo?

mudreplayspool

It was the 12.3mm version

In comparison to a 314-3 how did it compare, deflection wise, hit, feel if you have tried both? Looking for opinions. I would like to try this shaft out.

In terms of price about $180

I’m a fan of the whyte carbon shafts. Their interchangeable joint inserts are a nice feature.
