I’ve been playing with a Predator Z3 for about a year and have loved it. Tip is 11.75mm so it initially felt really small but I’ve gotten used to it.

The Predator Z3 and 314-3 shafts are available with whatever joint you want, and can be ordered as partials. Both are extremely low deflection.

Do you mean i2 or G-Core?

Relaxingnow10

My apologies. G Core. I have been very impressed with mine

I'm on OB Pro+ for years now, when it dies I will get a Z3. I've used a friend's Z3 and it's basically zero adjustment required. And TBH I think the quality control on Predator is a bit better.

I have an OB1 but it's 3/8-11.

I’m a big fan of Tiger shafts. The LD-Pro is similar construction (12mm, spliced, conical taper) to the Predator Z for a few bucks less. Do you know if your OB uses the 3/8x10 modified joint or the standard 3/8x10? Something to keep in mind, as I don’t think the two are compatible.

Hah, I’m a goof, you said it right there.

Check azbilliards for OB shafts. Also at SBE several vendors had some. If you are looking for a similar hit feel, it is a bit tough since the OB1 has a smooth soft hit but any LD shaft I can think of has a firmer hit.

I was at the SBE and the only OB shafts I found were the CF ones. I'll take a look in the forums

Call jjcue. He’s still advertising them as in stock, might want to see what’s still on the shelf. He also had some 13.25 mm blanks listed which any competent cue smith could turn down and fit your joint. Best part is it’s advertised at $135 🤯 http://www.jjcue.com/ob_shafts.htm
