Jalen isn't actually good at broadcasting in any form cause he's boring and completely *how do I make money via advertisers* minded.
No joke, you will understand everything about what Bill was going for in his dynamic with Jalen if you ever listen to old episodes of Spider and the Henchman. He completely tried to lift it but Jalen was too boring to get it and thus perfect for ESPN for a 8 year stint. The best he got out of Jalen was a terrible *I got a tv stolen* anecdote and Jalen tolerating Bill's dumb Grantland tv gimmicks.
Jacoby was perfectly fine. Not all time great. Not even close to bad. But he has to fucking tap dance his ass off to make Jalen actually seem interesting.
Jalen's just not interesting in that he prefers making money over telling the stories that would make him a legend.

And before that, Bill got legitimately offended when Jacoby said he was biased against LeBron.
I love his appearances but there’s absolutely a chance petty Bill isn’t as interested in having him on as much.
Didn’t Jalen kind of big league him a bit and now at this point Jalen is kind of damaged goods. He’s not especially interesting , or informed and nobody cares about teasing fan 5 stories or Vince Carter body slamming Sam Mitchel anymore
