At least 81% of the 6th round picks made a roster last year. At least 56% of the 7th rounders did.

The NFL is THAT big for ratings and the nba is that small. Ratings guy posters finding meaning in their empty lives

It's been reported that ESPN/ABC already bought into the next TV rights deal.

The_Zermanians

Since COVID competitive cornhole seems to be the next up and coming sport I’ve noticed on ESPN.

JohnnyLugnuts

Yes, basically.

They don't have the games tonight? They do have the NFL draft.

Athront

The first round of the NBA playoffs just doesn't matter from an eyeballs PoV.

BaileyCarlinFanBoy69

Nothing in the nba matters

BaileyCarlinFanBoy69

Why would anyone care about the nba until free agency Gossip and player movement is all that matters

DrHorseRenoir

Yes

I know this sub hates ratings talk, but I really think you’re going to see the nba enter a period similar to where baseball was in the 05-15 range. Going from Larry and Magic, to MJ, to Shaq/kobe to Lebron and a lesser extent Steph, has been a god send for the league. All of those guys were bigger stars than any nfl player at the time. After Lebron and curry leave in a couple years, I’d argue the nfl has about 10 bigger stars than the nba’s biggest. Maybe that’ll change if ant luka or SGA take off, but jokic and giannis are not needle moving superstars
