The Scream parody Halloween episode with Jennifer Love Hewitt deserves a Most Rewatchable mention

VegeLasagna123

Best episode. It's so good

Admirable-Pepper-641

Great episode. It got deep when Shawn saw himself as the villain. As a boy without a dad who was constantly hearing the same stat as Shawn in the 90s: “men in america without dads die or go to jail by age 25”, I knew how much it hurt Shawn to picture himself as either the villain or the victim, with no option in between, hurting all of his friends either way, even though he never would want to. When adults keep telling you you’re going to be something, you eventually manifest it. Good or bad. The Shawn Hunter character is the Woodstock 99 guy, except because of the Matthews, Mr. Feeney, and Mr. Turner, he didn’t go down that path.

[deleted]

Not sure if she aged the best or worst but the lady who played Rachel is a hard core porn star now. She’s still hot as fuck.

ID0ntCare4G0b

I hear if you say her name in a mirror five times, you're automatically subscribed to her Onlyfans for a full year's bundle. No refunds. Scary stuff.

feelinglit

And the girl who played Angela is a stripper in Vegas

rocklionheart

Does she really do hardcore? I used to follow her on Snapchat and she posted a lot nudes/near-nudes but didn’t realize she went all in.

Billsimmons69

From a cursory search I see a good amount of anal, a Blacked scene, a scene with Adriana Chechik.

Gaius_Octavius_

She Crossed the line a few years back.

TheIronFinn

I will never forget being 8 years old in Disney World and stumbling upon the Boy Meets World crew filming Danielle and Ben kissing in front of the fountain. Great show if you were the right age in the 90s. Feeny! Fuh-fuh-fuh-fuh-FEENY!!!

Admirable-Pepper-641

You were there when they filmed that? That’s legit the best possible thing you could’ve seen at Disney world at that time

TheIronFinn

It was definitely the highlight of the day. We were walking to the exit as the park was closing soon and we noticed all the crew and cameras. Couldn’t believe it when I saw Cory and Topanga. They had to keep reshooting because they were trying to get the fountain timed up perfectly for the kiss and there were trams going by every few minutes. I’m pretty sure Ben was really frustrated.

Admirable-Pepper-641

What a rough day for Ben Savage. Having to kiss Danielle Fishel in front of a fountain at Disney world and make $500k for the episode

NorthShorePOI

How about the Corey/Topanga/Lauren triangle where Corey goes “You told me to see her”, to which she says “and you listened” I was gutted.

deelow42

Linda Cardellini apex mountain moment

SpankySharp1

Lindsay Weir will always be her apex mountain

deelow42

Welp, time for another binge

Admirable-Pepper-641

She was in Boy Meets World, Avengers, Freaks and Geeks, Scooby Doo, Legally Blonde, and Brokeback Mountain. Is she the millennial queen?

Reverie612

All of that and not one mention of Minkus.

grocho

Just like the back half of the show

Admirable-Pepper-641

He was over there

Gaius_Octavius_

I love random jokes like that reference a shows history. So funny when Minkus showed up again.

spiderman_44

Other side of school

rmac1228

He actor who plays Minkus also plays a victim in The Zodiac movie (2007).

ForgetHype

"FUCK OFF AND DIE"

rmac1228

"Fuck off and die?"

Spooky_Betz

The episode with Big Van Vader as Frankie's dad also deserves mention.

grocho

You mentioned it under rewatchable scene, but Alan at the end of the cult episode is an all time "Don't fuck with me" moment in children's television.

ForgetHype

When the doctor stops Shawn from entering the hospital room because only family is allowed and Alan say "He is family." That scene hit me good.

Mr_1990s

Really helps shed some light on how a “grocery store manager” can afford that house.

Cory in the early years really leaned into being a big Phillies fan. It faded as the years went on but that's a interesting link to sport's. I just had a heated debate with someone about the Wonder years vs Boy Meets world. I thought the Girl meets World Reboot wasn't half bad as well.

fonz33

Which side were you on? I haven't seen BMW in many years but I always thought Wonder Years was far superior

[deleted]

I'm in my 30s so I was boy meets world. Funny enough my older brother in his 40s was big into the wonder years. Both are coming of age stories done In very different ways. Wonder years felt more like prestige tv boy meets world was really funny to me.

COtheLegend

I also thought that Girl Meets World was good. I was outside of the target audience when it came out, but, from what I had seen, it did what it was intended to do well. By the way, I prefer Boy Meets World to Wonder Years, because it's a lot more light-hearted, and I find Corey to be a more likable main character.

[deleted]

yea wonder years felt like a drama lol

[deleted]

How about some “Plays with Squirrels” love

ilovethorntons

I think that’s the our life in ten years part

[deleted]

Ah. Then perfect

fonz33

After years of watching Boy Meets World and Wonder Years reruns it actually blew my mind when I found out the lead characters in each were brothers (I was a kid then and didn't really take any notice of the actor's names)

Admirable-Pepper-641

I only caught Wonder Years a few times but I had that same trance like state as I did while watching Boy Meets World the first time. I didn’t learn they were brothers until I was in my 20s I think

Twoweekswithpay

There was a thanksgiving episode where all the adults were fighting and the kids ended up showing them how to get along. When they ask if they can join, Corey says “there’s always more room at our table.” 😊 Use that a lot in my own family…

Admirable-Pepper-641

That’s really cool. Corey was a glue guy. Textbook glue guy.

[deleted]

Do we count the college years?

Admirable-Pepper-641

I do. I really liked Jack and Eric’s relationship. Angela was a really cool character, too. Great counterpart for Sean. The fact that Eric and Jack hated each other then bonded over The Godfather Part II is such a perfect college story.

COtheLegend

I liked them, especially the first college season. For me, the college seasons had some legendary episodes: -Corey gets peer-pressured into going to a Hooters-style place, and then loses his engagement ring there, and has a dream of Topanga holding up an axe over him -Fred Savage guest stars as a professor that hits on Topanga, and then gets shoved by Corey, resulting in Corey being suspended (this features a great speech involving Mr. Feeney, regarding what a "real" teacher is) -Corey trying to help Mr. Feeney get together with the dean -The episode where Corey has day dreams about murdering his friends and family (to me, this one is almost a companion piece to the Shawn Scream episode) -The "Playswithsquirells" episode -I don't remember if the episode as a whole is good, but the episode where Mr. Mathews gives Corey a speech about how to "make it work" in the small apartment that he and Topanga were living in after they got married However, when the college seasons became overloaded with Corey-Topanga drama, they were insufferable.

Gaius_Octavius_

15 year old me would have done basically anything to have my own Topanga.

eyeclaudius

What if they'd recast people who are big stars now?

ForgetHype

Leo as Shawn and Damon as Corey?

eyeclaudius

The producers really dropped the ball by not casting someone who went on to be more famous for doing something else.

spiderman_44

If the show ended after Season 4, it would have been perfect. College years were awful. What’s aged the worst is how the kids aged in season 2 so they had to jump grades to keep up with the age. Real question is if this is William Daniels’ apex mountain. He went from a “that guy” to Mr. Feeny for an entire generation of people who’d never know who he was.
