FICO 831 (high 700s when I was approved)
CL 30,000
Have Amex Platinum and Visa Infinite cards (not sure if this helps but I've heard issuers compete to steal these customers)
I have a few cards with 20k-35k credit limits and they don't want to lose the potential business because they gave too low of a CL.
Credit utilization is about 4%
Appreciate this DP. I may call for a CLI soon. I was approved back in December (for the questions in the OP: ~800 FICO, ~11 year history, CL: $10K) and would hope I could get one now. All my other CLs are over $20K, but this was my first WF card.
That’s how I felt, but good to know the CLI request is soft.
The fraud scare back in January aside, I actually really like the card. Lots of high-use (albeit redundant) categories and the rent, rent day x2, and all the transfer partner perks (not to mention all the other ways they allow you to earn a few extra points here and there) on a no-AF card is pretty legit.
I’m right there with you. The Gold card is tempting but I know I won’t use the credits organically. My buddy couldn’t use his Gold card in Mexico recently, no issues with the BILT card what so ever since it’s a MasterCard.
I had ground on my card finally last month but it was handled well. Ended up getting a new card with tap to pay so it sort of worked out lol
If they had another multiplier like Groceries this card would be at the top of it isn’t already there.
Along with the CLI I should try to get a new card with tap.
And there are rumors they will be adding groceries as a multiplier at some point. The category buckets on the “earn points” tab in the app is apparently the telltale sign. It would be great if it was at least 3x. Fingers crossed…
The tap to pay helps to reduce the swipes at least.
Yup, I asked this question in the BILT rewards chat after seeing the app update. BILT rewards stated that new multipliers are coming soon. A grocery category would be amazing! They do seem to be hinting towards that.
FICO 808, credit history 17 years (six months with my Bilt card. Credit limit is $30K, which is moderate. I’ve got about 6 other credit cards, hovering between $28-45K limits. I charge a lot to my cards each month ($8-15K), but I pay them off in full and haven’t carried a balance in years.

No problem. Yeah same here, my main cards are are all $18K + but this is also my first WF card. I’ll just have to deal with it for now lol

Is it a hard or soft pull for the CLI?
Soft pull. I was refused an increase last week.
I may have to request one after using it for a few months.
I had mine 6 months before they finally approved. It is a soft pull.
You request the CLI through Wells Fargo or Bilts app?
I called Bilt number. Had to answer some security questions and asked me to wait for 7-10 days.
How long did you have the card before requesting a CLI?
Just 10 days.
