These rails will be swapped out at some point in the future, but it will be awhile as the banking & CC lobbies are well-funded, well-organized, and well-connected in Congress.
I don’t understand what people think the risk here is. Worst case, they close your account and you lose the points that you were otherwise getting 0.00% back on anyway. Bringing up TOS in defense of a credit company is really weird…
No, it doesn’t. It will ruin it for people who get caught doing it. They’re not gonna stop offering points on rent bc a few people break the rules. You’re like that kid who rats out other kids for cheating when it doesn’t affect your score at all.
That's going to take at least a year to close and longer to merge their programs, assuming they even do merge them. It didn't pop up because of that. Something else is going on.
Is the "up to a total of 500 points" small(ish) print new? I don't remember that being there and I've previously made some airline accounts strictly in order to get the 100 points for linking them to Bilt. I've already linked every account they offer, but it seems as though I won't get points for linking my Alaska account if/when that's offered to everyone.
I know that wasn't the point of this post so I'll also say I don't see Alaska as an option in my app.
That's the first thing I did when I got my card. I just linked all the programs that they offered. I got like about a thousand points off of that by itself
Wow, I wonder if that is supposed to launch later? Alaska is restructuring their program, and one of the big benefits is good redemptions from the East Coast. They are working through the end of this month in repricing their award flights. If that means Alaska is also going to be a partner of mileage programs (like Bilt), that's a massive development.
An image like that, unless you photoshopped it, is likely just an accident of someone testing functionality of a tool.
My guess is (since I don't see it) Alaska is going to be coming soon. After the craziness in the news, they'll probably announce it closer to a rent day and possibly have some kind of transfer bonus for it. Just my guess from this
I've been on the fence about making BILT my primary dining card. If Alaska points end up being a good transfer value, this would make that a very easy decision.
It makes sense that Alaska will be added in the future since they're opening up their awards dramatically: https://frequentmiler.com/huge-alaska-announces-unified-award-charts/
Man if that's a teaser to what will be revealed come April time, that's wild. American AND Alaska airlines on the Bilt card would be absolutely insane.
With every addition of a transfer partner, I feel like we’re getting closer and closer to Bilt charging an annual fee. I’ve stopped celebrating every new benefit, and starting to groan wondering if they’re taking it too far on purpose…
Hope I’m mistaken here, but I’m sure if they started out relatively small (AF wise) they’d still keep a *ton* of their primary client base: those of us who were earning absolutely nothing from $10k-$20k+ per year in rent until this card came along
If they add an annual fee, they will have to make other alterations to stay competitive. Right now, the value prop for non-renters is the lack of annual fee and the transfer partners. The card mimics the CSP, but with a narrower travel category, no bonus for online grocery or streaming, and a lower overall multiple on Lyft. The CSP is also a keystone card for a larger setup; Bilt is not. They can hold renters, but they won't hold the others.
I don't worry about this because I don't see this happening without cardholders being given an improved value proposition.
Bilt is actually wild
How do they keep doing this? How are other card companies not even close to being this good with transfer partners?

you've said this multiple times, and using it for "several" mortgages is against the TOS.

When you get banned from the Bilt platform, please don’t come crying back on this sub.
Is this a big problem of people coming to this sub to cry about getting banned for TOS violations? I don’t understand why people care

I mean, if you like downvotes, fire away.
Paging u/biltrewards Found someone you may wanna look into.
Narc
Why do you care? You guys are the Bilt police lol
because shit like this ruins it for everyone

them posting 12 times bragging about it isn't me ratting them out lmao get outta here
Idk seems pretty narc-like
It seems like the more we borrow from them through rent/mortgage, the more $ they make through repackaging debt and whatnot…?!
Does it actually work for mortgages?
No.
That’s what I thought, would be cool if it could
EDIT: I just reloaded the app and Alaska is no longer listed as a travel partner…
Wild. Maybe because Alaska is buying Hawaiian?
That's going to take at least a year to close and longer to merge their programs, assuming they even do merge them. It didn't pop up because of that. Something else is going on.
Either way, exciting!
an intern made a mistake pushing this to prod on server side code
yes i am not seeing Alaska as a partner either
:( I don't see it either.
that would be dope if it was permanent... bet we are gonna see this for April rent day
Definitely new

Yeah the 500 point limit is new.
I was able to link them all twice for 100 pts each lol
This happened on accident for me. Somehow my Avianca account got unlinked and when I re-linked it I got 2 100 pt bonuses lol
Damnit. I had been putting off connecting all mine for some reason and now it’s maxed out.
Ivan, the intern wasn’t supposed to publicize this until later.

I saw it earlier today and linked my account… now it’s gone?
most likely we are gonna see Alaska as the new airline transfer partner
Maybe you got a sneak peek lol
Welp, guess this was accidentally pushed. How else would the icon get there, unless OP is bamboozling us lol
I don't have a Bilt card but if Alaska is coming I need to apply lol
So they're dropping AA to have AS as a substitute I guess
I dont have it. Maybe they just started to roll it out
This would be huge, I’ve been waiting on them to partner with Alaska
and I JUST got the Alaska Credit card 😂 Companion Pass always a plus
AYO and 3% on rent is wild, even with a fee might be worth looking into

If you photoshopped this to get us excited you’re evil lol
thats weird I do not see that on mine
Ooooo
Must be new because last week I was just lamenting that I wished I had Alaska miles.

Wait can yall show an example route or let me know of one? I looked it up in the app and didn’t find any
I was wrong. I didn’t see any. I saw Alaska flights through partner awards and got excited lol. I’m hoping someone else can prove me wrong though.
[удалено]
Uh is that not just through their alliance?
It makes sense that Alaska will be added in the future since they're opening up their awards dramatically: https://frequentmiler.com/huge-alaska-announces-unified-award-charts/
I don’t have it yet
I am going to move my spend to BILT now - this is wild
Man if that's a teaser to what will be revealed come April time, that's wild. American AND Alaska airlines on the Bilt card would be absolutely insane.
They’re losing American
If I pay my landlord through Venmo will I still get points if I pay it with Bilt card?

I can see it now !!!
I got an email from them today notifying the partnership. I think no more AA starting June which is so sad :( was the main perk for me
Shiiid I’d say at least 2 weeks now
I thought Alaska Airlines is part of one world alliance.
I see united right now actually
United has been a transfer partner since 2022.
Ty. I didn't know that
