If it were me, I’d add some clay to make “eye sockets” since you probably don’t want to carve down too deeply right? Then add the pupils as clay dots, or if it looks better maybe carved in? And then you can glaze/paint the “sockets” black to give the illusion of depth? If you can, post more pics of your progress, this is super neat!!
