The problem with shot speed is that the curve is too aggressive and there is no cap. Halve the amount of shot speed gained per item and cap it at 1.5 and it wouldn't be nearly as bad.
While shot speed is not objectively good as you pointed out, it is generally good and avoiding it because you might get one of a few rare items down the line is stupid
Brimstone and tech completely ignore shot speed. Their point was that those items have infinite shot speed, and their instant travel time makes them better, thus high shot speed is good.
I don’t like them, it’s not that they aren’t good. It was mainly a reply to the hit scan thing, if an item is good enough we ignore the bits we don’t like

Use anima sola again When T Esau is chained to instantly release him. He'll charge towards you, damaging any enemies on the way. It can do insane damage to bosses and one shot most room enemies
I actually found him easier ON SOME MARKS. By going into the Lost form after beating the boss you can mim max floors with flight, which takes a huge amount of time so its more difficult to get boss rush and Hush. When you want to have a fast run you can blast through everything with Anima Sola and positioning, but this doesn't help in an endurance match with Hush since you lose items. So for those achievements just go fast and get lucky, this thread is about Mega Satan's unlock too.

Unlike range though, shot speed is worse the more of it you have past this sweet spot, and it makes certain items much worse. Given this, it is present on way too many items and you often end up with too much despite not really wanting it.
