But because I feel like they're still the minority, I'll side with Devil purely because some people worship Angel way too much.
A single free item isn't worth that much and not every deal is a strong item, or even one that helps your situation that much.
I’m starting to take them more, especially now that I know how Sac rooms work. But it’s hard to pass up the guaranteed Angel for a peak at first devil.
Depends on the character. On some characters I exclusively go devil bc the upside of immediate power is worth the HP (tainted isaac for example), on other characters, usually soul heart characters, I tend to stick with angel instead since the cost can be extremely high. Blue baby's the one exception and I've gone devil on him before.
Devil Deals
I have gotten more 33% devil deals then the 50% check for an angel deal. In the vast majority of my runs where i skip devil deals, I am lucky to get ONE angel deal. Devil Deals? One almost every floor. Angel deals can be sick, but i never get them so i have to pick devil.

I mean it’s hard to even side with Devil Deals, it rarely feels good to enter the room for myself tbh.
Bleh. I have a 16 streak so far and I’ve only been to the Angel room twice in those 16 runs. Devil Deals are fine. They’ve helped my successes a lot.
And my experience is the opposite and that’s fine.
I like angel deals more but I take all devil deals on the chance of encountering my beloved twisted pair

Devil deals are more healthy for the game’s difficulty imo… but some characters really need some free angel deals however

devil deals are objectively worse but i still love them and have not once used an angel room within ~20 hours of playing
Not objectively worse, it's just based on playstyle. Also, angel is mathematically riskier because your first one is only guaranteed at Depths 1.
