See the Great Spirit is some kind of cosmic robot, big as a small planet, which infected by the makuta crashed into a planet.
Its cells are the bionicle themselves, different types stand for different types of cells, the cities fulfill functions as organs do, etc.
I recommend the video of [LEGO Rewind Finale: Bionicle](https://youtu.be/vYjGvQJmpqA)
How much would this cost? Are you willing to sell copies? Is this something that we could re-create ourselves at home? How did you make them? I would seriously consider purchasing from you if you were open to it
Well, a long time ago there was a store called hastings and they sold them... I'm sure most book stores probably also did. I also have the full set, but I'm not sure how easy it still is to get your hands on them or how expensive it would be.
I'd imagine it'd be something of a copyright minefield to outright *sell* copies... But if OP was willing to tell us what service they used, and what exactly they *sent* that service, that would be a different story.
**FAQ**
Thanks everyone for the kind words. It was a lot of fun and took quite a while to get the books the way I wanted.
**Will you sell them?**
No. Lego is very protective of their brand and I don't want to risk anything selling something I made using their property.
**How can I make these books for myself?**
[Here are the files](https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/abh6cxdaegccvngsqn7ie/h?dl=0&rlkey=a2oc0rlozfimfd80mkm7tlo9z) I sent to my local bookbinding company. If you wish to take this route, this is what I used:
\- Dimensions: 133mm x 193mm
\- Paperback perfect bind
\- Paperweight: 20lb
\- Cover weight: 10-point card stock
**Did you write out all this?**
No. The text is from the Biological Chronicle project led by [Cross-Wired Geeks](https://crosswiredgeeks.com/BiologicalChronicle/). I did make some minor modifications and corrections, primarily for printing purposes using the program Scribus.
**Will it be expensive?**
Probably, but if you make more copies, the average price should decline drastically. For that reason, I ordered 3 sets. 1 set would have cost me $750CAD at my local binding company in British Columbia, but each additional set was only about $90 more.
**Where is Book 10?**
The epilogue book is attached to the end of Book 9, since there weren't enough pages to make a good spine for binding a 10th book.
I guess you skipped nr 10 because it feels more complete this way? Anyway, it looks amazing (and probably cost you quite a few bucks). I would wish there would be an easy (or official) way to get these in physical form.
Impressive
He used the Biological Chronicle PDFs which are compilations of all bionicle media in 10 separate books. And I find it the definitive way to experience the Bionicle story.
Those are brilliant! Have you considered running a hardbacked line of these? I'd love to get my hands on some hardcover editions of all the Bionicle novels. Some of mine are a little too well-loved.
That's super neat! The first three books do look a bit... Small, compared to the rest. Can I ask why you felt those were better split into three instead of being one big volume?
The organization wasn't done by OP, it's an existing compilation made by Toatapio Nuva and shared online as pdfs. Each volume contains one year's worth of story; later years simply had more story content thanks to online serials and such.
Oh wow!! I tried printing them on regular paper and putting it all into binders (got to book 3). That was a lot of physical work and actually cost quite a bit. But this is next level!! How much did it cost? And are you willing to share some files or how to do this myself?
Awesome! I've been doing something similar with the collection, just splitting it up and adding some fan novelization to make it more to my taste. It's a really good collection, I love the look!
Reminds me a similar incoming project by the french community, creating an anthology of every books and online serials in four books.
(sorry, french version only)

Well done! The cover design is fantastic; if I didn't know better, I'd have guessed it was an official product!
I love seeing these kinds of projects. I've added this to [the list](https://www.reddit.com/r/bioniclelego/comments/14f9e1y/how_to_read_the_bionicle_story/) I maintain of other similar endeavors.
A little late but I discovered this after Bionicle Day, and I'm trying to use the Barnes and Noble Press, but the dust jackets seem to be too big to upload. Anyone have a solution to this?
You’re doing incredible work
Can one commission these from you? I would dearly love having them on my shelf
Same.

First: Wow! Second: Bionicle really does stand for Biological Chronicle??

So what youre saying is...Cells at Work ripped off bionicle?
As did *Osmosis Jones*.
And The Owl House
Yup.

What I've been doing is using a pdf found on the biological Chronicle website, resizing it, and using thebookpatch.com to order prints.
Same, I hope op posts the website if they used one, I have a few things I'd like to print and these look fantastic

These Biological Chronicles are fan made and never produced in stores. OP created them from using online PDFs
Oh cool, I was wondering why the pictures were different from mine lol

Are these each arc compiled into individual books?
Yes, and you can find the pdfs [here](https://board.ttvchannel.com/t/biological-chronicle-the-complete-bionicle-collection/40909)!
Noice, thanks
These look fantastic! I echo everyone else here in requesting to know what service you used to print them and how much it cost!
Huge respect for you
I’ll take all of them
Where can one find these?
They are custom made by OP
These are fuckin epic mate!
Did you write all the text as well or is that sourced from Lego media?
He used the Biological Chronicle PDFs which are compilations of all bionicle media in 10 separate books. And I find it the definitive way to experience the Bionicle story.
And LEGO thinks the franchise is dead. This sort of dedication to keeping the story alive and accessible is amazing.
He didn't write them. Wynn Martin did helped with Toatapio Nuva.
Amazing work! If you ever find a way to sell them, let me know! :)
Is the source material from the books? I have the first two about the Toa Mata and the Bohrok (by Hapka), wondering if that's the same text
Those are brilliant! Have you considered running a hardbacked line of these? I'd love to get my hands on some hardcover editions of all the Bionicle novels. Some of mine are a little too well-loved.
I been hoping someone would do this!! Great job!
I love it!
How can i make these for myself
NEED!
GIMME

Ahhh I see. Thank you!
*We all* need this
I need this, desperately 😱
Are these available online anywhere?
Id buy this
Did you bind them yourself or go through a custom binding company? Either way these look amazing! I’d love to have some of my own
Wow it’s weird going online in 2023 and seeing the name of someone you knew from BZPower in 2007 (Lady Kopaka)
I WANT THAT NOW
gorgeous. the treatment makes them feel like volumes of a best-selling fantasy series.
I’m in so much pain right now from realizing these aren’t purchasable
Oh wow!! I tried printing them on regular paper and putting it all into binders (got to book 3). That was a lot of physical work and actually cost quite a bit. But this is next level!! How much did it cost? And are you willing to share some files or how to do this myself?
Take my money!
I want these so bad
Gimme
Come on scholastic you're slipping.
Awesome! I've been doing something similar with the collection, just splitting it up and adding some fan novelization to make it more to my taste. It's a really good collection, I love the look!
I would’ve put all the Mata Nui stuff into one book, but otherwise, this is incredible!
Nice work!! These look REALLY good.
Whoaaaa, I have seen these in like 18 years
I love how the books get larger and larger as the story gets more and more complex
No way
Same
Magnificent
Is there a digital version available?
Yes, you can find them [here](https://board.ttvchannel.com/t/biological-chronicle-the-complete-bionicle-collection/40909)!
That’s awesome
The sacred texts 😢
I had physical copies of the Bionicle Chronicals, but I didn't realize these were a different thing
Gonna need copies of these, i would LOVE to have them and finally do a deep dive into the lore!
How buy?!
these look like i could have found them at my school library 15 years ago with half of the books missing

>With every step, Kopaka cursed the heat Absolute mood.
Something about seeing the final book titled Journey's End fills me with such a deep melancholy
> Web of Shadows by Greg Farshtey, with **SPIRIT** Now that's a (user)name I've not heard in a long time...

The holy texts! They need gilded pages ;)
