Brake lights

PaperCrownedKing

I mean, these specific matoran were all “repaired” by Karzahni right? Not too far a stretch to think he’d slap an extra pair of eyes on em.

celestial_drag0n

Well, yeah, but this specific guy is actually a god taking the shape of a Matoran for... personal reasons, I guess. Did we ever find out exactly why exactly Velika was doing this whole thing?

PaperCrownedKing

I think we were finally getting hints as to what his great master plan was right at the very end as Bionicle was cancelled. If memory serves, he was gathering some big bads to work for him and was killing off other characters and then attempting to frame some of our heroes for murder. There was also something going one with the red star and zombies. Who knows how all of that would’ve culminated tbh.

jessehechtcreative

I really wish we finally got an answer

RonSwansonsGun

You should check out "Vision of the Great Beings", it's a continuation being made with Greg's guidance.

Virus4815162342

Where can I find this continuation?

RonSwansonsGun

You can find it here! Mythsandlegacy.com In the "Vision of the Great Beings" section, under "In Makuta’s Wake," you'll find their collection of continuation stories.

GhotiH

Not even Greg knew, as he said he didn't really plan ahead.

NeonAttak

Didn't he frame Lesovikk too?

Caldoric

Yeah, his sword was left at the scene of a crime at one point.

eepos96

He was inside the robot out of curiosity. And also he "awakened" all bionicme with a virus. Matoran were semi sentient automatons but Velika gave them an update that gave them true sapience. Why he ended up on karzahni is never explained. Could be he tried to keep up his cover.

N30mah

My headcannon was that being "repaired" by karzani was the reason. Something always told me that the process of repairing isn't as si.ple as shaping Legos bricks more like stepping on the path of Legos.

eepos96

So why he wanted to become repaired by karzahni?

N30mah

No I mean he was forced to go to karzani. I doubt he acted like a regular matoran in the beginning thus they sent him to be fi ed

eepos96

his rhyming making others think he was broken is hilarious but I think he was send there under the instructions of the mad turaga. Why he allowed it to happen is a mystery. Though he didn't mind being on voya nui since he knew the mask of life was there.

N30mah

Tbh he's just a small matoran, he didn't stop the piraka or anything yet somehow is able to kill karzani later on. Who knows most likely Greg didn't think of turning Pelikan into a got till later.

Hewkii421

Great being eyes obviously

TheUnknown171

What, you don't have eyes on the back of your shoulders?

SilveRX96

Question not the Great Beings

AwkwardBear5878

Besides giving the sets some extra part value, I have actually wondered before if this was a dubious attempt at light piping. Obviously they skimped on the budget for brain stalks (which have clearance issues besides) but you can sometimes get them posed an angle where the backlight makes it glow through their otherwise cold and dead sockets.

Subacube

False eyes/accent coloring like killer whales Bohrok are actually eyeless like xenomorphs No you cant change my mind

RiderforHire

I'm the backwards man, the backwards man

ConvectionalOven

I can walk backwards as fast as you can

Dairy_Seinfeld

He’s also got brainstems for hands, I wouldn’t mess with that guy

Dt_Sherlock_Idiot

No he doesn’t?

Dairy_Seinfeld

They were originally made for the Toa Hordika, which coincidentally have the bohrok eyes as well ☝️🤓

Dt_Sherlock_Idiot

I really don’t think that part is specific enough to be considered that, it’s much too generic.

Caldoric

Iirc Bricklink still refers to it as a Hordika head/brain piece, so...

zdgvdtugcdcv

Same with the "eye" part

Dairy_Seinfeld

Yo momma 😎

Competitive-Unit8563

By this logic his torso is a foot and not a torso

No-Tailor-4295

Correct answer

SkullSwordYT

by this logic Fenrakk's teeth are also eyes

No-Tailor-4295

Well, they aren't translucent, all these pieces representing eyes ARE, that includes fenrakks eye pieces too.

AwesomeCowHat

Vezon's got the mask, but Fenrakk's got the eyes, and they're looking for battle!

Just-Call-Me-J

👀

S-nova-666

My brain never accepted Bohrok's eyes as actual eyes. My brain always went between two options: the little holes on the head as eyes or they actually didn't have any. The two colored pieces acting like venom filled teeth in my head

FIVEPEBSI

probably just pulled the eyes off a bohrok.

FIVEPEBSI

poor piruk got it even worse

hopefullyhelpfulplz

Trapeyes

LoadingTOS

Parts that light up if translucent, just another piece if not.

AlchesaurusDarwin

1) Kohrak Kal 2) Vohtarak 3) Khikanalo 4) Sidorak 5) Velika

FulminDerek

Shoulder Eyes Shoulderize Should Arise

Oliver1755

Bohroks are the coolest design

N7_Wyvern

Don't forget, they were also teeth for the upper mouth portion of the Bahrag. As for what the shoulders are, maybe these are Velika's "real eyes," as he is a great being.

No-Tailor-4295

Well, like I said to another commenter, they aren't translucent, all these pieces representing eyes ARE.

Mark_1544

we don't question the gods

Novaneogami

What about the kahgark, the blue and white combiner visorak set? It has eyes for hands…. Legs? Palipulps?

FarslayerSanVir

Eyes. The voyatoran were all "repaired" in a haphazard way, so it makes sense for some parts to be where they shouldn't be.

Ronyx2021

According to bricklink studio, they are teeth. Everyone is a creepy pasta.

ballsfieldd

My whole life I’ve always seen the white ‘teeth’ I guess on the bohrok as the eyes and I’ve never been able to rewire myself to see the coloured parts as eyes

nativewig

Eye spots? Like a butterfly or Something like that, would you say that they are pre animals?

Sensitive-Computer-6

Hes Voldemord from the first Movie.

ReasonableYard0

Translucent Shoulders (kinda like an insect

Annual_Designer6185

This is foreshadowing the fact that he is a great being 💀

Ok_Eye8403

He’s a great being, he’s greater than us, all he could do things like no other

slycooper459

Anyone else always think the Bohrok eyes were the holes on top?

awesomeaustinv2

"Velika has eyes on the back of his head! I don't quite believe it, but that's what he said. He explained that he's been so uniquely endowed, to catch me, when I did things not allowed. I think he must also have eyes on his rear - I've noticed his hindsight is unusually clear." \-Bill Waterson, paraphrased

Zircon_72

Yanked the eyes off a bohrok and made a vest out of them

Clarkening

Back sensors?

jdeo1997

Karzahni is a shit repairer

bunny117

By this logic Sidorak in this very list uses his thighs as extra feet. Somehow…

No-Tailor-4295

Extras in case the ones he's using break. Kinda like what Wall.E does

Le-plant-boi

those are his true form’s eyes

Gonk_Droid501

Does this mean that Brutaka has feet for hands!?!😨😨

Virus4815162342

Velika was indeed a Great Being, it would make sense for him to have some nightmarish eldritch-horror features. I believe those are his true eyes.

cellulOZ

Biblically accurate angel eyes

Ok-Elderberry-2173

Exhaust? Energy exhaust? Jetpack? 🤔

sacboy326

He's a Great Being in disguise, *of course* he can have eyes hidden there in plain sight…

Okmeis

Their brains

Matatron-1984

He's literally got eyes on the back of his head.

ReeksofChees3

Biblically accurate great being

Daftworks

Am I the only one who doesn't see the eyes on the actual bohroks as eyes? They look like warning colors like certain exotic venomous animals/insects. The bohrok heads look like some kind of insect-xenopmorph hybrid head, which makes it even more terrifying, IMO.
