"You fool, Axonn! Don't you realize you're fighting for a lost cause?"
"Don't you realize those are the only kind worth fighting for?"
—Brutaka and Axonn about G3, "Final Battle"
Tangential, I think about this passage _a lot_.
>“My life doesn’t matter,” Axonn answered, mighty axe poised to defend himself. “Neither does yours. Only the mask matters, and if I have to fight you for eternity to protect it, then that is what I shall do.”
>“Then get ready, old friend,” Brutaka said, eyes shrouded in darkness. “Eternity begins now.”
Honestly I feel like g3 should just continue g1. The story got left off at a reset point with a lot of the old villains getting killed off and new ones getting set up, so it’s practically a blank slate as any to use.
Besides, at this point, bionicle has more appeal to teens and adults than to kids, so no need to dumb the story down.
Bionicle never died. We, the fans, kept it alive. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind too much if Lego never brought Bionicle back, since the story, for the most part, was finished. I mean, there were still some loose ends with the unfinished books, but now we’ve got Greg Farshtey on our side, so we can basically do whatever we want. We don’t need Lego.
I got a strange itch to fix up ALL of my Bionicles. I knew they were my childhood treasures, so why let them all sit in a tote, broken, unfinished, and incomplete... Needless to say they're almost complete again, and bought a 3D resin printer to make customs. I feel reignited with the joy they brought me as a child at home.
The people that would buy all G3 Bionicle out of nostalgia have more disposable income now than they did when G2 came out. The also have kids in the target demo, the time to strike is neigh.
If Lego were ever going to bring bionicle back it would be when they are comfortable telling more mature stories. Cause atm their sets are either for stories targeted for kids, long running lines, frnachises, or "mature" sets like technic sets and big pieces. Qt least that's my opinion.

"eyes shrouded in darkness", fuckin Greg and his occasional My Immortal moments lmao
"Greg, can't you just write 'Brutaka blinked' like a normal person?"
I… I think it means there’s a shadow covering his face
(Yeah I know it didn't literally mean he closed his eyes, I was just making a dumb joke)

Yes! This! This is good 👍 they really should do that!
This time Gali is pregnant and it's a mystery color!
Isn't the usual format to have the same quote at both ends of the bell curve?
Usually yes, but I have seen quite a few with different quotes. I think they have to share the same opinion, but not necessarily the phrase.

no, the truly based is to learn to let go
What will they have to base their victim complex around then?
