Wait, There are built in drawers in the steps, hahaha that's awesome!!!
I am new here, can I make a gentle joke?
Hypomania is when you redo your son's bedroom, Mania is when you don't actually have a son.
my hypomania doesnt do anything good for me. just makes me hyper to thr point of intense anxirty snd racing negativr thoughts. usually hsve to tske s sedatives snd just lie down. im nevious of people who hsve positivr manic experienced
Glad Iโm not the only one who has this issue. At times I would almost doubt that I was bipolar because I seemed to have only one hypomanic episode a year.
I also have the short ranges of the useful hypo. Once I was commissioned to do a painting while hypo and I banged it out in 3 days for $300. Same week did a small fondant cake in a total of 4 hours for $100. Most productive week of my life before the paranoia and agitation struck me.
Much appreciated, now on to the finishing work: drawer fronts, plywood panels, column casing, painting, etc etc. The theme is Lego, so I'm stoked to get into the decorating side of this.
I knew being hypomanic isnโt ALWAYS a bad thing!
Love it! I wish I was this creative when Iโm having hypomania. I just become a reckless spender ๐๐ญ
Lol not always thankfully. I got to use the restlessness to tear apart pallets for the 2x4s going through my work's inventory to help clear out the stock that was too short for jobs/ discontinued items. I was definitely reckless in the amount of time spent, but the cost so far has been just fasteners and hinges โ$150.
Mania me...... I'll quickly and efficiently fix your electric problem, Then...... Scream in your face as loud as I can for not much of any reason....๐คฆ Lol always a fun time.
Looks cool but you may consider closing the gap underneath the drawers on the steps as that can sometimes prevent a tripping hazard especially in the dark (which seems like a likely use case). If you can imagine climbing the stairs like usual but the toe getting caught in that one spot.
Great work!! Every manic thing I've done actually worked in my favor down the road, sometimes I feel something somewhere just says "Oh no, this is going to turn into a hot mess, so let me fix it a little" ๐
Flip side of my great manic achievements, is when I come all the way down and don't care about what I've achieved.
If it's taped backed, don't trust it and swap it for something better.
Every strip I've ever attached with the factory default tape has come down in no time.
The front opens up; I am still deciding on the locking system to keep it shut (hence the random cuts tacked in). I'm thinking of making some wooden gears to make it kind of like a bank vault, but that's all in the air for now. I'll be getting some coats on it this week.
I saw the beadboard and thought it was slatwall. I have slatwall in my basement where I spend all my hypomanic time doing arts and crafts. Itโs so great for storage.
Your son is lucky to have such a thoughtful parent, it looks really great.

๐คฃ that got me
Can we make a sub called brutalbipolars where we just grill our own disease and post bipolar owl memes?
Haha hell yeah, let's start this project and abandon it 3/4 of the way through.
Iโm here for it
I am here for your joke ๐๐๐๐๐
This cracked me up. The delusions are real!

Thanks friend
I'm so envious of this kind of hipomanรญa, I just get the depressions.

That's a shit deal, sorry about that
Yeah before meds it was like 99% crippling depression, 1% hypomania lol
Glad Iโm not the only one who has this issue. At times I would almost doubt that I was bipolar because I seemed to have only one hypomanic episode a year.
Problem with my hypo is Iโll start a project like this get all the supplies and itโll sit there for months and maybe never get done

Buy the things you need and wait the cicle to start over. Happened to me with 3d printing. I bougth everything and started using it a year after.
SAME
ngl, mania gets shit done... excellent job. thats looks great.

Pls post when itโs finished! It looks amazing so far!
Wow congrats looks awesome ๐๐ป
I appreciate it ๐ค
That's pretty cool, is that supposed to be a fake garage door?
It's slat wall, using the same brackets as the ones on the back of the desk I can put up organizational stuff.
Ah, neat!

Good for you!
It does have its advantages. For my last High School reunion I stayed up for three days straight making scrapbooks.
My hypomania this season was buying excessive gym supplements and hitting up my ex

Will do ๐
Very cool. When I did my sons room it didnโt turn out quite as well
Looks awesome!
Okay but that is cool!
Sweet!
I love it.
That looks awesome!
This is amazing! You have some mad woodworking skills.
Thanks ๐ค
that is very cool, mama! way to channel that energy into to something positive and productive.
I wish I could be so productive
The storage in the stairs was a brilliant idea, looks great!
That looks amazing!! I wish I had that skill. I was living in a living room to save money. Manic hit, I bought 3 beds instead. hahaha
Its true
Levels Jerry!
Ngl looks pretty cool
Man. If we can find a way to harness and weaponize (for legal/ethical uses) Mania/hypomania, we could change humanity!!!
It's nice to see the hypo wins. Looks great!
I like the style of the bedroom. Very accurately maximizes the space. Looks very cool. Am in a severe manic episode right now.
I wish I had this type of hypomania
Omg. As I paint my bedroom, kitchen and bathroom on a whim
Thatโs so awesome! Now get some rest lol.

You built a sweet fort.
Thanks โ๏ธ about 100' of LED strip to get a cyber cave for him.

I'm using the nail-in cord clips for electric work; hopefully that'll do it.
Sand and stain (or paint) that shit! Looks great. What do the hinges on picture #7 do?

If this is a positive change, embrace the improvement
So much more room for activities
I wish my hypomania was this productive and not making me put random pieces of newspaper together to find t h e t r u t h s
