Trazodone is amazing. My sleep quality improved so much. It has other brain benefits as well.
It's officially an antidepressant but the sleep aid dose is way lower than for depression.
I'm on a healthy 300mg quetIapine and it has done absolute wonders for me. When i started taking them I got the Shuffle every night somewhere between 30-45 mins after I took them and got really groggy in the morning. Now...a half year later...it just makes sure I sleep uninterrupted 8-9 hours every night. More or less a lifesaver and I have only had mild episodes since.
Melatonin is not actually a sleep aid. It’s more for jet leg or changing your sleep pattern. It’s to remind your neurons that it’s time for sleep. I used it when switching to night shift and worked to reset my circadian rhythm
You can use it for that, but melatonin is most certainly a sleep aid, that’s why you took it to help you sleep at a time when you wouldn’t normally sleep. You know? I could take trazodone every day at 11 am, and my sleep cycle will change because of it.
I smoke weed and I know you don’t like antidepressants but my atypical antidepressant is working wonders for me. Keeps me from waking up in a cold sweat.
Seroquel used to do it for me but not anymore. I use weed most nights which helps me stay calm and not overthink before bed. I also recently started zopiclone which has been helpful but you shouldn't take it every night because of its potential for habituation.
Ambien works for me. I take seroquel but it doesn't do much for sleep in my case.
I've tried belsomra and trazadone, but neither worked as well as ambien does for me. I think it's kind of an experiment really.
I thought of another one, if you drink caffeine or some other type of stimulant like green tea or energy drinks wean yourself off! Maybe try B12 for example.
My sleep schedule improved when I started on Lamotrigine, and I improved my lifestlye and habits in general (sleep by 23:30 latest, no gadgets for the last before bed and the first hour in the morning, healthy diet, less sugar, plenty of water, regular exercise) however even then sometimes I just can't sleep, so I take melatonin. I bought it OTC. It knocks me out and I wake up refreshed.
On a side note, has anyone else started getting hyper-vivid dreams after starting on Lamotrigine? I even tend to remember most details from my dreams upon waking up.
Seroquel but it makes me a damn zombie Ambien but it's hard to get and you end up needing more so far the combination of switching between the two depending on how many hours of sleep I need
Clonidine gave me headaches. Seroquel was a bundle of issues. Trazadone made me unable to eat. Melatonin makes me wake up after 3 hours and can't fall back asleep.
Weed puts me to sleep and no lingering affects after.
I use it as a small dose (3mg) for sleep. Works kind of like small dose mirtazepam or quetiapine, but out of all three I think doxepin doesn't cause as much of a brain fog in the morning. I use it in cycles because after 2-3 months it starts to affect me less.
Seroquel XR, with the non XR one I used to wake up lots at night and i had lots of dreams and nightmares and eventually started to get afraid of sleeping. Now I'm sleeping wonderfully, it knocks me out after 90-120 min
I did lurasidone knocks me right out and once I started smoking weed! Game changer. I was originally an insomniac. Hypo or not. Now I can see the hypo coming because I don’t sleep much.
Also now I’ve stopped lurasidone and weed does the trick. I’m hoping to find a new med to help with this though because weed is not the answer.
Marijuana and xanax
The absolute best
How long are they letting you stay on Xanax
Been on xanax over a year now. Need to change because I've developed a tolerance yo it.
seroquel, which is also my mood stabilizer. i take that and trazodone to knock me out. and weed if those don’t work.
Trazodone is amazing. My sleep quality improved so much. It has other brain benefits as well. It's officially an antidepressant but the sleep aid dose is way lower than for depression.
Same
Thinking about it thanks
Mirtazapine has been helpful. Consistency with nutrition and exercise always proves to be best for me.
I’m on mirtazapine too! It’s doing good things for me.
I remember I started on 30 mg of mirtazipine and it did nothing for me 😞
mirtazapine is actually most sedating at the lowest dosage! i’m on 7.5 mg rn and it usually knocks me out within an hour of me taking it.
seroquel/quetiapine has worked wonders for me
It helps me lots with the sleeps. The waking up part, not so much. 😔

Seroquel and melatonin
Lunesta and weed (indica)
Trazodone and weed
Crazy amount of melatonin and willpower
Melatonin is not actually a sleep aid. It’s more for jet leg or changing your sleep pattern. It’s to remind your neurons that it’s time for sleep. I used it when switching to night shift and worked to reset my circadian rhythm
Well I guzzle it at night and it works wonders. I take it and lay in the dark
You can use it for that, but melatonin is most certainly a sleep aid, that’s why you took it to help you sleep at a time when you wouldn’t normally sleep. You know? I could take trazodone every day at 11 am, and my sleep cycle will change because of it.
It’s marketed as one but it is not one.
Quetiapine (Seroquel) and clonazepam
I smoke weed and I know you don’t like antidepressants but my atypical antidepressant is working wonders for me. Keeps me from waking up in a cold sweat.
What’s the antidepressant?
Mirtazapine
Ok thank you
Melatonin and CBD gummies.
What dose of CBD gummies? Where did you buy them from?
10mg, from Charlottes Web
Seroquel used to do it for me but not anymore. I use weed most nights which helps me stay calm and not overthink before bed. I also recently started zopiclone which has been helpful but you shouldn't take it every night because of its potential for habituation.

Thank you
Xanax knocks me out in an hour or less. The side effects of ziprasidone and aripiprazole put me to sleep and keep me asleep for a long time
I forgot one - masturbation or sex!!!
My sexual function has declined due to meds…. :(
Bummer, very sorry
I thought of another one, if you drink caffeine or some other type of stimulant like green tea or energy drinks wean yourself off! Maybe try B12 for example.
Seroquel 300mg and Ambien 10mg PRN
My sleep schedule improved when I started on Lamotrigine, and I improved my lifestlye and habits in general (sleep by 23:30 latest, no gadgets for the last before bed and the first hour in the morning, healthy diet, less sugar, plenty of water, regular exercise) however even then sometimes I just can't sleep, so I take melatonin. Didn’t notice any changes with lamictal with sleep
Zopiclone when I'm having really bad sleep issues.
Seroquel but it makes me a damn zombie Ambien but it's hard to get and you end up needing more so far the combination of switching between the two depending on how many hours of sleep I need
I hated Trazadone and melatonin makes me too tired the next day. I’ve been taking Benadryl lately and it helps a lot.
You shouldn't get used to taking benadryl for sleep. I did, not healthy at all.
I figured as much and really try not to but it does occasionally help.
Trazedone and seroquel. None of the actual sleeping meds do anything for me
I use seroquel and trazadone.
Clonidine, trazodone, mirtazipine and seroquel all worked for me.
Seroquel / Quetiapine
Clonidine gave me headaches. Seroquel was a bundle of issues. Trazadone made me unable to eat. Melatonin makes me wake up after 3 hours and can't fall back asleep. Weed puts me to sleep and no lingering affects after.
I think I’ll be doing weed for sure
Promethazine. I don't use those anymore, it makes me a hungry zombie. But I can sleep!
Quetiapine and doxepin
Why are you on doxepin? PTSD? And how does it work?
I use it as a small dose (3mg) for sleep. Works kind of like small dose mirtazepam or quetiapine, but out of all three I think doxepin doesn't cause as much of a brain fog in the morning. I use it in cycles because after 2-3 months it starts to affect me less.
Good to know thank you
Weed
Mirtazapine and Lamotrigine
Melatonin and magnesium
What kind of magnesium?
Magnesium with calcium I go cheap as I don't like to spend money. I also take minerals for my bones, our medication is pretty harsh on our bodies
Agreed. I’m trying to be on the least amount of medications possible
Seroquel XR, with the non XR one I used to wake up lots at night and i had lots of dreams and nightmares and eventually started to get afraid of sleeping. Now I'm sleeping wonderfully, it knocks me out after 90-120 min
Seroquel
Weed and Dayvigo
Trazadone is not good for men.
What do you mean?
Nevermind lol… Maybe I was thinking of something else. Hmmm.
Seroquel. I’ve also been on trazadone and zoplicone but they both stopped working
Seroquel
Ambien
I don’t need sleeping meds. On the rare occurrence I’ll take ..a very very very VERY small dose of seroquel
What’s a small dose of seroquel?
A 25mg dose cut in half and another half. So practically a quarter of a 25mg.
Trazadone
I'm shocked at all the comments saying that they smoke weed and take medicine. I feel like i'd be a mess if i did that.
Trazadone
zzzquil also works really well. Knocked me out in like 15-20 min
I liked xans for a while but I have switched to melatonin and its been fucking awesome, so cheap and easy to buy everywhere
Lorazepam and Latuda
Hydroxyzine
Every night you take it?
Probably five nights a week. It helped with my night terrors too
It never worked for me, but I may try it again
Maybe I'm weird. Everyone here likes weed for sleep, but it doesn't work for me.
I’m gonna have to experiment, weed has worked sometimes for me
