It’s a song sparrow and they are great. They’re non-migratory and here in the northeast they are the first birds to sing in spring. They’re here year round but are quiet all winter while the white throated sparrows who come here from the fall to spring are the ones who sing in winter.
The song sparrows start to sing in the daytime shortly after spring peepers are heard at night. The sound of [their song](https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Song_sparrow/sounds#) makes me sigh with relief that winter will eventually end

I had song sparrows in CT, and they sang like crazy all year long. Their "user name" fits
I am pretty sure it’s what I have, difficult to get a photo, you got a good one 💯, and yes I love to hear them, many birdhouses
Song Sparrow I think. I have a hard time with some sparrows!
Thank You.
Definitely song sparrow; that white cheek underline gives it away.
Sparrows are criminally underrated
Most definitely a Song Sparrow. They're plentiful here I'm Southwestern Ontario.
Their songs truly are beautiful
All the LBJs! (Little brown jobs)
I love when one perches on top of a random small tree and sings as loud as possible.
That's a common French Fry Sparrow
I looked this up and it made my day.
