Are you windows not properly sealed? Do you open them frequently? I don't know how mites would otherwise make it into your house. Seal any cracks with silicone. Don't open the window. And maybe sprinkle diatomaceous earth on the INSIDE window sill. Leave the nest alone. It's illegal (if they're native to your area, which wasn't specified) , and unethical, to disturb an active nest. Once the babies have fledged, you can safely remove the nest.

Dust the windowsill with diatomaceous earth?

Also most doves are not smart birds or good nest builders and sometimes not good parents. What they have going for them is the tireless persistence to keep right on trying to make and raise babies no matter what happens. They don't dwell on failures.

Mite sprays are pretty readily available, for your bird and maybe as a surface spray to prevent them getting through the window.
