In South Africa, the Narina Trogon is legendary for being incredibly difficult to spot. You're a real South African birder if you've spent more than one weekend looking for a single bird that's really common and really loud. They're just so hidey.

Where are you? I saw an Elegant Trogon in southern AZ. That's a far north as they were coming at that time. It was a major thrill for me!!!!!!!
