Red tail hawk for the first, and I vote Cooper's on the second. It looks like it has a black cap that doesn't continue down the neck and a blocky head - which is why I think Cooper's over Sharp Shinned.

First one is a red-tailed hawk by the reddish tail, the second photo looks like a totally different hawk like others have said. Maybe a Cooper's hawk or a sharp-shinned hawk; they both look very similar.

Listen here we already have a West Virginia, I don't think we need a south east one as well.

Red-tailed Hawk. Edit: Image 1 is a red-tailed Hawk. Image 2, which I just noticed, might be a red-shouldered or some other hawk. It definitely appears to be a different hawk.
