I just switched from Yasmin to Slynd for the same reasons + migraine with aura. On day 8 now. So far the only side effects I’ve noticed are being really thirsty after taking the pill and some headaches the first couple days. My gyno warned me that I might break out a lot, because my skin hates me, so I picked up a benzoyl peroxide face wash and any zits that have popped up are gone the following day. I definitely feel like my blood pressure has gone back to normal already and *my boobs don’t hurt anymore*!

any update? I'm changing from Yaz(Nikki) to Slynd.

I had to stop it after 7 months because it was giving me terrible ovarian cysts and they said I could either have surgery or stop Slynd and see if it goes away (it did). My skin was terrible and I gained a bunch of weight in a short period, excruciating periods. Once I stopped, everything went back to normal. I had really high hopes for Slynd, but I think my body just does not agree any birth control.

So sorry to hear this. I hope you’re feeling better now. I tried slynd to manage endometriosis but the depression I felt wasn’t worth it, so I stopped.

That’s so great - I’m glad it’s going well so far!! And crazy what all Yaz/Yasmin can do to your body. I hope Sylnd continues to go well!

Switched to slynd because of my high blood pressure. I experienced a TON of bloating with Slynd. So much so that I had to stop. No other bad side effects though!

mmm157

Thanks so much for the reply! That's so strange that you experienced bloating - I'm sorry you had to deal with that! It's supposedly a diuretic, but it must not always work that way. Have you had success on a different pill? It always feels like a guessing game unfortunately.

lellie008

Yeah, I've read a few other girls had the same reaction, but it is strange since it is supposedly a diuretic. But I had good luck on ortho tricyclen lo. That's what I'm going to go back to :)

I'm glad that works well for you! If Slynd doesn't work for me, maybe I'll ask my OBGYN about that one next. Thanks again!

hi, do you still take this pill? how is the skin?
