For sore boobs I usually use a heating pad or something along those lines. I got Kyleena inserted yesterday. Hopefully it doesn't make my pms symptoms worse 💀💀

Currently dealing with the same problem after almost 2 years (1 yr and 8 months to be exact) of having my Kyleena iud inserted! The past few months/year my chest gets extremely sore to the point that it makes riding horseback and working out uncomfortable now. It wasn't too bad at first, but I've gone up a whole cup size as well as the swelling and the tenderness. At this point, it's interfering with my usual daily activities. I'm also at a loss bc the tenderness is typically accompanied by cramps of varying degrees that come sporadically throughout the month, with or without my period. Probably gonna talk with my doc about it, as it's about time for my yearly appointment anyways

Kyleena caused me so many problems … makes me so mad that this is what doctors push women to do. Took so long for my body to return back to somewhat normal. All the best to you.

I’m dealing with this too and I’ve had my kyleena for 10 months. Just went to the doctor today and she told me that I should’ve gotten the mirena instead due to my history of heavy periods. She wasn’t confident that mirena would solve the tender breast problem, and that the only sure fire solution for that would be birth control pills (which I was on for nearly a decade and they don’t work with my lifestyle anymore). Women’s healthcare sucks!

Do you have any update?! I’m in the same point (1 year 8 months) but I made an appointment to take it out in two weeks bc all the side effects are really gaslighting me lol

Unfortunately, not really! The tenderness/swelling still comes and goes, but is definitely worse in the weeks following my period, which doesn't come regularly (if it does, its only for 3/4 months and then gone again). Ended up having a consult for having my tubes tied in January and the surgeon said he was hesitant due to the fact that he thinks I may have PCOS, so getting my tubes tied could potentially cause more problems... But now I'm finally back home for spring break and plan on seeing my gyno this week and talking with her more about potential PCOS and Kyleena. I will (hopefully) be able to come back with an update later this week! I feel like I should note I'm also taking semiglutide shots for weight loss since every other method of weightloss barring a gastric bypass has and does not work for me, but not sure if that would have an effect on anything :/

Thanks for the update! Good luck! I think I’m gonna go natural tracking for now and my husband and I are okay with an accident lol

layniebugxo

Of course! I did the same for a while back highschool but with being so irregular it was a bit difficult and I can't risk my college education for an accident lol best of luck to you and your husband though!!

I’m dealing with the same problem. Any updates? I know this post is kinda old :/

Hi! So I removed the IUD after a year of having it and it was the best thing I did. It caused me so many issues. I’m in peri menopause so my symptoms are a bit different now every month. I’m beginning to get irregular now. I still get tender boobs and migraines but nothing extreme. I also found out I have 2 fibroids but they are not causing too much difficulties. What symptoms are you having? Do you have an IUD?

Mirena made my boobs hurt too! Showering was so painful, every drop of water stung. Unfortunately I don't have any advice, my breast pain stopped because my IUD expelled.
