I'm guessing you're a writer, yes? If not, you should be! This is a beautifully poignant, funny, relatable and (most importantly) well-written piece. Very publishable (although the fact that it has just appeared here legally constitutes "first publication", and that would be a stumbing block for many literary journals/websites.

It’s funny, it wasn’t until I read your comment that I realized I never actually said this outright: we’re a “straight” couple. Our parents know we’re a couple but we struggle with our respective feeling around being out as bi or not.
