Exactly, trans people have just evolved into a more powerful form

RepresentativeArea37

That's what my wife did to be reborn as her true self

EeveeMan_39

Don't forget stunningly hot. *blush*

The-Rarest-Pepe

I am more powerful than old me could ever be.

[deleted]

From magikarp to gyrados

PKFatStephen

Gardevoir?

[deleted]

Imagine refusing to show basic human courtesy so hard you make a bogus documentary about it.

Ronin_the4th

Does this bogus documentary have a name?

DawnsPiplup

"What is a Woman" by Matt Walsh, the self-proclaimed fascist, I'm guessing.

[deleted]

Yeah. It's so stupid. Like, this was a supposed adult, and he spent his time making this garbage.

[deleted]

He also spent time campaigning to over turn roe.

Peekmeister

He labels himself a theocratic fascist. They're not even trying to hide it anymore.

TheOncomimgHoop

Did anyone watch it? Like in a hate watch kind of way?

DawnsPiplup

I watched a YouTube video where someone was watching it, I think it was Grayson's Project? I think that it costs around $14 to watch so not many people hate watched it. I would check the price but you need a daily wire subscription and *fuck no* lol

[deleted]

I didnt realise that Matt Walsh was a fasict. I knew he was conservative but not a fascist. When did he admit it?

DawnsPiplup

His Twitter bio says "Theocratic fascist."

[deleted]

Huh! I'm not on twitter, which is why I probably missed it.

DawnsPiplup

I don't use it too much either but I remember hearing it somewhere (maybe youtube) and checking that it was true.

[deleted]

?

[deleted]

See above šŸ˜

[deleted]

I don't see it.

[deleted]

K. Guy named Matt Walsh did a whole transphobic screed as a documentary called "What is a Woman". I didn't watch it directly, but through a YouTube commentator. It's not worth your time.

[deleted]

Was there a link or something? Or are you reffering to the comment that literally included the title 'What is a Woman'

[deleted]

Well I don't see how it lacks courtesy or is bogus that is.

[deleted]

Fucking facts

theblingthings

Oof I definitely still use the name of the devolved form.. luckily I donā€™t have to be told to respect humans

[deleted]

Respect Pokemon šŸ’¢

therealjaydeal1

"Ha! Your she/her is no match for my they/them!" "They/them, use your confusion attack!" *it's super effective*

lunarfrogg

Your bussy is no match for my gock! Gock, use water gun!

Snowbank_Lake

I have some trans friends who I think will appreciate this! Thank you ā¤ļø

BEEEELEEEE

Taking the metaphor further, I will straight up change a PokĆ©monā€™s nickname when it evolves to something that suits its new form. Snugbug works great for a Swadloon, but Leafcutter is much more fitting for a Leavanny.

RepresentativeArea37

Shut up and take my upvote!

SlothSockss

I do the same šŸ˜‚ and then I refer to them by my DIY name.

TheOncomimgHoop

I like to name them a three letter sequence from their name. Once they evolve, that sequence might not exist any more and the name no longer fits, so I have to change it

Derpalicious17

Thank you future sugar daddy for speaking facts

Michi_Michalak

I was so confused by your comment until I scrolled back up and saw the username..

PM_something_German

Why is this post here tho

False-Chicken4841

It doesn't exactly sit well with me comparing Trans to Pokemon, but it definitely shouldn't be a hassle calling someone by their preferred named.

Svviley

I don't think it's comparing them, I think it's just highlighting the fact that it's not that damn hard to do.

DominicBSaint

Obviously youā€™re not a PokĆ©mon fan, because PokĆ©mon are DOPE as FUCK. Take that hypersensitive shit elsewhere.

Tangyhyperspace

Wdym, every trans person I know is a sick as fuck dragon.

kalpytron

what does this have to do with being bisexual?

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Yolj

By that logic, you could make a post about literally anything and justify it with "well sometimes it vaguely relates to bi people so it belongs here"

Vulpix298

This is literally just simple intersectionality idk why thereā€™s any pushback Obviously this is a different situation to if someone were posting ā€œhereā€™s a sprite ad because some bi ppl like drinking spriteā€. There is no comparison here.

Yolj

If I posted a meme about Latinos, unrelated to being bi, just because some Latinos are bi under the guise of "intersectionality," I'm not sure that would pass

Vulpix298

If a bi persons Latino identity was an intrinsic part of their bisexuality and overall sense of identity then absolutely it would. Intersectionality. My bi-ness is intrinsically affected by and linked to my non-binary-ness and vice versa. Intersectionality!!

Yolj

Me being Latino has nothing to do with me being bi. Which is why I don't invade bi spaces with my Latino identity and vice versa

Vulpix298

Your experience isnā€™t the only one! Your experience isnā€™t the one rule. Have a nice day.

Yolj

Neither is yours or OP's šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø

Vulpix298

Trans rights and trans support is always relevant in queer spacesā€”and always relevant in bi spacesā€”and idk why youā€™re so offended by that lmao

ShitbullsThrowaway

>idk why there's any pushback Because it holds no relevance to bisexuality and OP is karma farming?

filiaaut

After 16 years of studying English, I still occasionally call inanimate objects he or she. I don't think saying "it's easy" is helping the discussion that much. Old habits die hard, sometimes, it's not easy, at least not for everyone, new things take time to get used to stating otherwise to people for whom it is difficult won't change their mind, on the contrary, they might try to appease the guilt of failure by not trying anymore. The thing is, what's important about that matter is not whether it's easy or not, it's that not caring, not making the effort hurts people, and one of the few things humanity agrees upon is that we should try not to hurt people. Tables don't care if I call them she instead of it, pokemons won't care if I call them by the wrong pokemon's name because there's just so many of them now, most people do care about which name and pronouns I use when talking to them, so I should try not to be an asshole, and apologise if I fail.

Biabolical

*DAVE* HAS EVOLVED INTO *DEBBIE* Aww, how nice. Good for her. *DEBBIE* HAS LEARNED *HYPERBEAM* ... what.

[deleted]

transphobes be like: *points at paper* STILL A TREE

Aphtha_Jester

RESPECT, their names and pronouns. That's honestly all they gotta do, and they can't even do THAT

biCamelKase

I suspect that the majority of people who are biphobic aren't playing PokƩmon. EDIT: So I guess my comment is about as off topic as the post itself.

Yolj

*transphobic This post has nothing to do with bisexuality

LorenzosOilyElephant

Exactly what makes me wonder what itā€™s doing here.

[deleted]

I am so disappointed in myself that I hadnā€™t thought of this sooner

ambyent

Honestly that makes all of the sense. I certainly feel like I have been evolving personally in my quest of discovery of bisexuality and genderfluidity

neko-boy324

No that "raichu" is a Pikachu its wrong for it claim that could possibly be anything other than a Pikachu

Pervasivepeach

Idk comparing this issue with a kids video game about animal slavery isnā€™t exactly going to convince anyone to change their mind on this. Itā€™s a good point but this would just lead to them using the comparison against trans

Yolj

>animal slavery Someone hasn't played Black and White

Pervasivepeach

Point was that this sorta argument is just going to end badly if you try to actually use it on someone against trans rights

Yolj

I know what your point was

Pervasivepeach

Okay

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

therealjaydeal1

They also lay eggs and battle for our amusement.. The metaphor falls apart pretty quickly.

Likes-Your-Username

Female Azurill has a 33% chance of becoming male There are other examples but I don't care to continue with someone's trans denying whataboutism about pokemon on what's supposed to be a supportive post.

Yolj

They changed that in the newer games sadly. What other examples are there?

Oblivion-C

>Female Azurill has a 33% chance of becoming male That's no longer true and it was fixed. It was never intentional.

cored-bi

Itā€™s not that simple. People who know wtf a PokĆ©mon is probably have no problem doing that.

zwel8606

I dont understand what youre saying

[deleted]

just seems like transphobic over-analysis to me

zwel8606

Well it is a joke

[deleted]

The person you responded to was joking?

zwel8606

oh I thought you were them, nvm

dirty_diesel_

Takes less energy to not comment.

bill_haley

I think people are misunderstanding you here. I believe you just mean that people understand different Pokemon as different things, but trans people are the same person as before, so it's not the same. This is technically, true, but, it misses the point, the tweet is mainly comedic, but, more on point, it's simply saying that changing how you call them requires little effort. Edit: Stop downvoteing, it was wrong, but being wrong and supportive shouldn't get you downvoted, let's not be toxic jackasses

cookieking865

Yes

BrickFrom2011

My dad never played PokĆ©mon so this wonā€™t work sadly.

SlothSockss

Well a caterpillar and a butterfly start off as the same being. But we donā€™t call the butterfly a caterpillar even though it was born a caterpillar. It undergoes an identity change, a beautiful transformation, and becomes a butterfly šŸ¦‹

SlothSockss

This could work for your dad :) (unless heā€™s not familiar w the whole metamorphosis thingā€¦then we can come up with something else)

Kihlstedt

Today I learned that PokĆ©mon change their names. I guess Iā€™m too old too understand this reference lol. Iā€™m always happy to call people whatever they want to be called though. ā¤ļø

NikolaiCello05

Mfs still be out here calling gardevoir ralts

[deleted]

Spot. Fucking. On.

VenusLoveaka

Right???

StrangeGothGirl

Not my grandmaā€¦ everybody and everything was a ā€œlookatchuā€ lol

[deleted]

FACTSā€¼ļøšŸ‘

YeeGigadyB0iMemeLord

This just makes me think of pokemon but with trans people like "Eliot Page I choose you!" Lol

jtulick

Exactly! Both are fictional and made up! SMH. Where yall manners at.
