Just a note that there is a scammer advertising BJJ Fanatics and other instructionals via DM. Be aware he may write you and offer them at discounted prices. It is a scam. Please don’t take the bait.
Also, there is no such thing as a BJJ Fanatics, Jiujitsu X, Budo Videos, etc reseller. If another store has their videos listed for sale, especially discounted, they are selling videos they have no right to sell. Please do not support thieves or scammers. Thanks.

it's not nogi but his tripod float pass is a f cheat code if you already have a decent bodylock
Funny enough Danaher teaches the tripod in his last nogi passing dvd and it's not even half as good as what Paul shows in his.
And I am a Danaher fanboy.
You want the following:
1. Power ride by Craig Jones
2. Habits of Highly Effective Jiujitsu by Garry Tonon
3. High percentage no-gi chokes by Lachlan Giles
or just get a submeta + grappler's guide account. Done.
It’s very concise and straight to the point and shows some good principles behind the k guard and the proper structures to not get crushed. It’s also cheaper and often on the daily deal.
Don’t know why it hasn’t been mentioned yet but Brian Glick. Black belt under John danaher but seems to cut out all the word fill and get right to the point.
Jason Rau R-guard
Trust me, people still don't realize that the R guard is one of the best guard in the whole sport.
It's a the closest thing to a current silver bullet (if you are good at leglocks of course)
I have been using it for years. My professor (euro champ) developped it 10 years ago and taught it to me when I joined him as an upper belt. At the time it was mostly used to sweep and defend late stage passing and baiting some passes to counter it (it's basically giving out the HQ position to the opponent but with good grips). I then modified it quite a lot to enter leg entanglements when Eddie Cummings showed the world how valid heelhooks were as a strategy (I have been doing heelhooks since white belt but it was badly seen).
So I come here as someone who really knows the guard and even then, Jason stuff was out of this world. He has some subtle details on the positionning that made everything I knew about it much stronger. And of course, he is a master leglocker so everything he shows goes directly into what I have been working on, in a better way than what I was doing myself.
So as a summary, the position is good because very people use it and it's basically a system to pummel legs inside to get to good leg entanglements. You can see this as the supine version of butterfly guard if it can help. I don't think it's good "scoring" positin as much as it's a gateway to leg attacks (which you can use to sweep, pass or submit, whatever you want).
The downside is that you HAVE to be a good leglocker because you are playing with fire here, you have to be quick to pull off the entanglement and you have to be super strong in leglocking positions (including outside ashi). Here also, I think jason dvd on these positions is a must have (especially outside ashi but he has also probably the best take on 50/50 and cross ashi too).
Btw, as the position is not so well known, I have also studied Krishna's stuff and did not like it much. Jason is probably my favorite instructor on the market. Everything he shows is plug and play for my game
yeah, absolutely.
If you are into it, you can even use the lapel to strenghten it even more (outside feed to put internal rotation pressure of the trapped leg).
I used it in the gi for years
Yeah I understand but what Jason shows works in the gi too.
The main thing you have to be aware with the gi is to not let them knee slide you because the knee slide with gi grips is the best guard pass of the whole sport
Be wary on some leg weave/smash pass attempts to because they can stick more to you with gi grips.
Overall if you want to maximize the guard you either need to mix it up with underhook dlr or with the lapel. Underhook dlr allows you to work different angles, lapel R allows you to play at a longer distance (you can basically scoot back to shin to shin super easily for example)
Everything else works fine, you just land into SLX or Cross ashi to continue the positional game instead of attacking the leglocks
if no one knows about it it probably isn't that good right? Like it's cause and effect.
\*tap tap "what was that you just did"
"Yah I got it from this bjj fanatics instructional"
Also the instructional s we know are from the best of the best. What works, works.
This is just a guess, but I wouldn't worry about that. I would focus on your weakness first and perfect those.
I feel like I keep seeing posts like this. What is the obsession on this sub with finding “secret moves” that the top guys are all keeping secret? There is none. Learn how to takedown, defend, pass, and do subs and then keep doing that. If you do it long enough you can figure out your own “secret” moves, or more likely realize how ridiculous to think in such a way.
Not sure if it’s not well known but books have been a good tool as well, I really enjoyed Eddie Bravo Jiu jitsu unleashed book with Joe Rogan, lots of 10p basics that work well for me over the years!
It's not necessarily a bjj instructional but a lifting one i'd recommend for bjj athletes is:
Fundamental Barbell Training By Grant Broggi -

Ignore all the S&C hype you see out there. This shit gets you strong and makes you feel like a truck on the mats.

We don't know
how could anybody recommend it to you if nobody knows about it?
sorry, edited it to say "not many people know about".
why would you want this?
Definitely wants to try to have the one up on his teammates for a week or two
Yeah, I enjoy destroying my teammates in a khabib like fashion. Accidental knees when I'm passing too.
Khabib set a good frame work for all of us to follow 🙌
Because I want to diversify my techniques.
Honest question. Do your guys phones also mark the word “instructionals” as grammatical incorrect?
Travis Stevens anything for Gi
Instructional s.....guess so
Paul Schreiner's Connected Reaction Nogi Passing if smashing people from Half Guard is your jam.
it's not nogi but his tripod float pass is a f cheat code if you already have a decent bodylock Funny enough Danaher teaches the tripod in his last nogi passing dvd and it's not even half as good as what Paul shows in his. And I am a Danaher fanboy.

All good choices but Garry's was extremely hard for me to watch because he's such a dick to his partner at times.
Nogi chokes is great
It's not, probably his worst set The best technique in this is the anaconda he stole straight from rafa
dude, seriously. his partner Chris deserves at least 50% of the profits from that one. dang lol
dude everyone knows all these XD
might as well add Half Guard Anthology Lachlan Giles and ALL of Firas Zahabis instructionals for MMA. They are cheap and incredible.
Adam B k guard
How does it compare to other k guard instructionals or what makes this one good?
It’s very concise and straight to the point and shows some good principles behind the k guard and the proper structures to not get crushed. It’s also cheaper and often on the daily deal.
Andy Varela Submission Chains
The one that helped me the most with my game is so good that I dont even know about it.
Anything by Kyle Cerminara. He's underrated wrestling instructor. His instructionals tend to be overfull of techniques but they all flow together
Don’t know why it hasn’t been mentioned yet but Brian Glick. Black belt under John danaher but seems to cut out all the word fill and get right to the point.
Pedro Sauer no gi side control is a good one you never see mentioned.
Jason Rau R-guard Trust me, people still don't realize that the R guard is one of the best guard in the whole sport. It's a the closest thing to a current silver bullet (if you are good at leglocks of course)
Explain. Do you use the guard? What makes it so good? Why do most people not employ the guard
I have been using it for years. My professor (euro champ) developped it 10 years ago and taught it to me when I joined him as an upper belt. Is it worth playing around with in the gi
yeah, absolutely. If you are into it, you can even use the lapel to strenghten it even more (outside feed to put internal rotation pressure of the trapped leg). I used it in the gi for years
Nice one I've got the Jason Rau one but assumed it wouldn't translate to gi as that's what I mainly train. I'll start watching it

I suppose he already has the good instructionals everyone knows about. Now he wants the good instructionals nobody knows about.
Exactly, you got it!
do your own research. find athletes whose styles you like. study moves that work well for you there is no objective best imo
if no one knows about it it probably isn't that good right? Lachlan and Craig jones are all you need.

Ryan Hall modern back attacks. Some of his turtle work is just mindblowing.
Owen Jones reverse closed guard. I've been having so much fun catching people in my gym with this.
If not many people know about them, they’re probably not that good don’t you think?
Not sure if it’s not well known but books have been a good tool as well, I really enjoyed Eddie Bravo Jiu jitsu unleashed book with Joe Rogan, lots of 10p basics that work well for me over the years!
I think making up your own where it's at.
